This place is bad, like really terrible. Employees are actively not good at their job. I was expecting a package 8/16. The carrier out on delivery decided they couldn’t read the address and shipped it back. The infamous words no one ever wants to see on their tracking: ‘return to sender.’ Last scanned location: Cupertino, ca.
Went to the post office Monday morning 8/18 to see if I could just collect the package myself. Because we all know the post isn’t open on Sunday so chances are it’s still there right? Wrong. Clerk was dismissive and unkind. “It was retuned to sender!” “Yes, I understand that but why?” I ask. “Address was missing apt number.” Okay, I find that hard to believe as it was a printed label but sure. I ask, “do you have a photo?” “No!”, okay so no proof? “Do you know where it is currently located?” “It is being returned!” Clerk says. Right I understand that, but you have to have some way of Telling me where it is exactly as it makes its return trip, right? “No! It is being returned!” He says. *facepalm*
They tell me I have to wait for it to travel all the way back across the country, and have the sender ship it again. Ridiculous.
Hey USPS/ Cupertino, why don’t you hold the package for 24hrs and mark it pickup at post office before sending it across the country? Why isn’t there any way for me to see its current location and progress as it gets sent back? Why is your Cupertino location so bad at answering a simple question, Where. Is. My. Package!?
Something’s fishy. The fact that you can’t tell me where it is after being RTS’d is extremely strange. If the package doesn’t show up back to the sender by the end of the week I’m contacting the postmaster general for mail theft investigation.

I attempted to transfer and forward mail to a PO Box here. It was properly set up. I never received my mail for over three months. I checked weekly, and nothing.
Now when I attempt to open box my keys keys to my box do not work.
No one responds, no one answers phone, nobody helps.
And now I’ve lost all my renewals and bills not to mention immigration correspondence because of it. Now I risk being deported.
Thanks USPS!!!

They throw out mail/packages if not picked up in 2 weeks - without giving you ANY tracking or telling you how to get it back. Will be closing my PO Box here - none of the other PO Boxes in the area would do this btw.

What’s the point of having a phone if y’all don’t know how to answer? I’ll wait.

Carlos is the best! She noticed that I was overcharged by $1 at the last second and corrected it!

Grew up in this town been going to this post office for 20+ years… service really went down from 4/5 stars to 1/2
This is the story of my most recent trip here that boiled my blood and ruined my entire day. Also causing me to be late for work.
The old white guy at the counter was the only one who didn’t have a name tag…. So there’s no accountability to claim….
When I finished waiting in line and walked to the counter with a P.O. Box overflow tag, the clerk said you went out of town and didn’t feel like telling anyone huh…. I said I’m helping my father get mail from his P.O. Box without letting me finish he then says in a condescending tone well you’re not going to get the mail if it’s not your mailbox. I then said I’ve been added onto the account, says oh we’ll see about that. I hear him in the back saying well his last name matches but not the first I can’t give him the mail….
I was told to leave without getting the P.O. Box mail….
I sat in my car calling my father who is out of the country and was debating to drive back home since work was starting soon… back to Sacramento without completing my quest…. I decided to go back in line one last time, spoke to the same guy again and asked well what’s the process to be added on the mailbox account? He said: The account holder has to come in person and authorize the add…
Well, We did that before 3years ago, clerk then said okay let me go back there and check again…..
For context
I’ve been helping gather my parents mail for the past two years but I live in Sacramento now…the clerk just says well you shouldn’t have been given the mail in these last couple of years…
So you can understand my frustration… after driving 2 hours… and get this treatment…
They finally found my info scribbled on a piece of paper… gave me the mailbox contents… I dumped it in my car and drove to work late and mood ruined. Didn’t have time to sort or use their recycle bins…
The clerk he did say: sorry you had to go through that.
Well… Sorry i feel inclined to leave a honest review while looking at this pile of bad experience during my lunch break.

I stopped by to ship some things during the holiday season. I came in nervous because I didn't know the best ways to ship my items and was expecting the workers to be stressed due to the time of year. Both workers there at the time were super chipper and helpful, helping me figure out the best way to ship my items and what forms needed to be filled out.

This is arguably the biggest embarrassment to the US postal service; I routinely get mail from my neighbors (initially I walked across and delivered it as I know them for several years but it is the responsibility of the postal services to deliver mail reliably I am not your mail carrier!) mail sent by priority mail from this post office was lost (untraceable) and then showed up a couple of weeks later. International mail which takes about 2 weeks to deliver has not shown up at the destination after a month. Checks mailed across town arrived 2 weeks later torn, with a printed apology letter from the postmaster blaming their high speed sorting machine. Postmaster general - if you are reading this review this office needs a change of leadership and more accountability to the people it’s supposed to serve!

Best part of this USPS is that the lobby is open on weekends. When I have to run my errands on weekends, it’s helpful I can at least dropoff or purchase shipping labels for packages using the self-serve kiosk.
