CREDIT UNION FOR THE INDUSTRY If you work in the entertainment business, this credit union can be handy. I used to go to the branch in Museum Square, but unfortunately, that was closed ages ago. Now, I occasionally make the trek to Culver City where it is easy to find street parking. There always seems to be a line of people here no matter what time I come, but they do have lots of free snacks and water. I could never access my account online, but that was finally straightened out over the phone. Out of curiosity, I asked if they had any promo rates for CDs. When the male employee mentioned they were offering 5%+ interest, I was excited. I hate doing any significant banking online, so I drove over to open a CD in person. Even though there was a couple waiting, one of the female employees took care of me immediately. The whole process took less than 10 minutes. I give them credit for a smooth transaction.

Worst place to get a car loan. I've had to contact First Ent 4 out of 5 payments. You pay, it doesn't not automatically go towards your monthly payment. I had to call to have them fix that. The last problem... setting up the payments weeks in advance and it still hasn't gone though. Now it shows a late payment. It was never late. I'm horrified at what this bank is willing to do to repossess your car. As if they aren't making enough off their customers; they are clearly trying to set people up to miss payments. This bank cannot be trusted. I wonder how many cars they repossessed that likely had the payment made but the borrower didn't notice that their payment didn't apply to the monthly bill. Get a loan here at your own risk.

I have been an FECU member since 1999. Unfortunately, since the pandemic and even yesterday the Culver City location seems to suffer from multiple issues. True they offer snacks and chips, but that did not help yesterday when I went there to get a new debit card because my account got hacked again through Facebook probably or the internet for like the 8th time with this FECU debit card. In the past, they have been quick to replace the debit card. However yesterday was not a good day for me, I took my mom out of the senior center who is handicapped. I drove all the way across the 10 freeway and the 405 in traffic. Finally when I arrive to the Culver City location, I get greeted by a lady with an iPad. Sadly, she informs me that the debit card machine is broken not just at her branch but at all branches altogether. Now numbers put yourself in my shoes You just heard what I said I've driven all the way across traffic only to be told bad news. I also overheard another member in the office yelling that his $5,000 were missing and what they were going to do about it? I immediately thought this bank unfortunately has a lot of red flags at the moment. I then decided to tell the girl to please close the account but I decided you know what keep at least a dollar in the account because they do offer good things like low interest rates when you want to buy a car. In essence yesterday was on a good day I have made a new appointment for tomorrow hopefully that debit card machine is up and running and I don't find myself driving all the way over there to be told again that the debit card machine is broken. This is my story :-) To further add, Bank of America when there is fraud activity they are quick to inform you and they are readily available much more than a credit union such as FECU again this is just my point of view everyone has their story. Finally, I do like working with First entertainment credit Union when it comes to getting auto loans, and home equity line of credits. The rates are very reasonable compared to other banks and for that purpose I will forever be a member of first entertainment credit Union. Stay safe ? ❤️

1. They are really slow. 2. The office is clean and new. 3. The staff works really, really slowly. 4. Everyone is nice but with Stepford vibes. I'm pretty sure they all hate us. 5. Everything they do takes a really long time. 6. The food at the cafe next door looks really good. 7. I can't figure out why they are so slow because they're moving their arms and hands like normal and it looks like something is happening but not a damn thing is happening except for the gray hairs growing on my head and the wrinkles forming on my face as I wait there for an eternity for someone to help me or even notice me (and I had an appointment!).

I am not a customer with this bank but I did a job for a nice couple that wrote me a check from this bank. I brought my ID And check into the bank and they first told me I could only get $500 in cash max and the rest would have to be a cashiers check. What's the point of going to a bank to cash a check, only to receive yet another check? Secondly they wouldn't even cash my check bc they couldn't get in touch with my customer to verify. I get fraud these days is heightened but what's the point of taking a check then?! What a waste of time, and clearly a bank I do not want to do business with

Patty, Jessica, and, I cant remember her name, but she greets you when you walk in, are amazing. They were very helpful and did their best to make obtaining a loan smooth and friendly. So thank you ladies for all you do. Awesome job ?

I joined FECU in 1999 and it used to be such a great place to bank and I recommended it to everyone. But they've shut down so many branches and the ones you go to are so understaffed it's become a huge pain to do the simplest banking tasks. I cannot recommend them any longer and am looking for a new place to do my banking.

I'm so disappointed with my overall experience with First Entertainment credit union. The company brands themselves on caring about "OUR STORY." Yet that couldn't be further from the truth. The loan officer, Nic Hernandez, who unfortunately for me, answered my call, was uncommunicative, unsupported, and didn't care about my situation or had my best interest at heart. The branch manager at Culver City Felipe Aleman, and his associate assured me my signed papers would get to the loan officer through in-house delivery and yet somehow they lost/misplaced the documents. To make matters worse, at the 11th hour when I had to reach out to Nic, without a care for me, he stated the loan would not be able to get done. I couldn't have felt worse about my decision to take a loan with this credit union.I was able to get a hold of a supervisor named Yurina, who just gave me excuse after excuse and all this nonsense of "we're going to make exceptions," yadda yadda yadda. She has not even followed up with me today to inform me of anything.Nic Hernandez is incompetent at his role as a loan officer dealing with clients. He should receive more training. Felipe and Yurina, even worse because they are already at the managerial level. I will never refer this bank to anyone or keep any of my money there.

Whenever I come here I know I'm completely taken care of. I came today because I felt that I was getting scammed by a potential employer. Long story short Violeta handled it with precise measures. I haven't a clue why I waited to come here just 2 years ago. Thanks V

I went in today to open 4 new accounts for my kids and the teller there had a bad attitude did not greet my wife after my. wife greeted him, said for all 4 you know it will take up to an hour....like really, just do your job did not ask for a timeline. Them proceeded to tell me they needed to run my credit since I needed to open an account with them with this attitude like if he assumed I had bad credit. Just a bad experience overall and took my business to another Credit Union that were a lot nicer and helpful. Companies need to put the right people with the right attitude when it comes to customer service and I am glad I did not open any accounts with them.

Service was so bad...How bad was it?They make the DMV look like Disneyland in comparison. They could get schooled by the post office. I seriously thought it might be a prank show or that maybe they were secretly trying to alert me to the fact they were getting robbed or something. But, no! It was just a normal day for them. And this is NOT the first time.

I was turned to FECU by my union. I was ecstatic to be joining a credit union that understood my fluctuating income that comes with being a freelance employee. Getting a low interest union initiation loan was a breeze. Over my years as becoming a member it seems more and more difficult to get new accounts and loans going. I also have a business account with them and unfortunately have had to outsource all my business loans because either the approval turnaround takes forever and/or I am just not approved for the funds. I understand this isn't a big bank but it's a huge turnoff not being able to get full immediate help on business accounts/ credit cards after hours like other establishments.
