The first time we went in the employees really did not pay any attention to us. This was around the same time that many of the negative reviews were written. We went back again as we were hoping to find something specific and they were very helpful this time! The store has a strange layout and sometimes feels like it has too many shoppers for how it’s currently arranged. The jewelry is difficult to view with the current set up because of the level of many of the shelves (they are awkwardly away from eye level) and the lighting/small typeface that they use for the names of the designers. There are a few design issues that make shopping here less pleasant than it could be but considering how busy they were we did think the staff did a great job!

I know they opened a few months ago and I think they may have gotten more streamlined since the other comments here were written because I had a great experience looking at engagement rings and wedding bands there. The staff that helped me were very attentive, patient, and knowledgeable about their products, and showed me some items I wouldn’t have looked at that I ended up liking way better than what I thought I wanted. Their stuff is definitely more unique than a big name jeweler, however it’s not customizable like those big ones are. But overall, this is the kinda place I was looking for and I had a great experience there.

SAVE YOUR MONEY. Do not support this company. The quality of their products are cheap and they are overpriced! Made a mistake and purchased at their store and reached out to customer care since I was given the WRONG return policy information by the salesgirl. After 4 emails to the corporate offices they responded and basically said too bad we cannot help you. If you shop online and in the stores there is a different policy and they will NOT make an exception for any changes. They are only interested in the dollar signs. I would suggest you save your money and shop elsewhere for jewelry. Not worth your money to give business to this company. There is a reason all of the reviews are negative...

The staff here is very "New Yorker visits LA." condescending, uppity, don't engage with you until you're right in their face begging to be rung up. i had to walk around in circles making desperate eye contact to get someone to check me out — and the store is only like 10 square feet. some of the employees seemed like they weren't sure what was going on, what was in stock or what wasn't. just seems unorganized and not warm or inviting or helpful at all. save your time and order online.

Lovely store and very kind staff. They seemed quite excited about everything they sell. I had my toddler with me and he was being noisy and the staff were very sweet about it and still welcoming. I'm obsessed with the Laurie Fleming collection.

Ordered my engagement ring on June 4th following their online sizing, but still allowing plenty of time for resizing prior to our destination wedding. Ring arrived after 2.5 weeks and needed to be resized; no big deal other than the somewhat slow 3-4 week turnaround time which is their advertised standard. The ring came back after 6 weeks (2nd week of August), but that's not the worst part: they had literally done NOTHING. The ring came back the same size! Even though there were 3-4 weeks prior to our departure, there were not 6-8 weeks as I then expected with their previous service and turnarounds, so I opted to get it resized upon return (20 day vacation). Sent it to them upon return, and I'm still waiting for the ring, as they didn't do ANYTHING above and beyond to remedy this situation; e.g. expediting the resize, expediting shipping, etc. When I asked them for an update (because expecting them to communicate without prompt is a pipe dream), they told me that they're in week 3 of their 3-4 week resize window, which they already told me to expect. NO KIDDING! I don't need you to tell me that, I can look at a calendar!Ring is now arriving during the Thanksgiving holiday, which we won't be around for, so tack on another week to this process. If they had expedited shipping we could be done with this process and this company for good, and I don't think that's too much to ask given the timeline and poor service we've received.

Not a fun experience trying to buy myself something nice before the holidays go into full effect. Employees are very condescending and are too busy chit chatting with each other and trying on jewelry to give you any service. On top of it all once you do get half effort service come to find out they don’t engrave on site. You are better off buying it from the website since the person checking me out took over 15 minutes to do the transaction - it would have been quicker for me to just do it on my computer.Spent over an hour here for something I could have done at home in 10 minutes. Do better Catbird - never been to any NY location but this wasn’t it.

Love catbird.... A little too much.Going in person allows you to style the pieces and the front desk is very helpful in advising. I love that the pieces has the price on them so I know what I'm getting myself into before falling in love. They have a good selection from affordable solid gold to much pricier stones and diamonds. Also you can get a perm want bracelet here.

Not the best shopping experience. Staff seems inexperienced and the store per se feels like a warehouse - really not the OG NYC Catbird vibe. They did LA dirty with this one.

I was so excited that Catbird would now be in LA. I've been a fan and have ordered items online. I recently snapped my bracelet and called today to see if they did repairs in store. I spoke to an employee who was helpful and said that I should come in because they would need to take a look to see what can be done. I let her know that I'm not local to the area which is why I'm calling first. She said to come and they can see what they can do. She mentioned something about a 2 year warranty and said that they can check their system to see if my purchase is still under warranty. I told her I can check my email as well but she insisted that I should just come to see what they can do. When I arrived, it took less than 5 minutes for their manager to let me know that they could not repair my bracelet but they can offer me 25% off to purchase a new one. That's when I realized that she had me come in as some sort of sales ploy . Jewelry isn't disposable or easily replaceable. It didn't make sense to me that they would suggest a replacement so frivolously. I knew I could have taken my bracelet to just a regular jewelry store to get fixed but I thought that the store I got my item from would be the best place to go for a repair especially since they specialize in being "zapped". I was willing to pay as well. But, all that could have been communicated to me over the phone instead of having me drive from Burbank on a Sunday night.

Did not have the best experience visiting this location. Does not feel like the same store I know and love from Brooklyn. Staff is young and unprofessional - waited over 40 minutes to get my bracelet when I already had an appointment. They do not validate parking even though you might spend an hour or two in there. Not worth it, will continue to only buy online.

So excited to have a Catbird in Los Angeles! Went in today to ick out a ring and had a great experience. Wonderful customer service in a lime green jewel box! Can't wait to return and purchase more beautiful jewelry!

Catbird is in Culver City!!! The store vibes is def very different from the east coast stores but overall they had a huge selection of their well know welded bracelets, their ring series and lots of necklaces and regular bracelet. They also have their engagement ring series here as well. The store has two welding seats so you can bring your friends to get the forever bracelet! The items can be pricey for a nicer ring it will cost about $150 to $300 but I have had their forever bracelet for over two years and they are still on and have not tarnished.

Booked an appointment and stood in line then found out after a while we had to check in, Pay, then get back into the line…from another customer not the staff.Asked the staff about the process, they confirmed we needed to check in then proceeded to walk away instead of checking us in. We spent a small fortune and while waiting in line were told by another customer that we should ask for a gift bag they got cause they saw we didn’t get one and felt bad… I really don’t know if it was subtle racism or just arrogance.

The booking process for getting zapped is a total sham. They prioritize whoever shows up first regardless of whether you’re a walk in or apt. I checked in for my apt and the process took a while - then I was told I would be seen in another 30 min. So basically my 6pm apt wouldn’t get me on the chair until at least 6:45. After waiting they said it could be even longer. I also don’t understand how the apts take over 30 min. Did this at their pop up and it was super fast and a fun experience. Been shopping at catbird since the Brooklyn days in 2013ish and I’m really off put by the service and lack of knowledge by the ladies at this location…it’s a bummer.
