Very nice bookshop with good art and literature selections. Pleasant staff and reasonable prices. When I moved to Covina I was very happy to see one of the dwindling number of non-chain bookshops was located here.

Great selection. Books are mostly in very good or better condition. Seen some rarer books that I have not seen elsewhere. I’ve been to dozens of used bookstores across the country and this one is in my top 5.
Established in 1981, johnson rare books & archives offers a wide array of materials from fine first editions to holographic letters, vernacular photography, archives, and other cultural resources. Our bricks and mortar location in downtown Covina, The Book Shop, is located about 20 miles east of Los Angeles. The shop is open three days a week and houses and inventory of some 30,000 titles, ranging from the general second-hand to the truly antiquarian.
