STAY CLEAR FROM THIS SHADY PHARMACY!!!
Pharmacist Michael K. blatantly LIED stating insurance was processed based on the patient's date of birth, resulting in the patient being charged $70 for medications, including antibiotics and pain relief for a minor child. When the patient’s guardian contacted 986 Pharmacy in Lake Arrowhead;
Michael K. was rude and dismissive, failing to inform them that they had been placed on hold. Upon returning to the call, he claimed, "I could not tell you because you just kept talking." When the guardian requested to speak with the manager, Edrick, he revealed that Michael had left the line unattended to answer a personal emergency call about his dad.
This situation raises serious concerns about Michael K.'s professionalism, especially since he charged for medications that should have been covered by the patient's insurance and lied about processing it. His behavior during the call was disrespectful, leaving the guardian to speak to music instead of addressing their concerns. The manager confirmed that Michael's actions were unprofessional. As a result, I am determined to seek services elsewhere to avoid further interactions with Michael K. I am disappointed by the dishonesty and lack of professionalism and was frustrated to learn from Edrick that 986 Pharmacy is independently owned, leaving me without a formal complaint avenue beyond him.

Thought I might have Covid and when my family went to get a inhome test kit the pharmacy in Crestline was kind enough to give me 8 test kits for free.

I really wanted to support this local pharmacy, as I do not like spending money with large corporations. My unfortunate experience started with the two week delay of one of my prescriptions, then the condescending looks and tone of the tall male clerk each time I picked up and paid for my medication, and it ended when multiple employees told me over the phone that my prescription “just hasn’t arrived yet” for 4 weeks. Mind you, this 4 week long delay was for an extremely common and readily available medication; after having my doctor release my prescription from this pharmacy, I was able to get the same medication from a neighboring pharmacy in just one day, and the pharmacists there were so much more polite. Furthermore, the pricing for my medications at my new pharmacy is a fraction of what I was paying at this local pharmacy.
It’s really a shame, because the one redeeming factor of this place was the one non-white individual who worked here. She was absolutely wonderful and very helpful and courteous; unfortunately, I only saw her there once. :(
It’s terribly sad, but I just can’t support a company that polices and restricts a person’s medical requirements.

I've always love going to this pharmacy over the years. Fast and efficient. But I miss Randall. He was the BEST ever in there. So now it's more of a like going there.

I had a question about my doctor's prescription and called my doctor, a clinic, a phone nurse, and not one call was answered after a frustrating hour and a half. A friend suggested I call a pharmacist and forget a doctor. I called Lake Gregory Pharmacy near my home and the pharmacist, Ed, asked the name of the drug, the circurmstances of the diagonosis, and answered me imediately, The relief mixed with my gratitude was spontaneous and now I am going to do my best to get my insurance company to redirect my medications to this sweet little place from the corporate coldness of the place in Blue Jay ASAP. Thank you Ed.

I've worked in some sort of CS capacity for many years. I really notice and appreciate when folks go the extra mile to be helpful.I am soo appreciative of LGP staff (you know who u are) that gave me the needed bullet points + proper number to sort out Ins. issues.It made it easy for me to do the proper follow-up and get things straightened out.This is just such a great little pharmacy. I really appreciate all the care they provide to their customers.

Had a tooth extracted. And of course they prescribe painkillers they initially said they weren't going to fill my prescription. I had to tell them that I had to a tooth extracted for them to actually do their job. This is borderline illegal(HIPPA laws) me having to disclose my medical condition for them to do their job. Cause me a ton of stress.
