I am beyond grateful for this office! My dog started foaming at the mouth after a trip to the dog park, and I brought her in to see if anyone could possibly take a look at her. Despite the team being busy with a full roster, they found a way to squeeze her in between appointments. They took such good care of her! I have been a Banfield member since we adopted her, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my furbaby. Thank you Rony, Dr Lee, and Crystal, for being such spectacular humans and helping this worried dog mom! Y'all are the best.

I do not understand why this vet does not take you into the exam room along with your pet. I brought my senior cat in for a serious concern and had to answer all of the nurses questions at the check-in counter. She then took my pet into an exam room with the vet and left me in the lobby anxiously waiting. After the exam the vet (Dr. McVey) told me IN THE WAITING AREA that he had found a mass in my cat's abdomen that he believed to be cancer. I had to process that news with an audience as he went over treatment options with me. It was an awful experience.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The vet was very knowledgeable about how to treat my dog. And they respected my situation and did their best to accommodate me.

Horrible horrible horrible. Our cat is usually fine with vets, we picked him up and they informed us he had peed in his carrier. We took him out and he was soaked head to toe in pee, and when we asked they said he had been in his own pee for 2 or 3 hours. Completely unprofessional and horribly handled. How can pet specialists let a cat sit in his own pee for 3 hours and not even attempt to help him. Don't bring your pet here, borderline abuse. Every employee here should be barred from handling animals

DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE!! i picked up my cat from an all day teeth cleaning and was told he had an accident in the carrier so it was wet and be careful. i took him in my car and realized not only was the carrier wet but he was DRIPPING wet from his own pee and it smelled awful and stale leaving me to believe he'd been this way for a while. I went back in and questioned wtf happened to my pet back there and they "reassured" me that he couldn't have been sitting in his own pee for more than 2-3 hours.... are you kidding me? how inhumane! trained professionals should be able to handle a scared cat who's still coming off sedation long enough to AT LEAST put him in another carrier or a clean space so he's not marinating in his own pee. incredibly unprofessional and borderline abusive, you guys should be ashamed.

After moving up from the South Bay, we were hoping to experience the same quality care we received from our neighborhood Banfield in San Jose. Unfortunately, the first Banfield we visited left us and our pup so upset we decided to make the drive back down to San Jose for Joey's comprehensive exams. Then a week later, Joey's left eye started discharging a goopy, green film. Pressed for time, I called the Banfield on Gellert. They called us when they had a cancellation and Dr. McVey couldn't have been nicer and explained Joey's condition and how to treat it. We were relieved that it wasn't serious. The folks at the Banfield in the PetSmart on Gellert were helpful and listened to our concerns. So maybe we don't have to make that drive to the South Bay after all...

Ya they're pretty weak I took my dog to the grooming section and they couldn't cut her nails cause it was curving into her paws. So we went next door to banfield. The front desk told us to walk her around so she can shorten her nails. That's not the response we're looking for since her nails was digging in her paws. They could t help us. Never again going there

I have never taken one of my cats to a Banfield hospital until today. My cat had cancer and during the Easter weekend became near death. I had been giving him several prescriptions from our regular vet, however, he progressed rapidly towards a painful demise within days. Since our regular vet would be out of the office an extra day for the holiday, I began calling various weekend hospitals or traveling vets who could come to our home for his euthanasia. What a shock!! Some weekend vets said just the cremation cost ( no pickup or cremation!) $450, another said $550, and in home vets were in the range of $600-750!! After sleeping near my pet for 3 nights, I knew we needed to end his suffering asap. We simply drove to the Daly City office of Banfield hospital at 8 a.m. as they opened, and told kindly that our kitty was dying and we needed to be seen immediately. We did not have an appointment as we could not schedule it due to the early hour! They were getting pets with appointments but we had no delay in seeing Dr. Tse, who was so efficient and kind. Our precious Mojo was sedated and then given the final drug for his euthanasia while we spent our loving final minutes with him. Dr Tse was professional and compassionate and never rushed us to leave the room. The staff, especially Jody, gave us phone calls after we left the hospital to give us updates on the pickup for Mojo's cremation location. 5***** service from this Banfield hospital in terms of every detail of this terribly sad experience. The price was affordable and the care and compassion will always be remembered with gratitude during such a painful time for our kitty and for our grieving. Thank you so much!

Avoid this Banfield branch at all cost! If you love your pet, you shouldn't bring them here. They don't turn on their phone lines until 10:00 am, yes, even if your appointment is prior to that 10th hour. So if you need to cancel, you're already considered a no-show because no one is there to answer the phone. Oh, and even if you've set up your appointment, they'll call you the day before to reschedule it and accuse you of setting up your appointment on "the app" to justify the multiple level of fvkkery that's going on in the phone call of "rescheduling". OR say, "they don't have a doctor at that time. And get this, you'd think that they're scheduling you at a later time since they say "there's no doctor at 10:00" - but they say come in at 9:00 instead for a drop-off. Like wtf? So you say you don't have a doc at my original time, but you have one an hour prior to that? Wait, what? We've probably gone through this with them a handful of times in the past year. I couldn't take the incompetence of their front desk any longer and just decided to drop them like a bad habit. My dog deserves better than this. So if you question the front office of this hospital and their lack thereof, wouldn't you also question the back office's credibility? And I wished they'd quit blaming the clients for their lack of organization...I have a niece who can manage her lemonade stand better than this group. They seem like they couldn't even manage themselves out of a paper bag. They need to close their office for 2 weeks. 1 week to hire new competent staff, and 1 week to retrain and go over their system and protocols. And a secret vet and a member of the Banfield administration should make an unannounced visit so they can see the sh!T show that they produce in this branch. PS: Colma office is such a breath of fresh air compared to this branch...go there instead if you're an OWP member.
