Kyle at Safeway did an awesome job on some vintage metal screen frames for me. It was a time-consuming tricky job. Took a while, but price and quality of work was great, and Kyle even dropped the screens off at the re-screening store for me. Would definitely recommend and will use again. Just know the turnaround is not super fast depending on their workload.

Kyle - Owner of Safeway Sandblastng refinished to 'like new' condition a large 90+ year old wrought Iron window safety gate that had not been painted going on 40 years. Kyle even delivered it to my Sant Monica home.- for free!!! Who does that in this day & age - a gentleman like Kyle, decent, honest & kind. Thank you for a job well done!

3 days before xmas I brought a few pieces of outdoor metal furniture in to be sandblasted and powder coated. I needed a very quick turnaround and they came through for me. Super cool people, seems to be a family run operation and accommodating. Its not everyday I need this kind of service but when I do in the future I will return. Highly recommend!

I'm so glad I found this place. They were able to powder coat a heater cover and vent for me. The piece I brought was covered in layers of house paint. Because the pieces were too fragile for sandblasting, they took my piece to the OC for a chemical bath. I got both pieces back for an amazing price. I honestly expected to pay double what they quoted. My only "complaint" is that their communication is not great. You'll have to be comfortable with a "handshake" deal. They did not issue me any sort of receipt when they took my items and it took me several emails to get them to acknowledge that they had them. They also could not give me an estimate of when my pieces would be complete as their truck needed to be fixed and then someone needed to go to OC and then they needed to finish a large project they were working on before they could get to me. I couldn't get any sort of timetable. Ultimately, the project took approximately 3 weeks (very much within my needs), the end result is beautiful and it was well worth the price. Give this place a chance but understand that you'll need to be patient with the process. Thank you, Safeway Sandblaster!

Their customer service is the worst, I went there today, to drop off a part to be blasted and powered coating. I got there and their gates were closed so, I called and the woman answered, I asked her are you not open today? She said we are but we only see people by appointment. I said I drove over here from Santa Monica, I have only one part, can't you make an exception. She said no sorry, I asked can I get a appointment? She replied were all booked up. I was so mad I said i will never use you guys again. I went down the street to Kartek, they charge more, but they were close friendly and welcoming, I've used Safeway for all my blasting and powdercoating needs and sent many people to them, but as of today I will never use or recommend them again. Safeway stick to your ridgid appointment only policy and send clients away. Hear that? that's the sound of your business dying.

Can't speak to the quality of their work but the customer support (or lack thereof) made me look somewhere else. I wanted to use this company based off their seemingly good reviews. I sent an email over the weekend and called Monday to find availability. "We check emails from the weekend and will get back to them hopefully today or tomorrow" "Ok, well I just need to find availability as this is a time sensitive issue" "We check emails over the weekend and will get back to them today or tomorrow" Why even answer the phone if you can't provide a fairly simple answer?

WOW! Brought in a vintage frame to a bicycle that I'm restoring. I was just going to have it sandblasted and paint it myself, but decided to have Safeway powdercoat it as well. Boy am I glad I went that route! I'm a pretty good painter, but there's no way I could have matched Safeway's quality. Super happy with the work, and the cost was totally reasonable. Can't wait to find other projects to bring in!

Safeway Sandblaster is what I recommend to anyone that needs any blasting/painting work done. Last year around this time but closer to Christmas I decided to get a pair of moto rims stripped and painted. Said they would be done after the new year and that made perfect sense. They called me on Dec 28th both rims done for around 150$. No missed spots, perfect consistency all around the rim.Recently moved out to the valley and will still be driving back down to Safeway Sandblaster again if I ever need more work done.
