My recent experience with these folks: As mentioned elsewhere, they are only in the office on Wednesdays 9-12. Yep, 3 hours a week!! They will take down your information and say that they will call you back, and never do. This has happened to me every time I've interacted with someone on the phone. Every single time. When you renew prescriptions on Chewy.com, they will contact the vet to get approval via fax. But Skyline will *ignore* these faxes. When I called Skyline to follow up, I was informed that the doctor "sent it in". But he didn't, as confirmed by Chewy. (BTW, who still uses fax in 2022???) I wish I could give zero stars.

I made an appointment for a rabies shot as well as having some lesions checked on my dog. The appointment was made several weeks ago. Unfortunately this clinic is only opened on Wednesdays with VERY limited hours. We were 30 minutes early for the appointment, I called to let them know we had arrived. The receptionist asked us to wait in the car, "it will be a few minutes." 15 minutes after our appointment, no one called for us. I telephoned them again and the woman said it would be at least another 45 minutes before we would be seen, there are 2 clients ahead of us. I reiterated to her that we had an appointment. She said because she has to leave the clinic to get the animals, she was behind. What is the point of an appointment if we were early and had to wait another 45 minutes to be seen? Had I waited another 45 minutes, it would've been 1 hour after the supposed appointment. Her excuse was that because they are only opened once a week, the wait times can be long. The very least she could have done was to let us know they were behind. This place is pathetic. They are quick to charge you a fee if you do not show up for an appointment. I am searching for a new vet with decent business hours. Let's face it, there are many pets out there, being opened 1 day a week with limited hours is ludicrous.

This place has caused my family a whole lot of grief. We took our 8 month old puppy here because she wasn't eating, barely drinking water and vomiting for 3 days. The vet did a physical exam and informed us that everything was fine and asked if we were planning to spay her. We said, eventually, so he recommended that we do some blood work and if everything is normal he can spay her. We trusted in the vet and went with his recommendation. When I picked her up after surgery she had no cone to prevent from licking her wound. We were told she didn't need it unless she was picking at it. I thought, ok I'll just buy one at petsmart, no big deal. I asked if she was prescribed any pain meds and was told it wasn't needed. I thought that was odd. The next day she still wasn't eating and completely stopped drinking water. On the second day I was able to get her to eat a little bit, which she vomited. At that point we needed a second opinion. We went to another vet in Daly City where they listened to our concerns did every test possible, including an X-ray, ultrasound and checked her pancreas--they even provided pain meds for the spay--that's where we determined that she had an obstruction in her intestine. We had to do emergency surgery, but we had spent so much money on all the tests, the vet visits, the SPAY! Unfortunately, we ran out of funds to have her surgery at an actual hospital, so we had no choice but to do it at the clinic. We took her home after the surgery and was supposed to go back the next day to put her on the IV. She was having trouble breathing when we got home so we rushed her to BluePearl where she passed. Our poor pup had endured so much pain prior to her death and it crushes me to know that the vet here could have been the one to save her life, if he had just listened. I have so much regret bringing her here. This was a lot, but I want people to know the type of care they would be receiving if they brought their pets here. We have also removed our older dog from the care of Skyline Pet Hospital. They used to be good when they were located by Skyline, I don't know what happened.

If you want your precious pet to die, bring it here. My friend's dog just die because of negligence of this place. She was a puppy who hadn't eaten for weeks and instead of getting an x ray the vet said nothing is wrong and suggested to perform a spay surgery so they can check her dental - killing two birds with one stone for their revenues concern. Friend took puppy to another vet and did an X-ray - saw obstruction - required an immediate surgery... the dog die after. Are you guys even licensed? I don't know ... but why would you perform a spay surgery when the dog is already sick and hasn't eaten for weeks? and not doing an X-ray. I am mad beyond words. Crooks and shame on you. If you are sick of doing your job and open only 3 days - please close your clinics and stop killing pets. Do something else for the pets' parents sakes.

This place is GREAT!! I just moved to the area with my two dogs. One of them had a major surgery before I moved and needed to have her staples removed. I knew I couldn't do that my self so I started my search for a new vet. I called at the very least 15 different vets. I explained what I needed and that I was looking for a new vet for my dogs everytime I was told sorry we have no openings until September or October! Even just to have her staples removed? I was still told sorry ?. Then I found Sktline pet hospital after explaining my situation Anna at the front desk told me they could fit me in on Thursday. Because of new protocol she said to call her when I got there and they would come out side with the nessary paper work and remove her staples. I got there and followed procedure. After a little wait she came to pick up the paperwork and take the dog but told me that this was their surgery day and could I leave her and come back in a few hour. Of corse I was do happy that they could remove the staples. But when she saw the dog she asked me to wait just a sec she wanted the Dr to see her first. So out came the dr he took one look at Lily's (my dog) and said "OH..... no troble stay right there this will only take a few minutes". Less then 4 minutes when by and out came Lily tail wagging and comfortable. He gave her ack to me and said she had healed very well. When I ask what I owed he said NOTHING!! because he felt bad that I had waited. NEVER EVER have I had a vet not charge me for services rendered. This will be my new vet for my dogs. Kindness compassion and knowledgeable.

Worst place ever dont take your animal here. Sad that I used this place for all my animals NEVER again. Yesterday my 12 year old dog had a major Seizure. crying not knowing what to do i grabbed my dog rushed over to the vet the ladies that open the door were very nice, they said they would get the vet hes about to do surgery but see what they can do. This long hair guy walks up didnt get his name looks over and my dog and says there's nothing I can do im about to do surgery, just send them to the emergency. My poor sister is standing there holding my helpless dog in crying my eyes out and this vet was So cold hearted no sympathy or comfort at all. I would never let someone like him ever care for my animals. I ended up at a amazing vet in burlingame that was able to help me put my dog to sleep. Im glad she didn't take her last breath at this place. If you want a vet so heartless this is the place.

There are no words that can describe how appalling this place is. I have 2 cats and had a small dog, all of them elderly. I trusted Dr. Rich to take care of their medical needs, but when my dog was deathly ill and had to be euthanized, Dr. Rich was not available (during the day) and did not return my calls until four days later, four days too late. When I took one of my cats to a different vet after Dr. Rich left the practice, the hospital refused multiple attempts to send my cat's records over, later claiming they had done so. They never did. My other cat, Ming, had recently been treated by Dr. Rich, who prescribed subcutaneous fluids and a specialized diet, for which you need a prescription. When I tried to replenish his supplies, Skyline refused to authorize the order, even though Ming had last been seen there less than 3 months ago. I had not moved Ming to the new vet, but Skyline said they had closed his file and would not okay the order. Now the new vet has no records and I have no way of replenishing Ming's food and fluids. When I told Skyline that this is placing an 18 year-old cat in jeopardy, the woman on the phone laughed at me. If you care about your pet/s, I would urge you to avoid this place.

Bad vet. I have to double-check all of his advice and then not follow half of it. He has told me some things that are blatantly against industry best practices, like recommending that I spay my female dog during her heat. Inconsistent hours. They always overbook and ask people to sit with their pets in their cars for 30-60 minutes. They don't pick up the phone very frequently, and their voicemail is always full. They don't let people come into their building, so you can't describe what is going on with your pet during the actual visit, only a brief chat with the vet before/after. They say this is due to Covid, but they don't even wear masks half the time. The receptionist is so incredibly rude. Wanted to charge me for printing an invoice for insurance purposes. Ridiculous. I found another vet through a recommendation from a neighbor. So much better! Will never come back here. Good luck, I hope you improve.

I have bringing in my dog here for about 5 years every since he was a puppy and had great service. The doctors here are super nice and helpful. But since they moved to the new location things have been completely opposite. My recent experiences with Skyline Pet Hospital in the last 6 weeks have been horrible. I totally understand with Covid going on things are different and if it was one situation I can chalk that up to a one off event. Their hours are not accurate. There are days where they are not open. Once again I'm okay with that but their voicemail is always full and there is no way to contact them. My dog recently had a bout of vomiting and diarrhea, but it was on the fence if he needed to go to emergency care. I called Wed and their voicemail was full. I then sent them em email to inquire. Next day ended up taking my dog to emergency care. Its Tuesday now and I still have not heard back from them. We needed to board our pets so brought them to our usual place and realized our new cats needed vaccinations. Which I was upset since I literally just brought them to Skyline Pet Hospital about a month earlier and specifically told them that please give them whatever they need since this was my first time owning a cat. Same thing... I called and voicemail is full. I ended up taking them somewhere else. Im not a needy or impatient person however I feel if I can never get a hold of my vet its time to go somewhere else. Its really sad... I did like this place but the service took a nosedive.

My dog Peanut was a stray before she came home with me and this was the first veterinary clinic that I went to. Every time I had an appointment I would have to wait an hour to an hour and a half to be attended, but it was not a big deal because they were very nice. But one day I had an appointment to get a health certificate to travel and they took once again an hour to come and see me. After, the lady asked what exactly has to be on the report because if they found ticks then they could possibly euthanize her. And she scared me terribly, when my mother reassured me that they would not do that going into Mexico. She also handed me papers to read about because she didn’t know what peanut needed. I think they should be informed of what is needed on a health certificate and not scare owners without the right information. She then said that they would see if they could attend her bc they had people waiting. I had to wait 2 hours to even have someone come talk to me. I told her they had to bring her in especially for the wait I had. The vet also asked me how she injured her eye when she has been that way since I got her. And they didn’t have a record on it???? I had to immediately take her to an eye specialist. Because I had trusted them for 6 months. My pet means everything to me, and they need to do better.
