I went to buy paint and he lied to me saying it needed primer and in reality it was just paint and the primer was already included. The two guys who are selling, please don't be liars, this time it was a very bad experience.

The good reviews led me to trust the smooth operators here, and I didn't realize until too late that this store has zero problem lying to your face to grab your money and sell you an inferior product at triple market price. I hope this helps others avoid the same. Do NOT trust these guys.Went in to get Armorseal 1000HS, a high solids solvent based commercial epoxy product. Got talked into buying 2gal of Armorseal 8100, was told it was an EQUIVALENT commercial-grade product but CA compliant for solvents. That sounds like it could be true! So ask a couple questions and get really positive responses from a guy that SEEMS to know their stuff, take them at their word after hearing it's appropriate for the use case.Get home, start looking through and see it's spread rate AND # of required coats is different. I am not happy to discover this, and go in. Now talk to a different guy, he ASSURES me this is commercial grade stuff appropriate for the use case, and a big step up from the epoxy big box DIY stores sell. I'm thinking of eating cost and buying elsewhere. But he is a GREAT salesman (wish I was as great at it) - I stupidly walk out with another 3 gal to get to the film thickness, spread and three coats (instead of two) needed.Call my painter/epoxy guy and he is dying of laughter. Tells me I just paid $235 / gal for stuff that's at DIY stores for 140F.Real industrial epoxy does cost more, and that's what I thought I was paying for. Guess what, I got tinted so I'm eating the materials cost, no returns. Do not be stupid like me and trust a single thing these guys say. I have worked with Sherwin Williams main competitor directly and indirectly for years, and I have NEVER been outright lied to by multiple employees and fooled in this way. Good job, you got my money on this, but I'll be sure to let everyone I can know of how you choose to operate.I thought the hard part of putting this coating was going to be the concrete prep, not the store sale. There is salesmanship and there is lying, and you ought to figure out the difference.

Great service. Matched my original stucco color perfectly. We have used SW paint before and I'm really happy with the longevity. Especially the exterior trim surfaces that get the sun and rain. Very happy with the outcome!

Outstanding service from Michael. He was able to match our exterior stucco color perfectly. Our past experience on the exterior paint has been great (lasted for years) so we wanted to continue with Sherwin Williams. Fantastic customer service. Highly recommend Culver City store!

July 27th 2022, entered the store to purchase tube of acrylic latex caulking. Located a tube of DAP All purpose acrylic latex caulk plus silicone 40 years 10.1 fluid oz tube. No manufacturer date or best used by date noted on any of the tubes. Spoke with one of the employees who insured me that the product was good and that they sell pallets of this product every month, thus a high turnover. Well, that sounds good, but I rather not take his word for it so I left the store. I don't necessarily want somebody's word, I want proof. It's not too much of a reach to expect a date on the tube. Purchased this exact same item at a nearby Home Depot with the following manufacturing date noted as July 1st 2022 or 822182 (8 is the location, 22 is the year and 182 is the day of the year). Military or 24-hour time noted as 21: 34 hrs. too. This is simple simple simple stuff. I don't think it's too much to ask for. I'm giving three stars because the employee seem sincere despite being a little bit snarky and pompous (perhaps in disbelief) with my request for a date. See attached photograph of a Home Depot tube of DAP that I bought today. Again simple stuff, but in my opinion very important.

I needed to repaint my front door that was painted several years ago. Since my door is faces the sun the name of the paint that I had did not match the door anymore. I cut some paint from around the door, took it to Sherwin-Williams and they matched it perfectly. Came home and painted the door and it was a perfect match. The front door and the door trim looks perfectly new again!

I had to read one of the reviews in order to find the entrance which I started laughing because it literally was right by the construction on Slauson off of Jefferson. But once I got inside I was greeted by the members of Sherwin Williams and I was happy they got me everything I needed and they even help me to my truck. Thanks a lot guys.

Great store with great products and super helpful people. A little hard to find since they have a Jefferson Avenue address but the entrance is way around the corner, but well worth finding them.

Great products at a fair price, courteous & knowledgeable staff. Parking was problematic because of construction and poor signage. But, once I discovered how to park, then the world of Sherwin-Williams was at my beck n call. I usually shop at the big boxes, where they don't know their products but you get low cost. I think you get what you pay for. I made three trips to S-W; first to try them out, then two more to get all my needs met by pros. Glad I returned to S-W family. They are really worth the price.

My sad tale with a happy ending...went to HD to get a texture paint tinted; I had to buy the texture paint on the HD website cuz the store didn't have it. The paint mix people flatly refused to tint my 2 1/2 gallon paint, cuz I didn't buy it there. Went down the street to the S-W on Jefferson, hunted around for the entrance (buried behind street construction. Made the same request. They, too, declined to do the actual tinting, but would readily mix up the tint (which worked just fine, letting me tint in the quantities I wanted at home). The clerk spent about 30 min mixing up my two selected tints on the computer/agitator, using clean quart cans, and I was happy. Then, he positively refused to charge me. Nope, nope, nope, says he, we don't charge for tinting, even if you don't buy it here. I even had my credit card in my hand, but he wouldn't take my money. Okay, I'll be back!

My experience at SW at this location has been mixed. Sometimes they are on their A game when it come to customer service and sometimes I have been made to wait while the men chat behind the counter. It's hit or miss. It's disheartening because this location is in my neighborhood and closer than Home Depot. To top it off, I was almost hit by a SW van this morning after he ran a stop sign and sped off toward the store. Wreck less driving through our kid friendly neighborhood is unacceptable.

The place is a bit hard to find, since the entrance is through the back, entering through Slauson instead of Jefferson. Once I got there to pick up my samples, I was in and out five minutes. The staff there were very nice and friendly.
