“This is the place to go if you like to express your individuality through unique materials, such as paper! Especially if you’re super tactile and love different textures because they’ve got it all, from textures to colors to shapes. I asked the owner, who has apparently been there for 60 years, and he mentioned that they do wedding invite papers as well as business cards. And if you love scrapbooking this is a hidden gem. They’ve got stuff from all over the world! I miss when places like these were the norm. Parking is usually found on the street, keep in mind the signs. Knock on the front door because they don’t keep it open. They accept cash, checks and Zelle but no credit cards.”
“I came in here on a whim on my way to blick as I’m starting a new series and was passing by, I was met by the kindest, most helpful older woman who turned out to be the owner. I drive by almost everyday but never stopped in. I’m so glad I did. They are well stocked and I found everything I needed. Will definitely be making this my first stop when I’m in search of art supplies! ❤️”

The wonderful folks at Blue Rooster spent literally 30 minutes helping me pick supplies, giving me tips on how to make things work best, and brainstorming how we could make it creative and enjoyable. I figured I knew what I wanted and assumed what was best, but after Adrian showed me some alternative options and listening to his advice, I ended up pivoting, changing my build for the better and ending up with a board I'm very proud of. Admittedly, I'm not local, but I do appreciate an independent owner and shop when I come across them. I can't speak highly enough about Adrian - this dude is super friendly, patient, and has a wealth of knowledge and experience. “I've had 2 prints framed here. The woman at the front desk was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The recent print I brought in I wasn't sure how to frame it and she helped talk me through several options on wood and matting. We landed on a beautiful bamboo frame that works so well with the print it seems to be made for it. The framing is beautifully done, I'm ecstatic with both pieces, thank you!”
