Avoid this company at all cost!! My partner reserved a minivan, and we drove all the way from DTLA to Covina for pick up. Only to be told our reservation is not available. Offered us a more expensive truck that we didn't need. Seems like a bait and switch. Mr. bald headed man told us to call an 800 number to find another location ourselves. So we decided to leave. Then we get a $75 charge on our credit card for a no show, which will be disputed because we were there on time at 2:30pm on Monday June 3rd! They can check their security cameras if they want. BBB complaint will also be filed. Worst experience ever. Bad business practices.

If I can give them a negative I would not hesitate. I want to save you the time you will waste renting from Budget. It's not just this location but their company overall. I had reserved days prior an online reservation for a van. When I arrived they did not have the van available. The man working attempted to call a couple locations for an available van but none was available and told me to call myself to another Budget. The purpose for the rental at the location was to pickup some items nearby and drop it off at another location that will not exceed the mileage. My plan for the two day rental went to waste and a couple of days later I get a charge on my credit card. I called their customer's service, which I had to navigate from one person to the next. Finally, someone tried to help but it took her an hour to make the claim report. The Covina CS man was rude when I said I was not interested in a truck because it was priced almost twice the amount of the van. He got upset and rudely walked away. So, save yourself the headache. It was my first time with Budget and my last. I will never let anyone I care about do this with their company. I'd rather pay a bit extra because customer service and satisfaction is more important than saving a few dollars.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION! I rented a car on 3/9/23 for a 5 day trip to Vegas on 4/24-4/29. I pre-paid so I would get a better rate. A few days before my trip I called to confirm only to find out they would not have a car for me at the arrow hwy location. Customer service transferred my contract to the citrus location. The manager, Alex Morazan stated that he would honor my pre-paid price, and that upon the return of the car he would refund me the difference from the higher price, since it wasn't my fault. Upon returning the car, he told me 48 hours had passed because he was off on the weekend, and couldn't refund me. He would have to send customer service an email to refund me and to be patient. I waited 2 weeks and still nothing. Only to find out they charged my credit card an additional $71.50, two weeks after the return of the car. When I went in to talk to Alex, he tried to gaslight me and tell me that the original contract was only for 3 days and I added 2 days, which was a COMPLETE LIE!!!! My original contract was for 5 days. He said he could not do anything and that I would have to take it up with customer service AGAIN!!! Alex gave me his word that he would honor the price, he lied to me, and then made up a story about the original contract. So low and behold, to date, I've paid $505 for a car I originally prepaid for $238. Their employees are rude, unapologetic, and unprofessional. When we picked up the car, they just handed us the keys, never went out to check the car for scratches, gas, etc. Only to find out the car they gave us had a "need maintenance" light on the dashboard, so they had to change us to another car, causing another 1/2 hour delay. These people are deceptive, and their customer service department does nothing for you! Beware...Alex also manages the Budget on Arrow Hwy in Covina. Also, each time I've been there there's always been an angry customer. They tell you you what you want to hear over the phone, but when you get there it's another story!!!!!!!

Find another location to rent from, I had a horrible experience with a truck rental from the Covina location at the address of 241 S Citrus Ave in Covina Ca I picked the truck up on Friday April 7th. The staff at the location were rude and did not even acknowledge my presence for serveral moments upon my arrival. I requested and paid for a dozen moving blankets, which where not provided. When I noticed these were not in the truck I attempted to call the location to bring it to their attention and they did not answer the phone even after several attempts over a few days.The cab of the truck was clearly not cleaned between rentals. There is mud all over the floor mats. The interior was dirty and a beanie is shoved into the side of the passenger door, left over I assume by a previous renter. Upon arrival to my destination as I was unpacking my belongings I was greeted by a large Roach that was living in the van. I do not have any roaches in my previous or current residence I am certain this roach was not a result of me. I also found dead roaches on the bottom of a bag of mine that was behind my seat while driving in your truck- see attached photos) I have called the Covina location multiple times hoping to speak to them and have never had my phone calls answered. I don't recommend Budget Rentals at all anymore because so far dealing with CS to get some sort of a resolution has been time consuming and they are also NOT taking my issue seriously at all. I can't even fully unpack my things because I'm worried about a roach infestation in my new home.

Apparently Budget is also on a Budget! If you want a dirty car, bad windshield wipers and horrible customer service then you're in the right spot! If not then I would avoid this place at all cost! Please budget let's step it up and start with new management because Alex is the worse :(

DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS BRANCH!!! The manager Alex is the WORST at customer service. First of all, the car that we had reserved was not available when we got there. Okay, fine. Then the car that we did get was dirty as ever when we got inside. Okay, fine. We went on our trip and came back safely. When we came to drop off the car, I went to speak with the manager who seemed to be taking his sweet time on a personal call, laughing and ignoring me, the "valued customer". While I was waiting for him to finish his personal conversation, I had a chance to look around and see that the actual business venue was as dirty and unkept as the car they had given us. To make matters worse, when he finally got off of the phone only to tell me to GET OUT when I asked him why the car was so dirty when he had gotten it. He pretty much pushed me out the door and locked it. I kept my cool the whole time knowing that the place was as shady as the manager looked. I was in shock! I called the corporate office and filed a complaint, which was an easy process and the girl on the phone, Valerie, was very calm and nice and helpful. I was very upset that such a big company allowed people like Alex to manage their branches. He couldn't even speak English, and his customer service skills were non-existent. He seems to only help the Spanish speaking customers which whom he was also ignoring until the last minute. The employees that work there looked very unhappy and stressed out as well. There was a girl named Aisha who checked us in and she was as inattentive as the so-called manager. She tried to give us the car without checking it, asking us to mark the slip if there were any dents or damage to the car. Why is that the customers job??? Horrible service. Rent your car from somewhere else if you want to deal with better management. Good luck!

Everyone here is so helpful! Quick service and friendly staff! Especially Alex he was quick and very informative of what I was getting and paying. Will be coming back and recommending my friends and family!

Rented a 14' truck. Truck was dirty inside and out couldn't see out of windows. Truck was old. Gas guzzler. Truck drove terrible. Making all kinds of noises. Felt like it was going to fall apart. Also they take forever to check you in or out. Their computers are old and slow. Probably from the 90's. Definitely not ever renting from there again.

My husband and I rented a car from Budget this morning and I must say this was the best, quickest service I've EVER experienced! I've always used Hertz or Enterprise in the past but NEVER would things run as smoothly as they did today! Budget will DEFINITELY be my first choice when renting a car from now on!

Very dirty car even with covid and opted for no insurance online then the dude at the counter says oh you prepaid initial and sign and guess what I got charged for.. you guessed it $250 charge of insurance and the small SUV wasn't clean so they gave me a bigger SUV horrible on gas and the radio buttons were so hard to push we couldn't enjoy it the whole 5 hour 45 minute drive!

Do not RENT A car from them! They are terrible. We made a reservation a week ahead of time so my fiancée could help me move fromLA to Sacramento and when we showed up they said they have no cars?!?! Are you serious? They failed to notify us AT ALL. Very poor customer service.

The bad reviews are all true! Reserved an intermediate car 2 weeks ago. Went to pick it up today. The place is very dirty. The only 1 guy working said there are no more cars. This place is giving Budget a very bad image. My first and last at this rental place.

PLEASE DON'T RENT A TRUCK FROM THIS LOCATION!!! I would like spare you the anxiety and grief that you will definitely experience if you rent anything from them. If I could give negative stars I would. I really wish I would have read the yelp reviews beforehand. My husband rented a 16" truck almost 2 weeks prior to our moving day. The day before we get a call that they didn't have the truck so they could only give us a 12" truck, but with 200 miles for free. While we were waiting for the rep to help us at the office, a 16" truck was delivered so we thought we would get it. The rep proceeded to give us this b******* excuse that it was still under an open contract and they couldn't give us the truck. We were beyond livid when they wouldn't honor our reservation and give us the truck. I asked him if he could call the office the truck was coming from to see if they could close the contract and he said no. He made no apologies for the fact that they completely disregarded our entire reservation. We had also reserved a dozen furniture blankets but they only had a handful. The staff were unprofessional and non-apologetic for what happened. Instead of getting a 16" foot with a ramp that would have fit all of our stuff, we got a 12" truck with no ramp and a handful of furniture blankets. We had to take two trips instead of one and ended up having to pay our movers for additional time because we couldn't fit all of our stuff in the small truck them gave us. I hope this office gets shutdown as it is a poor representation of the Budget Corporation. Never will go back!!! I'm so furious that I plan to call headquarters to report it.
