The staff and owner are great and truly care about their students. The teachers make sure my student understands every concept being taught and teaches skills to do well in school and on the test. I do feel their test prep curriculum is rigorous but they have such a high acceptance rate so they know how to help. They've been quick to address any parent concerns as well.

My daughter got into Oxford Academy with PSA tutoring. She so well prepared that she thought the exam was too easy. She is basically done with pre algebra. Her writing also significantly improved.

PSA is not a suitable place for those who do not have moderate knowledge of math and English. Most of the staff working here are college students and part-time teachers who doesn't have enough knowledge to understand the students' needs. The management focuses heavily on marketing and profit. They provide packets for students to work on every day, but if students have doubts, they are not cleared on the same day. I feel the fees are too high compared to other institutes. They claim an 80% success rate, but I am not sure how they calculate this. I would recommend this institute only for taking tests. Nowadays, we have a lot of AI tools available to correct mistakes, and portals available to practice math tests.

My daughter got in at Oxford Academy with the help of PSA. I truly appreciate them. I will enroll my daughter again before school yr starts. I highly recommend them.

PSA has helped my child to learn how to write proper essays. They provided many materials to guide him through his writing journey. They also taught him about the dead words in the essays. Over the 18 weeks Oxford Prep course, his writing skills improved significantly. They also provided work materials on Mathematics and English literature to help him prepared for the Oxford Academy entrance exam. Thanks to PSA, my child got accepted into Oxford Academy.

It's been around four years since I took Oxford prep here, so I don't know if the instructors are the same, but my experience was overall positive. The reading/writing instruction here is its highlight— it definitely over prepares you for the test, assuming you receive high Bs/As on your packets and essays by the end of the course. The writing instructors (I forgot your names, I'm sorry... one wore black glasses and went to Harvard, and the other had curly brown hair and a younger sister) give honest scores and specific, helpful advice. Personally, for math, I would go to that other popular test prep center, but the curriculum here gets the job done.Weekly packets/essays are manageable, and since the program is for students in elementary school, there's really no reason why someone wouldn't have time to complete the work. I recommend finding a friend who can also attend, as it makes the experience considerably more fun!Again, I don't know if the situation has changed, but this is my take from back when I went here.

Way too expensive for the amount of work and experience they give you; would definitely not recommend.

The Oxford prep was very useful. 8 out of 10 kids in my daughter's prep group got in, most or all of them from the more competitive Lexington zone. And going to Oxford helped my daughter get in to an Ivy League University. Her group met twice a week and it was tough getting all the work done, but she was motivated and did complete the work packet every week. I think the first practice essay took days for her to write but in the end she was able to write a competent essay in 30 minutes. Even if she had not gotten in to Oxford I think the skills she learned in the Oxford prep were valuable to her in Junior and Senior High School. It was money well spent on a motivated kid. And she met a good group of kids in her prep class.

Don't go here. Waste of your child's time. They just give you homework and they don't even guide you through it or teach you what to do. Homework is also long and not even helpful. Totally different from work they give at school. If your child does their homework, they are wasting their time. Whenever they meet, they just go over some super easy passage that is even less helpful than the homework and has NOTHING to do with their homework anyways. Also a waste of 2 and a half hours. Go here if you want your child to suffer
