I've taken four different cars in over the last six months, older jeep, 2014 Subaru, BMW, and an RV. All repairs were done the same day. I brought it in with no warning the mechanic Salazar. Is a "mechanics, mechanic" I know what I'm doing. I've fixed my cars a lot. Now I'd rather take them to Salazar. He has so much fun and does such a good job.We will recommend them to everybody! They are, our family mechanics now!

THIS BUSINESS WILL SCAM YOU. A BUNCH OF THUGS WORK HERE.I came here for radiator leak that I need new radiator. They did some diagnostic tests and charged me $2500 for new radiator plus other hidden issues they claimed they were able to discover. That sounds very suspicious, so I took the car to other super reputable mechanic shop for second opinion in San Jose with 1200+ reviews and 5 stars rating on Yelp. The owner told me I definitely new radiator, nothing else. The other stuff Imperial Automotive discovered is all fake. To make my experience even worse, Imperial folks screwed up the starter cables going to the engine that caused engine idling rpm going up and down. Absolutely a bunch of criminals waiting for their moments to break your bank. The owner is an Asian in case you bump into him.

Very friendly and helpful. I came in for tire repairs twice now and Salvador was happy to do the work for me and Jhun (owner) went around filling all tires with air and even found another nail in another tire! Very grateful to them both. In and out under 10 minutes.

Have a power steering problem and the owner charge me 50 just to look at my car and tell me nothing after it. Keep try to charge me extra for everything the mechanic said. The mechanic are really nice and helpful but be careful for the scam owner. Come here if you want to get charge for premium air.

I had taken my car here for service on and off for several years, partly because they are located 2 miles from my house. The current owner, Yuen, and Salvador are great people. My Acura RDX needed to have regular maintenance service, plus the hatchback would not stay open. Salvador diagnosed the problem and explained to me what needed to be done, and how much the job might cost. They ordered the parts, called me when the parts arrived. I brought the car in and the job was completed in 4 hours. When I picked up the car, Yuen took the time to explain to me all the line items on the invoice. I never had anyone explaining to me my bill before in so much details. I highly recommend this local auto shop to anyone.

I've been taking my cars to Imperial Automotive for 20+ years. The staff is very friendly and honest. I recently had to have a battery replaced. I found that it was very hard to locate the exact battery but the people at Imperial found one and knew that it was special.Services: Auto maintenance

these dudes are good, maybe not the best, but they are honest and they try, they are not the cheapest, but they are reasonable i think. i'd been using imperial automotive for 20+ years?!, when several previous owners were there. The most recent and current one, Yen, is a nice korean guy, just trying to make an honest living and starting from near scratch because he probably bought the previous owners book of business/customers. they are not that that that terribly busy, so that's good for me, and i almost always call beforehand before coming in just to see if they are busy and if they can take care of my car needs. they've done major engine, brake and suspension work on my various cars over the years, and salvador has been the main thread running thru the years, i trust him sincerely, and usually/always heed his advice, plus he's a nice guy to befriend as well. i've recommended many people to Imperial as well over the years. another big reason i like them is their proximity to my residence which is only ~1/2 mi. to 1 mi. away, so i can just walk home after dropping my car off.

They were going to charge me $500 for a job that should be less than $200! I've been going here for so many years, and multiple cars. Now I feel like how much have they ripped me off over they years. Especially a recent job for over $7000 ! Yes, you read that correctly over $7000. Why we trusted them for this expensive repair, I don't know. We thought they were honest. Not sure whether it's the change in ownership, or have they always been this shady and I've never noticed it before because I trusted them.

The owner has changed, so BE AWARE of this place - very deceptive and dishonest! I came to that place based on Yelp reviews (but I was not aware that the shop has changed to a new owner, so the good reviews don't reflect the current owner's practice). I brought my car to the shop, because of the "Check Engine" alert. The diagnostic test revealed a faulty thermostat sensor. I was quoted for $450 for the job. I got a feeling of overpricing, but was assured that was reasonable, and I would be tallied for the charges. the 2nd day when I picked up my car, I noticed and pointed out to the owner that I was overcharged labor by 1-2 hours based on market rate. On top of that, the "Check Engine" alert was still on, which means the issue not resolved. then I was told that the air fuel sensor was at fault. what a coincidence! smell a bit fishy, Because of prior job's overcharge, and my wasteful trip, the owner agreed fixing my air fuel sensor issue at part cost w/o labor (the owner promised that he would provide me part receipt). I was charged for $350 for the 2nd job. when I asked for part receipt, the owner was evasive - I later found out the part cost is $100. The lesson here - always ask for the itemized quote for a fee w/o committing the job to the shop! You would easily end up spending more money in these shitty shop than a dealership !
