Some of the best Mediterranean food in the area. I’m always coming back for their lamb shank and chicken plate. The plate of rice they give with each plate is packed with flavor, the meat is fall of the bone, good side salad and of course their dollop of garlic or spicy sauce pairs so good with the meat and rice. They also have a wide range of Mediterranean goods in their market, ranging from spices to snack to canned goods. 10/10 place, also the guys working there are really friendly and helpful

This is the best middle eastern market in the Bay Area. I used to have to drive to Berkeley or downtown SF to get good halal meat but not anymore. This place is in a convenient location near Top of the hill Daly City. They have the freshest, highest quality meat. I love their ground beef, and chicken. I love doing bbq's when watchen sports, and I always get my meats from here, and everytime my guests ask me where I got my meats from because it's the most favorful, juicest, meats. I love to cook middle eastern dishes too, like mansef, and the lamb I get from here is a must! I've gotten so many compliments on my food and it's because this market and the owners care about delivering good quality products to their customers and the community. The manager is always the coolest guy to chat with he cares about his goods and his relations with the community, he often goes out of his way to accommodate and get the customer what he needs. My mother, also loves this place too, and I often bring her here because she likes cooking chicken curry and she likes throwing dinner parties. When you walk in the place is clean and stocked and you get an enjoyable experience. I appreciate this business and what it brings to the community.

Try the mandi rice, it's authentic and delicious. The supermarket is just like any other middle eastern's and they also sell halal meats and chicken.

I’m a big fan of the quality of the stuff they sell at this place. They have a lot of really great imported Middle Eastern/Greek foods that would be hard to find elsewhere. But the people behind the counter are indifferent at best.I would probably come here a lot more often if they were friendlier to their customers or at least customers they don’t know very well already. Anyways, I hope they will consider the fact that running a business means treating your customers as your friends and not with apathy.

NextDoor has shown me how close to home crazy is. But, I haven't deleted it for two reasons: (1) Lost & Found Pets (2) FOOD! While someone was complaining on ND about seeing posts in the Peninsula. If we didn't have the ability to, I would have never known about Halal International and Greek Market, at the top of the hill Daly City. The name is a bit of misnomer tho since new owners have taken over during covid and it's more of a Middle Eastern Market now. In addition to being a small market and butcher shop (halal meats), they also serve hot food every day from 11 am - 7 pm. M E N U Middle Eastern Cuisine: Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, Kebabs, Shawarma (wraps/plates), Chicken Mandi, Lamb Shank and Beef/Lamb Haneeth ($10.99-$19.99). F O O D * Beef Haneeth w/ rice, salad ($19.99): First time I've seen Beef Haneeth on the menu (they didn't have lamb available) so had to give it a try. It's a Yemeni dish of slow-roasted, bone-in beef served over a bed of rice. Generous portion of meaty beef chunks, a tad dry and not as spiced with aromatics as I expected it to be; seemed to be seasoned with just s&p. But, the rice was flavorful and fluffy with nicely separated grains. The cumin, cardamom, and cinnamon came through with each bite. Portion was enough for two meals. Served with a side of Jerusalem salad of crisp cucumbers, tomato, and parsley, and yogurt sauce. Def ask for a side of zhug! The Yemeni green hot sauce packed a lot of punch and brightened up the plate. S E R V I C E All business. With no line, it took about 10 minutes for my order. A M B I A N C E More of takeout place since it's a market but there's a small counter at the window with several stools if you want to dine-in. P A R K I N G Metered street parking. Overall, if you're looking for affordable and generously portioned Middle Eastern Fare (esp Yemeni dishes), Halal International and Greek Market is a solid option in the area!

I needed supplies for a Greek dinner for sixty five people. I was able to get the ingredients here and the staff were great about cutting me samples so I could pick the correct cheese.
