Don't even try to get a home loan from this bank. After 19 weeks and additional requests for documents, and additional requests for documents, and repeated requests for the same documents, they still hadn't approved our loan in spite of this being a small refi to borrowers with high credit scores and tons of assets and income. We finally went elsewhere and got a better rate.

I will NEVER do business with BMO again despite all the recent TV ads about how great they are. I opened two 1-year CDs with them and it nearly took an Act of Congress to get my money after they matured. In fact, it took over 3 weeks and many phone calls and email messages to get a check from them after my second CD matured. If I hadn't written a negative review on their Facebook page they would have continued to ignore me even longer. My advice: "proceed with great caution." Better yet, avoid them altogether.

I’m very disappointed with the service of BMO. They didn’t know how to open an account. I spent 3 hours in there and they wanted to give me a cashier check and leave because 3 people couldn’t figure out how to open an account. They told me I will get a higher interest rate that’s why actually I was interested to open the account, when finally after spending 3 hours they achieved to open the account gave me a lower interest rate. I don’t trust this bank I will move it to a well known safer Bank. Such a bad customer service in Culver City. . . No ones answered the phone. They ignored you if by chance they answer they seem forced to talk they sound annoyed. I left several messages for Gary the brunch manager he never returned my phone calls.

This is the worst bank on earth. Do NOT open any account with BMO. They locked up my account shortly after I opened it. Then they refused to take my numerous calls to unlock my account. Today is day 12 and my account is still locked up. What a big SCAM!

Redondo Beach Branch has HORRIFIC customer service!! Will be closing my account very soon. I really miss Bank of the West that BMO bought out.

In addition..... called BMO again to rectify the double payment. Once again the service agent said she could issue me a Check which will be held for 7days BEFORE IT IS MAILED to refund the payment they withdrew without my consent. I asked to speak to a manager because this was all handled electronically and should be returned the same way. Not only is it more convenient for the customer it is also safer. No go! Manager said he apologized for the inconvenience but that's how it's done. Not an ounce of sincerity in that comment. This is my first dealings with BMO and when I can refinance this loan it will be my last dealings with BMO! Don't use this bank. They, like most financial institutions, don't care that they leave you high and dry on their screw up.

Horrible customer! Blaming me for their mistakes! On hold waiting for a rep in the US to come on the line for 1/2 hour! US rep put me on hold again while she checked! They also added a late charge from a year ago that was the result of their error. I've been on hold for 52 minutes already and still, no one coming back on the line! Be warned! Do not do business with this bank! JeffG

A most useless bank. I went to cash my paycheck and they did not want to cash it unless I had an equal or grater balance in my account. I decided to close my account. Prior to that, they were placing my mobile deposits on hold for more than 5 days.

Yesterday I've started the application to open an account with Bank of the West but didn't complete it, I wasn't sure I wanted to open an account with them. so I stopped fillig out the aplication in the middle of it. Bank of the West submitted my application and processed my personal information without my consent, that's against the law. Bank of The West can't be trusted. This was an online transaction, so it wasn't at this branch. This is a general complaint about this bank.

This bank is for the birds. They dont accept third party checks, wont accept checks made out to me at their ATM, did it to me THREE times. Short hours. The manager Vanessa is a total snob and lied to me and my son about a few things. Plus no matter how many places I try to use my debit card with the correct pin number, it is NEVER accepted! Can never get thru during their business hours by phone, and if you call the main bank number it's hours of waiting and then they cut you off! Plus they arent FDIC insured. Few branches close to me. Moving to a bigger bank Very SOON! Never again!

I am regular customer at this branch with four accounts. The customer service here over the years has been very good. I have seen a number of the extremely harsh reviews here and I have not had the same experience at this branch. Vanessa Ramirez, in particular, and all of the supporting staff have been very helpful upon each visit and specific inquiry.

BOW cashed a payroll check that was NINE AND ONE HALF YEARS OLD, for $558.90 ! The check was signed by an authorized signer, who was terminated in 2012. I am a 20 year business customer being ruined by covid. Instead of calling me first to confirm the criminal backstory on the employee, they cashed it. I know they missed seeing the date and covered themselves by telling me it's their discretion to cash any age check they wish to. Ok, I don't agree with their policy. Not cool.

I stoped at bank of the west in culbe city to deposit some cash to my account, right at the entrance there was a bank of the west ATM I assumed that the ATM was working properly I deposited $460 in cash then the ATM gave me a receipt saying sorry we couldn't complete your transaction but yet took the money $460.00 I reported to the manager "Melissa, than she told me it would take 10 business day to fix the problem I told her I need the money she said there is nothing she can do about it.Meanwhile at the background I also so one of the tellers at the bank laughing about my a situation like if it was a jock. I needed it the money to avoid being late in a payment and avoid over changes on my payment accounts I sow how she just laugh about my situation I felt disrespected as a customer that trust the bank.So I defenetly don't recommend this bank I think Wells Fargo is way better than this bank way better.
