“If you are in town to fish for salmon or steelhead this is the place to stay. It puts you at ground zero for fishing on the Smith River. There is also a diner and a convenience store within walking distance.”

“Rooms are a little dated, but clean. No biggie for $70/night! The staff was very nice and the Christmas themed lobby was delightful!????I would definitely stay here again!”

“We loved our stay, simple as that. My son and I were on a road trip and picked Curly due to its location in Crescent City.

The room was clean, the beds, while old and a little creaky, were pretty comfortable and we both slept well.

As for the noise, I don't know if anyone was above or not but we didn't hear anything from the room.

It seems to at least have been partially renovated, the bathroom area looked great.

Of all the hotels my son and I have stayed at on our summer trip this year Curly is one of only two we would stay at again.

The owners were great and made us feel welcome when staying there.”

“This hotel had great customer service, I liked the hospitality given to me here. Scott (front desk clerk) was very helpful and informed me about Crescent City and the surrounding area. Room is nice and serviceable, plus they have all the amenities you need to get rest and relax on your way through the Redwood forest.”

“Great place to stay in Crescent City. Laundry facilities were really nice. Everyone was so helpful. They don't have cribs or pack n plays, but we made it work. No complaints at all- great location, nice bathrooms and clean rooms. Breakfast was good and the view was beautiful on the bay side.”

“This is an excellent motel. Although Crescent City is small, the rooms inside were very spacious, clean, and had a nice desk and office chair for reading, as well as in-room coffee and shampoo etc. The bed was my favorite part, and the pillows ranged in size for your preference and one was very supportive. The desk attendant was extremely professional. You will receive a text asking if you need anything and they are welcoming.”

“Overall this hotel serves the purpose. Rooms had smell. Beds need fitted sheets as they roll up if you toss and turn. The shower was great and towels, air conditioner worked perfect - no bugs. The receipts were not provided at check in or after.”

“This stay had our favorite view from our room. The see the shoreline and open expanse of the ocean was breathtaking. This hotel is also walking distance from a few restaurants, downtown park, and animal rehabilitation area.
The pool area was small but nice and offered a pool, hot tub, sauna and shower to rinse off from sand. The fitness room was under maintenance and breakfast is not complimentary. There is Seaside Restaurant in the hotel that offers breakfast.”
