I want to extend my thanks to CHRIS (in the "chicken department"). We placed a BIG ORDER. And, CHRIS "came through". Our order was "ready on time" (and food was hot and delicious). Thank you CHRIS and " team" @ Stater Brothers :).

This is the best grocery store in the area. The prices are lower than other brands (Ralphs, Vons, etc) and you get the same quality items. This store is always clean. The employees are polite, friendly and helpful every time I shop here.

Last week I bought a pack of beef bologna and it's a big pack , that's all they sell. Brought it home and it looked kind of funny on the sides, parts were falling apart. I checked the date Jan. 2024 took it back they gave me a refund. Went back today they had restocked with the same date. I said to an employee that it expires next month, he says I can't take it off the shelf with this attitude I tried to show him what it looked like on the sides and he just turned his back on me. I was being nice this guy was a jerk.Anyway, if you shop at this store check the expiration dates.

Unfortunately I threw my receipt away but I believe the persons name at the register is Kristen. An African American woman. I greeted her she didn't respond. I proactively asked for a plastic bag and again didn't respond. I almost was going to ask again thinking she didn't hear me but she reached for the bag. After I was done, I thanked her and once again crickets. there was no bye or have a good day. Not sure if she only treats black customers this way or if it is across the board. Please train her on what is required in a customer facing position or have her do something else thats not customer facing. I don't like idle chit chat but it's literally her job to say hello and some variation of bye. She is so rude.fyi this is coming from someone that has been coming to this store for 20plus years.

I have shopped at this stater brothers for many years as I live in los alamitos. This is a very busy store it is well stocked And there are always good deals. This afternoon my husband and I saw Lorenzo as we often do in sundays. This Employee is extremely helpful. Every time we come into the store, we see him working very hard. A few weeks ago we saw him in the heat helping an elderly lady With her groceries and such. Five stars stater brothers great employees, Helping invest in our community. LOVE IT !

Slowest customer service and rudest managers ever. I told the hiring manager who refused to hire me that he needs to get more lanes open and he didn't even look at me and walked away when he was in the front staring at how busy it was and twiddling his thumb figuring out how to handle it.Here's how: Train your employees to work faster, and get more checkout lanes open. There's at least 8 customers per lane, 4 white shirted employees walking around in the front with nothing to do, and only 3 lanes open. If I walked around with nothing to do at my old job I'd get screamed at, reprimanded, harassed and threatened to be fired.Never any lanes open to accomadate all the people and the cashiers are ungodly slow. I wouldn't shop here ever again if it didn't have the best deals and selections in the state with how expensive everything is.

Today I brought my 91 year old mother to shop at this Stater Bros and I have to say that every time I come to this store it's always so clean and the employees are always smiling and helpful. Today we checked out with Victoria M. TRX #2785 and her smile was so beautiful. I told her what a great smile she had and she was so appreciative and attentive to my mother. It's so nice to see people enjoying what they do and interact with customers. Great customer service is given at this store #159. Thank you.

On our way to our dad's birthday party at a restaurant, two of my sisters and I stopped at this Stater Bros. location to pick up a Kevlar helium-filled balloon. This is a medium sized store, and it's in a strip mall, sharing a large, free parking lot. Thankfully, there is always lots of available parking for customers. After we had fanned out and walked through the aisles looking for filled balloons, we struck out. Out of all the places that we could have stopped at, this was one of the rare grocery stores that didn't have any balloons already filled with helium. Towards the end of my walk through the aisles, it occurred to me that we should have been looking up at the ceiling, searching for those wayward balloons that customers grab and, somehow, get free from their grip. Looking up, I didn't see any. As my sisters, locations unknown, continued walking throughout the store, I walked to the front near the checkout lines, looking for balloons, but didn't see any. I interrupted an employees' team meeting, asking for a helium balloon, and one of the managers told me that I could check out the balloons near the live plants area close to one of the entrances and the deli. I was confused, because the only balloons I saw were single ones in the packages, so I went back to the same manager and told her that I wanted a balloon filled with helium. That's when she further explained that if I found a packaged balloon that I wanted, I could pay for it and then the balloon would be filled by an employee. Ooooohhhh! My sisters caught up to me, and I explained the process. Most of the packaged balloons were for kids or women, and they didn't have all the numbers (I was thinking that I could buy "9" and "0" balloons, but they both weren't available. By mutual grudging agreement, we decided to get a balloon that had "Happy Birthday" on it with a graphic of a piece of cake. We went through the check out, then told the young man at the register that we wanted it filled with helium. He looked confused (first timer with this experience, apparently), took the package to a leader, and then disappeared. After about 10 minutes, he returned with the balloon filled, obviously after receiving balloon-filling on-the-job training.Unless you find a balloon that you find that is an absolutely must have, don't dome here for helium filled balloons. It's much quicker and more efficient to go elsewhere where they're already filled. My observations about this store: the store is clean and organized; aisles need more signage which would greatly help customers find items quicker; aisles are narrow - two shopping carts side by side in the aisle don't allow anyone room to walk past; the deli is big and the food all look fresh and smell terrific; customer service here is so-so.

5/26/23 Stopped by with my sister & cousins to pick up bbq items, meats & hot dogs, etc.I have to admit, Stater Brothers is definitely known for a really good meat department. Meats look well dressed & prepared, fair prices. The cashier looks like he's had a hard week so he's not all smiles. It was a quick trip. I picked up s hair clip/claw that I was surprised to find here-the kind that is a no slip grip. Quick stop, no muss no fuss.

This is the place I go to for a quick list of groceries. It is well organized and after a few times of going to this location, you can get a good idea of where everything you may need is located. Aside from close proximity of this store, I find myself conveniently going here if I need to purchase foods that are consumed on a daily basis such as bananas, lettuce, cucumbers, and other fruits and vegetables. It is also a good place to go for smaller portioned foods or in my words "guilty pleasures" like chips, ice creams, and other snacks. I personally like purchasing Lay's chips, especially when there is a special deal going on. That way I can purchase more, but in different flavors.

The butchers here are simply the best. Yesterday Ribeye steak was on sale. They were out of packed steaks and let me know fresh cut ones were on their way shortly. I did the rest of my shopping with my kids and came back. They have my steaks packed and ready to go. Very much appreciated!

This place is really convenient and it's a shame that a store so nicely stocked and maintained has such rude and unpleasant folks at the register. And it's not just the fact that everything seems to bother and inconvenience them, it's the fact that they often express their homophobic, transphobic, and racist opinions amongst each other in front of guests. And treat different guests differently. Their pandemic precautions were also pretty short-lived awhile back - and boy did they complain about masking, good grief. I like the store, and I like all the other employees, but I can't count at this point how many bad and uncomfortable experiences I've had at the registers. Not kind. Not good. I imagine this energy comes right from the management. Avoid.
