This place is absolutely horrible. Complete garbage. My dog was pouring blood after her stitches popped. Like I mean it looked like a soda fountain but with blood by her belly. I rushed over and carried her in with a bloody towel. The receptionist asked if I had an appointment?? I thought this was ER?I ended up filling out paperwork - and we waited. After 30 minutes my dog got restless and started moving which triggered the outpouring of blood once more ALL over their floor. I kid you not, the employees all stepped around it for 10 minutes until on of them came out and was like “There’s blood all over the floor…” Man at reception “We’re on it.” (they were in fact not, as they giggled away at whatever small talk they were laughing at as my dog lay in a pool of her own blood).Over an hour passes and my dog is still laying on the floor - dried blood caked on her abdomen and leg. I asked the receptionist what the hold up is, triage doesn’t take over an hr - as everyone else has gone in. She says “Because your baby is stable and actually it does sometimes take that long.”At this point my dog is shaking and sleep but I am worried about the amount of blood loss. I take her to another hospital and leave. Waited from 9:50-11:05 with no help or communication.the next place says she needs immediate major surgery (possibly, we’re working on other remedies) :(I would not recommend Access for severe or urgent medical emergencies. Pic of towel I was carrying her with to understand the gravity of the situation and how lax they were.

Dr. Schachterle and her team, Karla and Myra, in the exotic department are the absolute best and consistently go above and beyond for me and my senior rabbit Norman. The level of care, communication, and compassion exceed my expectations every time. We absolutely adore Dr. Schachterle and are so grateful to have such an experienced and caring team while going through all of Norman’s various challenges, emergencies, and surgeries.I would also highly recommend ACCESS 24/7 emergency services, which I’ve used for my rabbit as well as my dog over the years. Will never go anywhere else!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR EXOTIC ANIMAL TO THIS VET!!!!!!Do not make the mistake I made by taking my chameleon (exotic pet) to this “24” hour open vet. My chameleon had a lump on his neck and was not eating, but was very active and looked happy before I took him to the vet. Once I received him, they diagnosed him with a dilated stomach and inflamed esophagus. Therefore, when I was given him, the nurse GRABBED HIM BY HIS STOMACH not even gently, and considering if your pet has a stomach issue why would you grab them like that without doing any research or considering how they are feeling?!? Poor behavior done. Let alone SO MUCH MONEY SPENT! Two days later he passed away. Spend your time on looking for the perfect place.ALSO, so much wait 4+ hours just in wait, chameleons get stressed when they are waiting without anything, etc. Poor behavior done.

I came in today with two sick pups. Both tested positive for parvo. The whole team was amazing. I am so grateful for all the amazing people who helped us today.Every step of the way each person from check in to vet techs , the doc and the doctors assistant were extremely patient and compassionate. This hospital doesn't even have a parvo isolation unit but they still helped us and did their best in giving us our best chances. Thank you for everything you do here.

I was referred to access by my vet to go through emergency on Saturday morning. My vet had recommended an ultrasound for my cat as the night before his iron was low and they saw a mass on the xray. At the three hour I tried to find out about the ultrasound results. After four hours they called me and recommended a blood transfusion for around $1,000. After nine hours I got a call from the vet telling me that my cat had cancer of the spleen and was bleeding in the abdomen! Prognosis very poor. After nine hours at access and $2,880.47 later I made the decision to euthanize my cat. I never even met with the vet the whole time I was there. Please avoid this place.

I visited this emergency department for pets at 10:00 am because my dog had been experiencing vomiting and potential signs of blood. From the outset, the approach of the staff was not reassuring. My dog was quickly taken to the back for examination, and I was informed that imaging of her abdomen was necessary, which seemed reasonable at the time. After a lengthy three-hour wait for the ultrasound, the measures recommended by the vet struck me as excessive given the circumstances. They insisted on IV fluids, nausea medication, pain management, and oxygen support without providing a conclusive diagnosis. This pressure to agree to comprehensive and invasive interventions without clarity on my dog's condition felt like a push towards the most expensive options rather than what was medically appropriate. The ultrasound results showed "some food" in the stomach, but there was no clear diagnosis or further explanation from the vet on what was causing my dog’s symptoms or what the recommended next steps should be. This lack of information further compounded my frustration and concern.I was stunned when the suggestion of surgery was floated without a definitive diagnosis, after I'd been told only food was found in the ultrasound. To me, this signified a lack of genuine concern for my pet's well-being and suggested a profit-driven motive.Adding insult to injury, the billing process was opaque with unexpected charges, including a "miscellaneous" fee of $200 which was not clearly defined, and medications administered without my consent. After over eight hours, my dog's condition had deteriorated, and no proper diagnosis or treatment was provided. This is unacceptable and argues against their professionalism and empathy towards both pets and owners.I advise fellow pet owners to seek care elsewhere as this facility's priorities seem misaligned with the compassionate and transparent service one would expect from a veterinary care provider.Final bill over $1000

Firstly,I want to address that it’s hilarious that ACCESS is only responding to the positive comments. Wow, A+ for customer satisfaction and care. This is the worst hospital that you could ever take your pet to. We had taken our German Shepherd Bella to this hospital about a year ago To get an MRI and She was then diagnosed with IVDD. The neurologist insisted that she needed In order to be able to recover quickly And not become paralyzed down the line.We had done the surgery And we thought everything was OK but things got worse very quickly afterwards. First of all they messed up on some thing during the surgery and my dog had more disc collapse, they gave absolutely no proper post surgery care and they didn’t even check in to see if she should be getting other types of treatments to help the only thing that they called to do was to check in to see how she was doing right after the surgery and insisted that she come in for an epidural shot. They didn’t even suggest for us to take her to physical therapy but upon doing my research that is something that is highly recommended for dogs after having this type of surgery in order to properly heal and learn how to walk .Fast forward six months our dog unfortunately lost control of Both of her back legs we had taken her to physical therapy on our own accord and the place that we took her to was absolutely amazing, it’s called CARE, in LA.This place was amazing and they had gotten a wheelchair for my dog and all was well, as well as it could be for her now being paralyzed from her waist down due to the mess up on the neurologist part at this hospital.Unfortunately, Bella has had several UTIs as a part of her condition with the IVDD and we have given her several different types of antibiotics that our veterinarian( from a different place - Aloro pet hospital- they are also great!) and unfortunately the medication’s were not working so our doctor recommended that we go to ACCESS for our German Shepherd to get a ultrasound because they did not have that equipment there and that they had to prioritize her because she was a patient with them a year ago and that her UTIs are a direct relation to the surgery that she had for her IVDD.So we had taken her to ACCESS on our way there we had told them that it was an emergency and we needed to check what was going on because our dog was bleeding nonstop from her private area and the person that I spoke to promised me that if we got there by 4 o’clock the ultrasound technician would be able to do her ultrasound. On our way there call us back and let us know that they can’t guarantee it but that we’re more than welcome to come and wait and see, please keep in mind that I just had to put my half paralyzed dog in the car and transport her all the way to this hospital which is nowhere near my house I was extremely upset and told them that I was promised and that I have been rushing over there due to the fact that I was extremely worried and that my veterinarian recommended that we rush her over there to see why she is bleeding .Once we arrive and get our dog checked in the ultrasound technician leaves one hour later during this hour they could have easily had her checked but they claimed that they had more urgent cases ahead of hours, we were there for nine hours. At the end of our nine hours they had informed us that they weren’t able to do the ultrasound and that they recommended that we come the following day in the morning at 10 AM to get it done right away. As angry as we were we of course came the next morning at 10 AM and they proceeded to once again have a stay there for nine hours. They finally got the ultrasound done one hour before we picked up our dog and the results were inconclusive. On top of that while she was in their care, They had left the diapers that we had put on her ( We had to put these diapers on because she was bleeding nonstop from her private area) They had left those diapers on her for the entire duration of her stay which can cause the UTI to worsen. Do NOT take your animals here, heartless.

I have postponed posting a review, but this is the straw that breaks the camel's back. It is one thing that Access is overpriced, non responsive and getting anything done is a struggle. It is another thing when they start threatening you with collections when THEY failed to provide services they were obligated to do . I am pretty sure there is a class action suit against Access, please someone, let me know because I'd be willing to join it. Thank you.

They refused to admit my dog as an emergency. Pooping blood apparently is not a medical emergency enough and routed me to another veterinary that was closed.

The Access team is amazing. I came in very stressed and worried about my pup and the team was so helpful and informative from the second I walked in. Everyone was friendly and you can tell they really care about every animal that comes in. It was a smooth process which helped to ease my anxiety. The vet explained everything to me and gave me different options but most importantly she made sure I understood what was happening with my dog. I am extremely thankful for the ACCESS team ❤️

Yesterday, I was very worried about my dog, a very special member of my family, looking for a place where he was treated because he felt bad.Because it was very late and there were many places full, I arrived at this hospital, which, thank God, was the best place. The care was quick, very sincere, and a warm place where the doctor who treated my dog and the people who help him made that moment. which is by the way very sad comfortable. If I can call it that, I am deeply grateful to the doctor who, by the way, didn't even have time to ask her name due to the moment and situation, my dog rest in peace thanks to the good treatment he received in the hospital, there are things that cannot be repaid for Love. What my pet received in the hospital only receives from my family, God bless this hospital and all the people who work in it.

If any place deserves a zero it's this one. My dog was misdiagnosed and mistreated to the tune of almost $8000. We took her out against medical advise and took her straight to another vet. They were able to correctly diagnose and heal my pup just in the nick of time I'd say. And they (mash) only had to charge me a couple hundred dollars. Watch out for these hacks!
