I was a usual customer here and often came during the morning. Usually this meant that most of their baked goods were behind in the kitchen. I often find the stuff i want on display but there are rare occasions that i need to ask the staff behind the kitchen. Today unfortunately was the day i had to ask them because everything on display were sweet baked goods and i wanted something savory. I rarely ask staff members behind in the kitchen and when i asked a staff member she simply said "nothing here is ready" so i backed off. 2 minutes later another person asked for the same bun and she gave it to the other person. When she brought out the bun to the other guy she clearly saw me because i turned around in disbelief. Im not sure if it was bc she was of the same ethnicity as the customer or if she just didn't realize that the item i asked was the same as the other person. I honestly felt unwelcome and discriminated and unwelcome because when i when to talk to her she totally ignored me. I don't think ill be coming back after this.

Nice light cakes. I enjoyed the strawberry cake! I went back to get another to try and ordered the mango flavor. The cake was nice and light, the mango cream was pretty natural tasting, but the actual mangoes on top were unripe and green. They were crunchy and very sour, as expected for an unripe mango. It was a bit of a disappointment

Came in Thursday morning to buy some buns and reserve a cake for my niece bday. I SWEAR they have a strawberry chiffon cake, but the girl that helped me said they never had it. Not sure if they stop making it. While going thru my phone the night before, my niece found an 8inch chocolate cake from 85 (3 years ago), but I didn't see it in their display, she said she wanted that one again. I also showed her a strawberry deluxe or mango creme brûlée. It was up to me, I went for the mango crème brûlée. The girl that helped me was nice and made it very easy. I wish they offer smaller cake but they only make 8inches. I paid for everything at once. Made the reservation to pick up at 2pm, just need to bring in my cake receipt that they give you a copy of. Came in at 1:30pm and my cake is all ready! Cake was delicious! Even tho the mango fruit cubes was hard, it was sweet enough. My mom thought the cake itself was a bit too sweet. Niece and nephew loved it. My brother ate 2 slices. Definitely will be back to order cakes for more bday. This bakery & Fancy Little Wheat Field are my places to go for cakes.

I have never had a bad experience at an 85°. Nor have I had any pastries that aren't food. Everything is good, workers are fast. It's just so easy to go here and grab something quick. I saw this pastry for the first time ever and it's a portos dupe. IT WAS SO GOOD! I loved it. More pastry than filling but the filling was great. I want more! My least favorite would have to be the cakes at 85° but others do really like. Come get some yum stuff at any 85!

Nice Taiwanese bakery items: milk bread, taro swirl, coconut puffs, red bean bread, and some savory buns like Hawaiian chicken and a wheat mushroom. All are continuopusly restocked and fresh! Would have been a 5 (maybe) if their drink menu was more substantial and varied (no taro milk tea with fresh taro? really?) and also there isn't much of anything else but the breads and drinks. If you're going to do drinks, do them better.

Yes. Good! Love their cakes. Not super heavy and overloaded with sugar. I used to live in Taiwan and am so happy to get this slice of yummy TW desert culture here in the Bay Area. 50/10. They also have a Boba tea machine from Bubbleteaology- so you know they are good.

I love coming here but I'm so done with the cashiers attitude! I literally greet her and request things nicely and she just stands there with a blank stare..... my receipt says 'Grace' but could be another girl? Not sure very disappointed.

Stopped by for a quick treat. Lots of choices and ended up deciding on a chocolate mousse cake and the Hokkaido cream cake. Also grabbed a Zebra milk tea (hot). Tables are located at the back. No one else was sitting there, so we had the whole area to ourselves. The chocolate mousse was not too sweet, and hubs enjoyed this one. The Hokkaido cream cake is a sponge cake - moist, but I would've liked more of the cream added. Good if you like sponge cake. To me, nothing special. The milk tea was good - maybe could've been a tad less sweet.

A very pretty and yummy bakery and cafe. We tried a lot of bakery items, the best I liked was the chiffon cake. It was a complete pleasure for the taste buds. Super tasty and beautiful cakes and buns. Do try!

85 degree is one of my go-to, if not most visited bakeries. They have a variety of drinks + pastries + cakes ranging from savory to sweet! I love how they're constantly restocking their items with freshly baked ones so you can always get what you want! The pastries are individually wrapped in plastic baggies which makes me feel a lot safer knowing no one else has touched the bread I grabbed or any contamination. (Although I know it's a waste of plastic, I believe this is a good touch considering it's flu season and covid is still around) My favorite pastries are the brioche, marble taro, and milk pudding bread! Their cakes are also very yummy! Soft, creamy, and not too sweet! (which is an Asian compliment haha)
