I had a great experience at Bassett. Ninette was very helpful as we explored options for a sofa I wanted. They have many fabrics to choose from, and the one we selected works great in my room. The sofa was delivered today by a clean and efficient crew. It looks great. I also purchased a unique looking table there. It's fun to browse the different "rooms" that are set up in the store. I was provided with email updates on the sofa making process and delivery which was very appreciated.

Walked in and was not greeted by anyone sitting at the "sales desk". We finally made a decision on which sofa set to purchase and some shitty dude walked up and offered us a floor model upstairs. LOL, nobody has time to buy a "floor model". He walked away with a snarky "okkaayyyy - you're welcome" attitude. Ha, and if you're going to be a snoot, either say it louder and in my face before you walk or wait until you get to your desk to make rude comments. Learn some manners and greet customers should be on your to do list. Don't sit there and be a weak sales person or judge people.

This company, store and manager are a joke. I've been trying to get and correct the sofa I purchased over a year ago. After numerous delays (disclaimer-I received a nominal store credit due to the delays), they delivered incorrect pieces to the sectional, which took an additional 4 months to get the correct piece. Almost immediately, we noticed the cushions weren't as firm as the store cushions and there was significant pilling on the sofa. I took a cushion to the store I purchased the sofa from and 3 Bassett employees stated there was a problem with the firmness of the cushion and the pilling was excessive and even excessive to the point they suspected a manufacturer defect. You would think they would correct the problem but no, not a thing. I went to talk to the manager again, Brian Hettinger, and he basically told me Bassett isn't going to do anything about it. I then called the corporate office and they said the Bay Area stores are privately owned and they can't/won't do anything about the situation. At this point, I disputed the charge with AMEX. Of course, almost immediately I got a call from the San Jose manager-John Candell, who has been extremely helpful. He came to my home to see the issues and sure enough, he said there is a problem, which makes the 4th Bassett employee to say there is a problem. Eventually, they agreed the inner foam and fabric of all cushions as long as I agree to remove the disputed charge so they can get paid. 6 weeks later they don't show at the scheduled delivery time to replace the cushion so they have to schedule another time. At the second delivery, they didn't bring everything and I ask the delivery driver to call the warehouse because there is a problem. He says no, he's not waiting because he has deliveries to make and leaves. Overall, it's clear they bait and switch quality product in the sores for cheap product delivered to your home and have horrible managers, like Brian Hettinger, working for them.

Brian was super helpful when I went into Bassett for the first time, Very pleasant to work with and gave me great ideas on which sofa to choose. I highly recommend this store for your furniture needs! Located on Gellert Boulevard in Daly city.

If you are new to furniture shopping this is the place to look! Brian was so attentive and patient. He helped us go over our options and pricing based off of what pieces we were initially interested in. My boyfriend and I are new renters and we felt super secure in our decision to spend money at Bassett Furniture. The staff was very professional but also very personable, something we didn't get when looking at other places. Trust me, we looked everywhere. The sofas we tested out at Bassett were so comfortable and each piece was customizable. Their designs are timeless and feel like they will age well in any space. Customer service and quality goes such a long way when you're spending over $1,000. Brian deserves a promotion if he isn't already a manager! I would rate our experience with 6 out of 5 stars if I could.

I have to give a review for the customer service I received from Michael here. He was so patent with us as we were deciding our sofas, it was almost a two day process since we kept on changing out minds. He even offered to come to our house to double check our measurements to ensure it will fit through our door. Although, we ended not getting it due to the pricing, we want to thank Michael and the rest of the staff for their time.

Just a heads up to any potential customers of furniture at Bassett! I purchased my sofas just barely 2 years ago. And the quality of the build i have to say is good. I have not had any issues with the motors for reclining, so far. Buuut the leather and finish are absolutely not worth the price! As I spent around $8,000.00! And I even bought the extra warranty from GUARDIAN and they would not back this defect! I'm posting this to give consumers an insight to their products as people work hard for their money and should receive what they pay for. My sofas from Jennifer Convertible lasted more than ten years in 2006 and cost only $3500.00. Im so disappointed!

This weekend, I drove down from Santa Rosa to look at the sectional couches at this store. My friend and I were greeted by William. In today's world, customer service is almost a part of the past. Not with William! He took his time, explained the different couches, types of material, how to accurately measure our family room space, etc. He was not pushy at all. In fact, I so badly wanted to give him my business but turns out the couch would not fit in our designated area. Anyway, I highly recommend this store and sales associate William. The store,is lucky to have this employee!

A complete scam from day one. They practice the oldest game in the book. The 'every day' price was exactly 30% lower than what they had the couch on sale for. So, they marked it up by 30%, charged almost $2,000 to select a different fabric which was poorly done, and then didn't include the throw pillows that were supposed to come with it nor provide any documentation of the additional $250 that I paid to cover fabric protection. Why this is not considered a criminal act is beyond me. I only went through with the sale because my husband liked the couch. I will never again deal with this company.

I recently purchased my sofa at this store. I worked with Ninette, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Over several visits, she was excellent to work with, extremely knowledgeable, professional and very patiently helped me navigate the plethora of options Bassett had to offer. She very quickly tuned in my style and taste to help my find the right sofa (not the most expensive). Even after the delivery, she was available to answer my questions. A great experience and I can highly recommend Ninette. A+++

I had been looking for a couch for months! I wanted a tight back couch that would be good for my back. The salesman, William Quan, informed me they didn't have any. I was ready to leave the store when William suggested I try the CU2 couch with firmer cushions. They made the difference. Also, the back cushions are firm but oh so comfortable. If not for William's suggestions, I would still be searching. William provided a lot of assistance with my purchase. And many kudos to the color consultant (Diane?) for picking out my pillow fabric, it looks great. Overall, an excellent experience. And quality furniture.

By far one of the best retail experiences I have ever had. Being in the customer service business, I am often a little critical, especially when making a personal purchase. We visited Bassett to look at a new couch with a potential to buy as we had been shopping around. As we entered, we were not rushed with the sales team, rather given time to peruse. We were acknowledge, politely for being in the store which was wonderful. Often we would enter a competitors store and not be able to look at the floor options before being asked for every criteria. When ready, we introduced ourselves to William who is exceptionally wonderful. Patient with us as we did have a well behaved 2 year old with us and well versed in the couched we wanted to compare. Since making the purchase on this day and having design assistance with pillows as alike, William has remained in contract. The couch is made to order so he send a few txt messages to apprise us of the timeline of production and delivery. It was fantastic. Our family is certainly advocates for Bassett and already planning our next purchase. Our home design is transitional and Bassett is a perfect fit our design & needs. Thank you William & your team.
