“Fun chaat outdoor shop for puri, different flavor sauces. I was particularly fond of the mango flavor. It was a fun appetizer to share with friends. The sugar cane drink was tasty as well.”
“If you're looking for freshest produce outside of a farmers market you go here. The people there are always nice and helpful, especially when you find yourself shuffling around during off peak hours. I see the same people and it's just a nice feeling. They aren't that big but they carry enough meats, cheeses, breads and eggs to keep a household ready for anything. I love this place.”

340 Castro St, Mountain View“This grocery store is very cozy. So many delightful niche options for cheese and pasta, a great selection of wines and milk (which is how I discovered this place, they stock A2 Milk!). They also have reasonably priced flowers, plants and succulents, what a bonus!”
“My go to and favorite market for the last 10 years has been the Mountain View Farmers' Market. If I have plans on Sundays, I choose to go to the Sunnyvale's on Saturdays. I wanted to see how Milpitas Farmers' Market compares to the two and if it could cover our necessities as well. I must say I was surprised to see the number of vendors although it is not as big and varied as the MV's. I was also hoping to find more certified organic products, but that is not so. Still, it is a viable option if you do not want to buy waxed apples, cucumbers, zucchinis, or vegies that sit spoiled and moldy on the grocery store shelves. The highlight of my visit to this market today was freshly caught mackerel and sardines from Monterey Bay ($4/ lbs each), which I gutted myself; no big deal, I am used to it. They also had a type of huge rockfish, which the vendor said they would clean. There are ready to eat food vendors, two or three bakery vendors as well. There is a lady who sells eggs, too; I think she sells at the MV as well.Although I arrived way too late, the vendors still had plenty of produce to sell.I am grateful to be living in a farming state and having options and access to many farmers' markets around us. Thanks to all who make the markets possible during Rain or Shine or Storm!”
“First time come across this small fruit stand / farm. Most of the fruits and veges produces selling here are grown in the back of this small farm. It's such a hidden gems. We came to get pumpkin for Fall decorations and would definitely come back.”
“They had everything we needed from international foods to produce and halal meats. The Ramadan decor is the best I’ve seen in the USA. They’ve got lamps, lights, hanging signs, and more!! We will be shopping here regularly.”
7AM - 9PM
3145 Payne Ave, San Jose“Small but excellent specialty grocery store. You can probably find everything you need and more. It’s clean and well stocked. The meat section is pretty good. Marinated meats are seasoned just right. I will be back”
“High marks due to wide variety and reasonable prices. Known for fruit and veggies but carries lots more: cheese/dairy, baked goods, spices, ethnic food -- and much more. It's a small speciality store next door to the one of the best speciality stores: Trader Joe's. I quibble a bit as I regularly find berries that are moldy and veggies with soft spots. Some yelpers complain about the staff. They can be perfunctory but I've never seen them be rude. Base your own groceries to speed things up.”
“July visit - summer fruits and vegetables! Gorgeous little local farm stand selling all the freshest goodies you can get your hands on. Everyone at the stand today was so sweet and helpful. I walked away with a ton of stone fruits and summer veg for $28. Prices were very fair, I love how fresh everything is! All fruits are ready to be eaten in the next couple days, veg will last a bit longer. I will absolutely be back after my fiancé and I fight over the last peach.”
“Amazing fruits. I get blood oranges here. I don't find them anywhere else. The Mexican Ruby’s stall has pine apple and strawberry tamales. They are really tasty ?..”
“I've been going here for over a decade. My kids used to call it "The happy tomato". I still drive all the way to Campbell from San Jose for fresh produce and fruit.”
“They sell the best fresh jasmine flowers in Bay Area . Its very lengthy strands and smells very very fresh .Call the stores and check for availability of jasmine and then go .I received lots of compliments from my friends .”
“Really enjoyed their entertainment today, they had a barbershop chorus called the Peninsulaires they were awesome! All the vendors had great vegetables and fruits as well as some great breads, pastries and deli bagels”
“Wow, I am seriously impressed with our delivery every week! Such good value, high quality and actual dirt on the veggies :) Our veggie bag with eggs comes to $50 delivered and lasts us all week (2 adults). We have stopped going to the supermarket. I love the variety as I'm forced to look up new recipes too. Highly recommend.”
“Absurdly overpriced. If it didn’t take meal plan dollars I wouldn’t go there. But does have a huge assortment of snacks (a recent update) despite the weird and depressing atmosphere.”

“Large variety of Indian groceries with a good parking space. But most importantly, their live food counters are amazing! Pani poori is as good, if not better than the Apna bazaar ones. Even the curries and snacks taste really good. And to top it off, it’s never been over crowded, making it my favorite spot.”
