I stopped in last night and found everything that I needed. It was refreshing to see their huge selection and be able to pick out my dogs and cats favorite items. I met a team member named Maya who kept an eye on me and helped me out with a few things. She was so friendly and caring! We were talking about the products during check out and I definitely noticed her outgoing and warm personality. Also, I had a wonderful coupon to use and many thanks for that! I will be returning to this local store to take care of my pet tribe. BYE-AMY

I've been there about 6 times now. I like that they have pet food at every price point, and their customer service is excellent. It's cool they have a self wash for dogs, will definitely try it. Their prices are higher than on-line, but they have good sales and ask about coupons. They have a good breadth of peripheral pet supplies. Some things excellent selection, like toys and treats. Others, like harnesses, all the sizes, but not necessarily the brand or type I prefer. Still, there is enough to fit the bill on a functional basis. Not crazy that they sell hamsters and guinea pigs when there are so many in the shelters. Would be great if they could host adoption events for the little mammals, in additional to cats and dogs. Overall, a 4.5, but rounding up.

Had a good experience with Billy who was working the register and when something I usually get there was out, he took my info and called me back with details on when certain item would be back in stock. I appreciate that kind of customer service, it means a lot

Great clean store compare to petco on sepulveda. Customer service in dog grooming is great with Christi. She answer all my questions and concerns. She is great and her experience and care reassure your pet is in good hands. Diana the supervisor/manager was helpful finding right food and dog training stuff for my puppy..also it's great seeing the owner as well working with his employees and helping customers

In the business's reply to my review, they seemed to be unaware of my complaint. They are very much aware and although I was promised many times that the owner and store manager were going to call me to discuss the issue, they never ever did. That doesn't indicate that you are concerned about my review or what my pup went through while getting groomed there.... I've attached more photos of the choppy cut he received. His fur is still extremely uneven and very blunt in some areas and jagged in others.

BE WARE - THIS STORE TEMPTED TO STEAL $140 FROM ME. INSTEAD OF REFUNDING A $70 CHARGE THEY CHARGED ME $70 2 TIMES AND REFUSED TO FIX THE ISSUE - I HAD TO REPORT THEIR FRAUD THROUGH MY CREDIT CARD TO GET A REFUND... I went to Pet Supplies to have my two dogs washed. My little pug was a self wash but the groomer was going to clip her nails, my doodle mutt was going to be groomed by the groomer. I called when they opened and the woman who picked up said it should be no problem. When I arrived an hour later the manager Fadi said she had gone home sick. When I expressed my disappointment that I was not called and inform of this change he repeatedly told me, "I don't understand the issue, she had to go home sick." There was no message on their machine to this affect and I was stuck. I had to give them a self wash at the store as I was in a bind, and Fabi insisted that I clearly didn't understand and it was not his fault that I had a bad experience. The self wash was horrible. They did not have the basic supplies, like scrub brushes or cotton balls for their ears. The staff was quite pleasant but the manager had no ability to take ownership of their mistake. I highly recommend going to any other pet store. There are many to choose from in town. Adopt & Shop is an amazing alternative and close by. Un

I went there for the first time today. I took my dog for a nail trim and the most wonderful groomer Cristie took care of him. She had such a warm touch with my anxious, senior rescue min pin. She talked to him the whole time and really made such an effort to offer him comfort. I walked around the store and they had lots of brands of dog food, including some of the freeze dried ones we use for treats at competitive prices. I made another appointment with Cristie and I think I'll cancel our Chewy food subscription and just come here in the future.

Diana was an amazing help today, she went above and beyond as a supervisor there! She really helped me with my options for flea medication and was so sweet. This is exactly what pet stores need, people who want to help. Thank you Diana!

THE GOOD:The staff:All the staff and supervisors I’ve encountered have been very helpful and in a great mood. Having worked both in retail and customer service I truly appreciate that. The location:The location is excellent although parking can get a bit nuts because of all the other places in the area - especially the gym.The items sold:Fantastic. The prices:Generally pretty good. Sometimes PetSmart or Petco will have them beat, but they have a sign that says they price match.THE BADPhone:I called a few times and the phone rang off the hook.I also heard the phone ring in the store without being answered. The return policy:If you are going to make a return to any Pet Supplies Plus, understand that their policy is not company wide. This Culver City location is franchised and thus does not have the same policies as the corporate company nor other franchise locations. At this location, you can return unopened items or resealable items with a receipt (not sure on the timeframe- 30 days?)You may not return opened cans or pouches of food that your pet didn’t eat or like.…I understand that allowing returns is a privilege, not a requirement, and I respect that it’s always at the manager/owners discretion, BUT this is where other pet stores have this location beat.PetSmart, Petco, Chewy, and even other Pet Supplies Plus locations allow your pet try any food item and if they don’t eat it or taste it and don’t like it, you can return or exchange it.The mixup:During a prior visit to this Culver City Pet Supplies Plus location, I asked whether I could return opened cans and pouches of food my cat didn’t eat, and the girls at the front (one was training the other on the POS) asked someone (I assume a supervisor) and then he asked someone above him (I presumed a manager or owner). I was informed that it was okay as long as I had a receipt. I went home, grabbed the few items and exchanged them for some others. Then tonight, when I tried to return one opened pouch of cat food, the supervisor at checkout said that to her knowledge, their franchise location only allows returns of resealable containers because they can be donated. (side note: major props to the business owner for donating food!! I love that.) However, as I had been told differently not only at other locations (such as in Illinois), but at this very location on a previous visit, she extended a courtesy and allowed me to return my single opened pouch of food. She also said she would speak to the owner and then call me and let me know for the future. (Side note: This supervisor had excellent customer service skills and I am truly grateful that she went above and beyond to make sure she found out for me and for anyone else- since it is especially confusing that other locations have different return policies).Well, she called me tonight and let me know the bad news. She was correct; the owner will not accept returns for opened cans or pouches. For me, being able to return foods that my cat won’t eat is essential because she is ill. She was recently diagnosed with CKD. Thus, her kidneys can’t filter properly causing a backup of toxins resulting in her being nauseous and developing food aversions.Essentially, due her illness, her tastes change on the flip of a dime.As such, I am spending more money than any pet parent should. Since I can’t buy in bulk-because I never know when she’s going to stop liking something- I buy a ton of single items, various brands and flavors of cans and pouches, to find something that she will eat.I regret that due to this location’s return policy, I can’t continue to experiment with any new cat food.Nonetheless, this store is conveniently located close to my family, has excellent products, and a price match policy. I will therefore continue to buy some items here- that I can’t find elsewhere- but most of my business will go to Petco, PetSmart, or Chewy because I don’t have to worry that I’m wasting money on food my cat may not like.

I’ve come here quite a lot since it’s opened and don’t get me wrong I like this place. I want you to know this review is just for the self-wash. I went to use the self serve dog wash and so I bought Pet Supplies Plus’s little “Selfie Wash Kit” and then paid $18 for a wash. They told me go to station 1 but when I got there it had dog hair all over it. So I cleaned it out myself. Then when I start washing my dog the water doesn’t drain, so my dog is standing in a foot of water. I tell the dude there and he says “oh I’m sorry use the other one”. I go to the other one and it’s FULL of hair. So I ended up just doing it in the one that didn’t drain. I cannot believe that the manager on shift didn’t come say anything. I won’t come back after all that.

This location is very clean and the staff is always helpful. All the products I ever need are in stock and they have a great rewards program.
