I originally visited Autonation in Hayward to finalize my purchase. I have to admit that I left hastily upon learning that I'd have to submit a credit application even though I told the Sales Rep about being pre-approved w/ my CU. He never informed me about the 'backup' contract process, nor did he work on my accessory requests. I was ready to drive that Lunar Rock TRD Off Road Prem off the lot but he left a sour taste in my mouth. Headed to Putnam Toyota soon thereafter and frankly that place felt like a ghost town. I finally went back to City Toyota after all of that and was greeted by Isaac whom was directed by Lawrence, my initial point of contact. I want to thank Lawrence and Isaac for providing excellent and courteous service for my 4Runner purchase. I arrived at 7pm and got out by 830pm with my new ride and I couldn't be happier. From Isaac to Ben at finance, it was exceptional service all around. I hope to purchase from City Toyota in about 5yrs or perhaps less. They're that good!Additionally, I was so happy to hear that if you buy from City Toyota, you're granted a discount, typically within a month, on accessories for your vehicle. I encourage everyone looking to purchase their vehicle to stop by this dealership and give them a shot! You won't be disappointed.

I had a rather disappointing experience dealing with the salesman . I was interested in a vehicle, and he informed me that it was still undergoing inspection and assured me he would notify me once it became available. I even offered to place a deposit to secure it, but unfortunately, he never kept me updated. Despite my attempts to reach out, my email messages were ignored.This experience highlighted a severe lack of communication skills and left me feeling frustrated. I wish he had been more honest and direct with me from the beginning, as it would have saved both of us a lot of time and trouble.

I just got my new rav4 hybrid, it is so fast. I got it in 4 days after I talked to my sales man, Leon Chu. Leon is so friendly and could speak Cantonese. He explained the detail well and offered a great deal. He is worth 5 stars!!!!And why I choose 4 stars but not 5. It is because of the financial guys, total understanding he wants to sell the services, but could be more polite and friendly, especially I am the buyer.

Sam was easy to work with but didn't make a purchase. The used car I was interested in wasn't up to my spec.My family made multiple purchases here pre covid. Buying experience is not the best but with enough haggling, you'll get what you want. Just don't use their service department. Straight up scam, they will upsell an oil change to useless $800 service.

DON'T support City Toyota. They will turn their back on you. If I could I would give a lower review. We bought this truck 5 years ago. I take amazing care of it. Wax 2x a year. Wash every week with top notch cleaning products. Paint starts fading at 4.5 years. I take it back to City Toyota to discuss. A months long situation starts. In the end City Toyota and Toyota Corporate determine that the paint is fading and it is not my fault. However, they will not cover this defect. They move me along. Bad choice. I don't like being brushed aside when I'm not at fault. Campaign Anti City Toyota has begun. DON'T BUY FROM CITY TOYOTA... unless you want to potentially end up in a situation where the paint on your vehicle fades due to a faulty application process by Toyota. Paint these days should not fade within 5 years. I hope you agree. City Toyota thinks this ok. If they think this is ok I'm guessing there are many other problems they won't cover that they should cover. Why spend your hard earned money at an establishment like this. Their are better places with much better customer support. DON'T BUY FROM CITY TOYOTA!!

Very easy to make an appointment to get your car serviced. Went in for a battery change and was in and out within less than 2 hours.There's a waiting area with free coffee and was provided with one snack of my choosing from their cafe.

One of our best new vehicle purchasing experience! As a AAA member, we're entitled to TrueCar special pricing. After reviewing 6 different offers from various Toyota dealers, Leon Chu was able to offer a very competitive price and deliver the vehicle with specific specs we're looking for, without all the other add-ons that I'm not interested in. It did take a while to get the vehicle but Leon stay in touch and kept me updated.And to top it off, Ling (I believe that's her name) the Finance person was a pleasure to work with! This is the first for me. Not your typical dealership finance person trying to squeeze you for your last $, without a smile.I highly recommend this dealership.

I recently had the pleasure of buying a car from City Toyota in Daly City, and I must commend their outstanding customer service. Right from the word go, our salesperson Aida demonstrated exceptional professionalism and dedication. We initially reached out with an interest in a promotion we found online for a Toyota Crown. Unfortunately, the car had already been sold that day, which could have been a huge disappointment. But, Aida, being customer-centric and proactive, liaised with the General Manager and ensured that the promotion I was interested in was honored.In addition to this price consideration, Aida went above and beyond to secure the exact car trim and color we wanted from another dealership. This proactive measure showcased her genuine interest in not only fulfilling a customer's needs but her keen efforts in exceeding them.Our in-person experience at the dealership met the high standard set by our initial phone interaction. Step by step, Aida walked us through a test drive, patiently and comprehensively answering all our questions. In the end, thanks to Aida and City Toyota, we got the best deal for a Toyota Crown; a deal that no other dealership was able to match. I highly recommend City Toyota in Daly City for its exceptional service, customer care, and competitive pricing. I bought a silver 2023 Corolla Hybrid LE on 8/7 (Mon), with Isaac Uy as my salesperson. He guided me through all the documents and the test drive. The out-the-door price was great. While Isaac was a bit pushy when asking me to come ASAP, I'd like to highlight Louis, the financial person (not sure if I'm pronouncing his name right).(1) Louis suggested I pay $1,750 for the warranty at City Toyota when buying my car. Plus, I need to pay $100 each time I bring my car to the Toyota dealership, except Daly City. Since I live 30+ miles away, it's impossible to drive there for issues. I'm unsure why I must pay an extra $100 deductible for the warranty each time. This makes my car buying experience unsatisfying, paying extra EVERY SINGLE TIME I visit Toyota, 10+ miles from home. (I live in Tri-Valley, and there's a closer dealership, but I still pay $100 for the warranty.)(2) Louis didn't provide a list of covered items/options in the warranty. (3) He didn't explain the option of a national warranty. Returning home with 20+ documents, I found NO information about the warranty, like the national warranty. Just a sheet indicating the $100 deductible. Luckily, I hadn't fully paid that day, though I signed the documents. I returned to City Toyota on 8/13 (Sun), paid the rest, and re-signed. That day, I met Ling.I shared my warranty concerns with Ling. Since I'd paid the full amount, documents signed with Louis were invalid. Initially, Ling said I must pay $200 for the national warranty, lasting 8 years. After hearing my situation, Ling extended it to 9 years (including national warranty free). She listed items covered. Ling carefully explained EVERY PAPER before I signed every single doc. Through this, I understood (1) national/local warranty options, (2) the $100 deductible from old documents, (3) free national warranty 1-year extension, and (4) included warranty items.I want to compare salespeople's actions and suggest improvements for future interactions.If you have additional questions, feel free to call me or leave a voicemail.I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Appointment doesn't matter here, as it only means you'll car will be serviced that day. Went in at 12 noon with appointment, and got the car at 5:10pm for an oil change. Even after I was promised the car back between 4-5pm. Everyone is nice, but the service has gone way down since I first came here before COVID after buying my new car. My original review was 5 stars, and I kept giving it a chance over 6 times to see if it would improve. But the wait times with appointments are longer , all the little amenities are gone, and prices are going up. I wouldn't mind the price hike if it was the same service as before. But I'm paying a premium at a dealership and now it's as good as the 10 minute oil change places but it takes 5 hours. I understand they do all the checkups , but it doesn't excuse everything else.This place convince me to learn and do my own oil changes. They currently charge 170 for a basic service which is 30 bucks more than 6 months ago. Not worth paying the pronoun price anymore. I hope to buy my next Toyota through Costco so I don't have to deal with dealership markups I'm seeing. 2 stars because everyone has been nice, and the techs have always serviced my car well enough for me to never have issues. Won't be back .

Do not rely on their website to reserve a car. I got there at the last minute to be told by this guy, Joey, called himself manager, that no car for rent despite that I reserved the car a month ago. No phone call or text to notify me. Very bad customer service. This dealer will not appreciate your business even though I bought a 2020 Camry from them. Stay away from this dealer.
