Used to go here and hair cut was good. But they often stop your hair cut to talk with others, which is really impolite to customers. And they also raise the fee to 35+tips per less than 30-min cut recently, no longer recommended any more.

Very nice couple who know what they are doing. They are super skillful and have accurate eyes. Been doing my haircut here for years. Still coming to this place regardless where I live in the bay.

It pains me to leave this review, but after my most recent experience here, I have to. I've been coming to this salon whenever I'm in town for a few years now to support, but I will not be visiting again. I asked for a simple haircut and was very clear with my instructions, but the male barber did the opposite of what I said, seemingly on purpose. He firstly did not cut my hair to the length we had agreed on. After a correction, he got quite pissy and kept hitting me with the tools on my back, my forehead, whenever he could while he continued the procedure of cutting my hair. I specifically asked for no layers on top, but guess what? He layered my hair at the top. The result is that I have a bunch of shorter hairs sticking out of my head for no reason and they will continue sticking out no matter how I brush my hair. Now, I'll have to deal with this baby hair unkempt look for months, which is especially bad considering that my job depends on my looks. Not only is there a language barrier (I would not recommend coming here if you can't speak fluent Chinese), but he is also incapable of following instructions -- he seemed to purposely do the opposite of what I wanted. It is unacceptable for a hair dresser to do the opposite of what a paying customer asks for. Take your business elsewhere.

Very very bad experience with this salon. The owner only spent 15 min on my hair and charged $50 plus tip. I was very clear with what i wanted and it ended up with nothing like what i wanted. I could have done the haircut myself. Avoid this place!!Service: Haircut

I have been visiting this hair salon for more than 7 years. The shop run by a couple. They are nice, patient and caring on how to treat your hair. In the 7 years I didn't go to other salons because I trust them. Highly recommend !

I have been visiting this husband/wife duo for 10+ years and they are the only ones I trust to layer my hair correctly!Hair Fashion National is great for both short and long hair cuts and they use hand scissoring instead of razors for my layering. I am always happy with the result as long as I bring in reference photos and description for the style I want, which has varied over celebrities and kpop idols over the years.I have lived in NYC/LA for 8 years and I have tried many Japanese salons for the higher quality, aesthetic, and free green tea, but they usually tone down or make my layers more conservative than the exact style I am looking for and I end up not being happy with the result. Plus they always increase their prices to the $65-85 + tip range which is getting to be too much for my budget. I still always choose to wait and come back to Cupertino to have this salon cut my hair exactly how I would like.Definitely give them a try, they have been cutting hair for 20+ years, have lots of experience, and I highly recommend!Note: When entering Bollinger Plaza -> turn right.Services: Haircut

I've been coming here for the last 5 years and 100% trust both the husband and wife with my thick hair. I hope they never move out of this area, but even if they do, I will make the trek just to get my hair cut! Their haircuts are very reasonably priced (~$35) and grows out very well over time. They really understand how to cut hair based on hair type, thickness, face shape, etc. Not to mention their perms are also very reasonably priced (~$100-$200 I think, depending on ingredients you choose) and they last almost a year and a half!

I'd thought I'd provide an update to this old review due to the rushed nature of the previous one. Overall, we had great experience working with the couple that works here. Ever since they opened, they were the de-facto place we got our haircut from. The only complaint would be the elevated price, however. If you're looking for the best bang for your bucks, this place is not it. However, if you're looking for a friendly barber shop that are both professional and can speak Chinese, this is the place to go.

Came here to try it out for the first time. The shop is run by a couple. The husband washed my head in such a rush like playing volleyball. He is really careless without any care. The female stylist is skillful in haircut. But she was consistently talking to the husband and doing other stuff in parallel that you feel you were left aside. Generally not a good experience at all. It is hard to understand why they provide such bad service while double charge fee comparing to the shop in the SAME plaza. Be aware!
