I thought I was going to be fortunate bringing my computer here. Was going to pay at least 250 to get my laptop fixed and it ended up being that they wanted to charge me another 100 as much as Best Buy was charging me. They did not fix it for the price they said and they also fucked up the computer more. It would turn on and charge and now it doesn't even turn on and it doesn't sense my charger. Thanks very much for nothing and making it worse.

This place was amazing, and I thought I would have to buy a whole new laptop. Julian was able to fix my HP laptop after the screen went black, and I couldn't see or do anything. He gave me a very fair and honest price and got it back to me within the next day! If you need your computer repaired, don't hesitate to give them a try. Thanks again guys (:

I came here giving it the benefit of the doubt. Bright my computer to get the software fixed with one line on the screen. I had to call to see if my computer was ready when they said they would call me it's ready. I went to pick up my computer and it had two additional lines on the screen I asked about them and the lady started being argumentative about the lines. I was just asking a simple question. Then I asked if they had a warranty on the software and she goes to describe what a warranty is and insult me by saying I look confused. I know what a warranty is. I was just waiting for her to stop the attitude and just a answer my simple yes or no question. The lady has a bad attitude and I can tell she treats her husband like crap. Poor man tried to help and she always takes over and he just sits there quietly. The place is very cluttered . I will not recommend this place and will never come back again. Biggest mistake this year.

I had poor service when I went to this place. To be clear the repair was well done and the price was fine. But the service was not good. I would go so far as to say I was purposely misled a few times. The repair should not have taken more than 2 weeks tops. That's generous. They kept my computer for about 2 months. Why? From what I was able to gather (and believe me trying to get any reason was like squeezing water from a rock) they were getting a lot of new orders and my unimportant, less costly repair, was pushed back while they worked on other repairs before mine. Yes, that's right. Even though I took my computer in first, they ignored my repair and worked on other ones. I think all of us can agree this is not how business is done, especially when the customer is not informed. When I finally called about my repair and found out it was not ready and he couldn't explain why I expressed my anger. After nearly 2 months the last thing I expected to hear was the repair had not even been finished. Btw I think waiting and not bothering them for 2 months demonstrates a lot of patience on my part. Anyhow the owner was shocked I was upset. Huh? He couldn't or really didn't want to explain what happened. I had to keep pressing. Had I been asked at some point if it was okay to delay repairing my computer for whatever reason I would have been open to that. Instead I wasn't asked, informed or even contacted once. When I was speaking to the owner he offered no apology. To be fair his wife did apologize later. His wife is the only reason I did not leave a bad review at first. She was friendly and professional and we had what I thought was a good conversation when I picked up my computer. Recently however I called to see if they could replace my battery. They looked my name up and remembered me. I was told I would get a phone call with an estimate. I waited to hear back. I waited another day. Here I was again...waiting. Never got a call back. So I'm guessing they decided they did not want to do business with a person who gets upset because her computer took almost 2 months to get fixed and no one bothered to communicate that or to communicate anything. Uh huh. Okay. When I called to ask about my battery I was lied to about a callback. They never intended to call. Okay. So I feel I have been misled once too many times from this place. And for no reason really. I was trying to be kind by not posting my experience at this place. Now I just realize the friendliness was probably all fake. It's their business and they don't have to fix my computer. I'm not upset by that. However I don't respect the way they handle issues. A simple phone call, a simple explanation and definitely a simple "I'm sorry for the delay" would have been easy and professional. It would have been enough for me. But I didn't get it. Don't know what to say. If I'm being "punished" for my response to their bad business then I guess it's only fair I get to tell my side of the story. Telling me you're going to call back with an estimate and then never calling is unprofessional and dishonest. That's what we think. Glad I found someone else who is communicative and honest to work on my computer.

Honest, professional, and kind. I highly recommend taking your business to First Step for computer issues. Geek Squad wanted to charge me an astronomical price for a simple fix (although not simple to me because I don't know computers). First Step provided the same service for less than half of what Geek Squad quoted me. First Step employees were very kind, explained everything so that I understood, and got my computer back to me a few days faster than I had asked for. Two thumbs up!

I called to set up a car trailer rental and it took a while. They kinda messed up on the info I gave them. You have to bring the trailer back to the pickup location. You can't drop off the trailer at any U haul location. Took a while to hear back from them.
