DO NOT take Maya's class. She used to teach at the USC location and many people were upset with her explicit music playlist choice during sculpt. She then tried to bully the people who complained to management. Not professional. Not respectful or good at yoga and very immature. And you think people who practice yoga would have a modicum of decency.

Great studio in an excellent location with good parking. Locker rooms are good too and aren't single occupant bathrooms like BH or MDR which I appreciate. Great teachers with great music. Good vibes all around, my home studio!

Fun, upbeat classes and instructors! CorePower has helped me with improving my strength and flexibility. One of my favorite classes at this location is sculpt with Stephanie T, she has the best energy and sequences!

This is the Mc Donalds of yoga except mc donalds does a lot better job!!! I'm not talking about other locations I'm talking about culver city core power yoga. Their best classes are flow then sculpt and the worst is hot power fusion. The problem with this place is the teacher are not teaching they just recite what you need to do. They don't help you with technique. They don't adjust, they don't tell you if you're doing anything wrong and many of the teachers have bad technique. But, the class I'm most dissapointment with is hot power fusion. I've gone to this class twice and the teachers don't know bikram yoga which this is based off. Their technique are horrible and the girl in class today was so slow she had to remember the order of what excercise comes next that is was pathetic. Someone is going to really hurt themselves in HPF class. Your suppose to do the postures for one minute and then 30 seconds but that isn't even done. The first time I took this class months ago in santa monica it was excellent the room was 100-115 . Instructors technique was great and it was pretty much bikram minus some abrevations. This class not at alll. Half the class you should be on the floor the other half standing. But, even if this wasn't bikram it was a lame workout and people are going to get hurt for lack of techical experience from the teachers and the order in which the excercise were presented. Outside in the hall I was talking to other students about it and they agreed culver city core sucks!! Core brentwood for flow was good way better than culver city as well. Nothing is really good here instructor wise. Hopefully some day they will do HPF correctly. Also the class space is so super small and so super pact that it doesn't make for a great environment for yoga. Highly recommend strech or fire yoga for bikram yoga / hot yoga and highly recommend smaller studios for technique or brentwood for flow.

Decent sequences but terrible welcome for new students. Despite arriving early it took quite a bit of time to check in - there was only one employee behind the desk who was busy talking to regulars and didn't make any effort to attend to all students. All teachers have favorites and regulars are often held in that regard but as a new student to a studio you do expect to be given just a *little* TLC. There was none - I eventually walked into a crowded studio where I was forced to place my mat right next to the door so I could feel the cold air blasting in despite it being a hot yoga class....Other instructors I've had in the past handle the issue deftly, reminding students yoga is a community and to make space for all. Given the high cost of the class coupled with the high cost to rent equipment ($4 for a worn mat), you would think the studio and instructors would strive to create an enjoyable experience for all students. Needless to say - this yoga studio is NOT worth your time. Veda yoga across the street is a great option in the culver neighborhood and provides for a truly enjoyable yoga experience.

I waited until I visited a few times before leaving my review because my initial experience wasn't the best. A friend of mine was in town and recommended we visit corepower as she's visited other corepower locations in the past. I paid the initial class fee is $32 for the C2 class. After class, my friend inquired about the free week they offered for new customers (me). The instructor signed me up for it but accidentally charged me the price of it as well ($189). She mentioned that she was new and it was a mistake and that she's refunded me. The charge ended up posting to my account so I had to call customer service in order to receive the refund. Since then, I've visited twice and have had pleasant experiences and will continue to return. I will say although I haven't been to other corepower locations , this one is relatively small and the classes fill up really fast.

I have been going to different t CorePower Yoga studios over the last 10 years and I think that the instructors and cleanliness of the Culver location are pretty on par with other locations. I like CorePower locations because there really is no judgement from anyone in the class, the instructors don't adjust/touch me, and the music helps me going. Sometimes I feel crummy before heading to class and when I leave, I feel energized (but with wobbly legs and sore torso). I've been to classes led by Ren and Kayla, and I like them both as instructors. Parking is validated in the Culver One underground parking lot. I hope that there is more traction for this studio so that more classes will get added. On weekends, there are only 4 classes to choose from and I wish there were more in the early afternoon/mid-day.

Before you join this Corepower Yoga, I suggest you go do their free Tuesday night Yoga class at 7pm at the Culver Steps across from the farmers market (not to be confused with the Stairs.) @DTCulverCity on Instagram has more information on how to take the free class.I have enjoyed most of the Tuesday nights there. Talia and another female instructor are very knowledgeable and use trauma informed/inclusive language. They set the tone with intentions and encourage modifications.Last night, Ryan was the instructor and let’s just say… I did not vibe with his style. It was a very colonized and “no pain no gain” workout hidden under the disguise of a yoga session. He allowed no space for traditional practices, gave wrong directions (multiple times), minimized the space by telling jokes, did not ask anyone for consent when touching them for corrections, did not turn his mic off when correcting, there was no use of trauma informed language, very little encouragement for modifications except during bridge pose when more experienced practitioners did “wheel” and he said “That opens up your heart to a lot of emotions, but do it if you want…” - After that, he made a 2 second comment on how important chavasana is, but we were going to do it quickly for the sake of time. Then he said “I’ll give you the length of this song” and then… did not. Finally, he gaslit everyone at the end by pretending to not know Fleetwood Mac sang Landslide. There was no room for connecting with the inner self because Ryan literally talked the ENTIRE time. It was not a “sundown” experience.I suggest calling to see who is going to be teaching on Tuesday Nights and maybe Ryan is your jam and the kind of workout experience you want. But if you want/need something challenging, inclusive, trauma informed, and mind-body focused, engage with one of the other instructors.

Why is there no Core Power 1 or 1.5 classes here. It's all Sculpt and 2?

I've only taken their rooftop classes and have been to 3, but it's such a great idea! The same lady teaches them and she is nice and has great energy! There is also a person, usually a man every time I have gone, who does all the poses so you have someone to watch while the lady walks around shouting positive encouragement. :) The fake candles are a nice touch and being outdoors makes me feel safe.

My first experience is the welcome at the front desk, was very friendly and provided the introduction on the facilities. The yoga class was very good and intense, the room temperature was a bit hot for me but it good to have some sweat. Overall the experience is excellent.
