I had gone to two appliance showrooms without success and then decided to try CG where I was pleasantly surprised about the number of appliances they had in the store and the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff. I had Jeff Stern as my salesperson and he knew a lot about the different brands, their reliability, their availability, and their issues. For instance, he insisted that I measure every choke point from the front door to the kitchen and send him a video of the path the fridge would take from the street to the kitchen so he could be sure that the installation could take place without any problems. I had been confident there would be no problems since I had other appliances brought in without problems but he was right. He said the GE bottom freezer refrigerator I wanted was deeper than other refrigerators and would require 30 5/8" and when I measured everything like he recommended, my doorway from the DR to the kitchen was only 30". I ended up having to have my contractor and carpenter remove the above fridge cabinet to cut off 2" to give us the additional 1/2" (plus a margin for future replacements) we needed and remove the trim and enlarge the doorway to 31 or 32" for future appliance replacements. After giving him the space limitations and my preferences (bottom freezer) he worked hard to make me happy with other smaller alternatives (top freezer, different brands) but I decided to bite the bullet and do the renovations to enable me to get the GE model I really wanted. He was able to check on the availability (10 already delivered from the factory to S California and by the time I bought it down to 6) so the delivery time to my house would be 10 working days to get it up to SF. The installation by Tito and his partner was superb. They carried the fridge up so they wouldn't chip my brick stairs. Installed it without damaging the fridge in any way, made sure the water line was installed without any leaks, set the temperatures, leveled the fridge to my satisfaction so the door would close on it's own when we shut it, and told me what to expect in terms of reaching the proper temperatures (24 hours) and how to use the turbo cool feature. They removed the old fridge and all packing materials completely, leaving the house spotless and with no scratches on the floor or other damage. Really happy with the entire process from investigating the fridge options, buying it (Jeff matched Costco's price), the delivery time and the competent and on time installation. I appreciate working with a local store where I can contact human beings who know what they are doing should any problems arise. Better than big box stores in my opinion with constantly rotating sales people and CG can price match. I felt the additional costs for installation, old fridge removal worth it to have such personalized service.1/31/2024 update: I am even more pleased with Jeff and CG appliances. I ended up have major problems with the warranty service on the newly purchased GE refrigerator -going through three different service vendors, multiple failed attempts at getting the correct part, etc. Jeff assisted me throughout the entire ordeal and I am really gratified how Jeff took ownership of the problem, stood by his sale and helped me resolve the whole issue. I will definitely be using CG in the future for all my appliance needs.

The sales manager Jeff recommended and sold me a machine that didn't work upon installation (using their own CG guys to install). CG and Jeff, representing the companies rather than the customers' interests, refused to repair or replace the machine -- check the contract! So now I am stuck with an expensive machine that doesn't work. Therefore I have to eat the below costs -- about 10k -- in addition to all the wasted time on this bad purchase: 1. The cost of the CG machine since there is no refund (even though it's "under guarantee"). The manufacturer said the store should cover, so they're each pointing to the other and working against me. 2. What I paid for transport and installation of the CG machine. 3. The costs to remove and haul away the CG machine. 4. The costs to buy and install a new machine from somewhere else. Save yourself the rip-off, go somewhere else. Any place else.

I purchased a new Thermador Saphire Dishwasher. The sales process and service were phenomenal. I never write reviews but for CG Appliance I've made an exception. Well done!

Jeff from CG Appliance went above and beyond for me in every sense of the phrase. I never expected picking out appliances to be the best part of my home renovation. Talk to Jeff and you'll see why it'll likely be your best experience as well.He's always available, an encyclopedia of knowledge, and even after someone was installed incorrectly by our team - he got in touch and walked me through the warranty process in detail and made sure I was taken care of after I had fully paid and moved on.Jeff, thanks for everything if you're reading this!

If you want a SMEG, call Gloria and she will get you one. I spent an unbelievable amount of time searching for an appliance dealer who would sell me a SMEG duel-fuel range. Salespeople told me bizarre things like, the range isn't for sale, the range will be released for sale in 4-6 months, and "nobody wants a duel-fuel range". The shopping experience was made weirder because nobody tried to sell me what they had in stock (Sales 101 boys and girls). Three large appliance stores in the Bay Area kissed off a done deal. Two online stores didn't know the product well, for example, 240V/20Amp, and all they sold me was a lower price, not worth it, buy local. Somehow I found CG Appliance and called, Gloria answered. By this time in the shopping process I simply said "I want to buy a SMEG 30" duel-fuel, please take my money." She laughed and invited me into the store to see the SMEG all-gas version she had in stock. I ordered the duel-fuel range, 50% down, 50% before delivery. Twelve days later Tito and Christian installed the range! Maybe I was just lucky, I don't know, but I had spent a few hours over a two week period and drove to two appliance stores before I called CG. Either way, the SMEG 30" duel fuel is perfect! Save yourself a tremendous amount of BS shopping around because the price is the price and to top it off, the other dealers didn't know very much about the SMEG at all - Gloria did!!!

Local appliance store with helpful staff, and definitely a personal touch. Person I talked to was a little condescending though.Inventory is good with a lot of high end stuff but not many options in the mid range. Did not have anything in my price range that fitted my specs. Ended up finding something that fitted my specs at Home Depot in minutes and installed it myself for a lot cheaper.

The worst shopping experience I’ve had in recent years. If you do not open on Saturday, don’t list Saturday as your store hours. We drove to two stores, Daily City and San Bruno, and found out both store are not opened today (not a holiday). Will definitely never shop in this chain of shop again.

Read their contract closely. They are a third party person in the sales of the appliances. In other words if, for instance, you buy, they install, and installers check just the main function of the unit but an hour later you find ,say one of the burners does not function or the oven fails to heat properly, as it should, CG will not take back or replace with a new one. You will need to schedule a repair with the manufacture. And guess how long that might take? And if they took away your old appliance and charged you a fee and it is still on their truck before dumping, it's gone.

Went to CG appliance to take a look at the washer and dryers. Was greet by Jeff who helped us and answered our questions. Even though I didn't purchase anything, I would highly recommend them for their great customer service.

We just bought our second round of kitchen appliances with CG! After 25 years we needed a refresh. Ruth worked with us and helped us select a new hood and oven. CG installed them very professionally, including modifying a cabinet. There were some supply chain delays but Ruth was proactive, giving us regular updates. She provided excellent customer service. Highly recommend CG!

These guys are AWESOME!! I spent months trying to find a new "Drop in" stove for my home, to no avail. There are none to be found...ANYWHERE! I called CG Appliance and spoke with Jeff Stern. Much to my surprise, he located a stove for me within 24 hours. Stove was delivered without incident. I installed myself, and could not be more pleased. I would highly recommend CG Appliance to all of my friends and family. Jeff is amazing!Thank you.

Can't imagine they do a lot of walk in business. When I walked in there were 4-6 people behinds desk talking to each other or on the phone but no one to look you in the eye or offer to help you.
