An award-winning educator who understands child development and celebrates every child as an individual. The families, the sense of connection, the joy, it’s all incredible. I even switched my older child here after two years at another preschool because I fell in love when my younger started attending. And the cost is so reasonable, both kids together cost less than one at many other schools. I couldn’t recommend La Playa more!”

The school operates under the leadership of Aly who is thoughtful, caring and engaging with the kids. All the teachers are well educated and trained. “Reviewing the Mandarin dual language immersion program: the school and strong parent community have been amazing. The program is organized so that kids learn half the time in English, and half the time in Chinese. This is "double-learning" -- they go through a full elementary school program in both languages. The school also responded amazingly well to the pandemic, with teachers taking the initiative to send daily recorded lessons without skipping a bit before LAUSD even figured out what to do, then nearly a full year of Zoom, and now in-person learning with weekly testing. Kids are happy and learn lots. Can't recommend enough!”

“I'm grateful I found this place and my kids had a great two years here. Their facilities are very big, clean and bright. 18 months to 2.5 year olds are in one area and older ones are in a different one. All teachers and staffs are very nice and caring. They truly love the kids. They've been so patient and supportive. They provide morning and afternoon snacks which are all organic and healthy food. They also pay close attention to kids allergic situation. The price is very reasonable.”
