If you don't want to join a regular gym and want some guidance on strength training and a supportive community look no further! I've been working out here pretty consistently over a year. It's long overdue to write a review. The strength camp gym been nothing but amazing for me. Mostly because of community and coaches. I increased my strength and gained substantial amount of muscle since I joined. It's fun, always feel great after a workout, been a life-saving having those workouts in my daily routine. You just show up the rest assured. Also love that this gym is staying away from politics of any sorts. way to go!

What a disappointment…I was searching for a gym that offers classes and came across Strength Camp SF online with great reviews. So since they don’t publish their prices and facility details on their website I contacted them via their site. I’ve received a text from Eric saying that I can ask questions via text and they will answer; then I received an email from Eric again saying they will get back to me… this was Saturday morning…. I haven’t heard anything from them until Tuesday when I CALLED them… after 3 calls during the day in different times, finally Eric (again - seems like he is the only person works there) answered; I introduced myself and told him that I texted and sent an email to him about pricing their services… he replied “oh yeah! You had BUNCH OF QUESTIONS “ !!! I am sorry for being an inconvenience for you by asking BASIC questions…for some reason They don’t publish their prices and don’t respond to inquiries in professional manners, so very quickly he told me the prices ($200+/month) and ($600+ for 6 week Challange), I thanked him and we hung up… - every established and serious gym has their prices published or responded within an hour but this place- this place has ZERO professionalism and respect to their potential customers. There are so many other gyms in the city that put customers first and care… spend your hard earned money in another gym…

Great studio! Love the environment in this gym, good vibes all around, an awesome group of people to workout with (I attended the 7pm class) and a great, enthusiastic trainer who led our workout (big thanks, Janet!) Wednesdays are full body conditioning and, boy, did I feel the burn. For one entire hour Janet had about 10 different workouts for us to do on rotation which incorporated medicine balls, flutter kicks, burpees, resistance bands, squat jumps, weighted ropes, kettle bells, and more, muuuch more! Hoping to return to Strength Camp again soon, especially for the six-week transformation once I'm able to do so.UPDATE: I had to deduct one star for the false advertisement for the six week full body transformation. I thought it was a misunderstanding on my part after I was informed by the gym that the transformation was $699 for six weeks but continued to see advertisements on both Instagram and Facebook for a FREE six week full body transformation. It's upsetting that this is what I thought I had signed up for when clicking "SIGN UP" on the ad only to have been allowed one free class and then presented with pricing for memberships as well as a $699 fee for the six week transformation. This is not right. This advertisement lacks honesty and integrity.

Worked out at Strength Camp for three months before I moved to NY and have nothing but great things to say about the coaches Eric and Kobe. Like many others quarantine was taking a toll on my physical and mental health, but since working out here and being around the energy of the other members I have been getting my life back on track. (Cliche but true Imao) Both guys are super approachable and attentive to helping all the members get stronger and achieve better technique and form in a variety of workouts.

It's about time that I write my review. I signed up in September 2022 with no experience of weight lifting. Background: From 2017-2019, I use to be a runner and I lost weight the unhealthy way (running long distance, counting calories, and starving myself). I've gone to the gyms to use their treadmill and machines, and I've only did workouts that were easy to me. Fast forward to 2022, I gained 20lbs from quarantine and I've tried different classes like cycling, HIIT...etc., but I got over it pretty quickly. I found Strength Camp on Yelp and after 2 months of contemplating, I went to my first class. It was the best decision ever! I was intimidated at first, because I've never used a barbell before nor done most of the workouts. I didn't want to embarrass myself; however, the coaches are very friendly, approachable, and give really great advice. Everyone is immensely supportive and understanding that you're on own journey. My weekdays would always be boring with same routine, where I felt unmotivated to do anything. But now, I look forward to my weekdays! My abs/core feels strong for the first time! I can get up without struggling. I use to have calf pains when I walk/run, but I don't struggle as much. I was able to incorporate healthy habits and enjoy lifting. I would have low self-esteem from the weight gain, but now I feel confident with my body. I had to make a decision to move elsewhere and this gym is one of the reasons I don't want to leave. A big shoutouts to the coaches! TY!

Finally writing a review, since I've been going here for a year! I've always lifted and worked out at commercial gyms and followed youtube programs. I made progress, but it was easy to take long breaks in between from either laziness and the gym membership cost wasn't too bad.Fast forward to moving back to the Bay and searching for a gym somewhere close to my house. I tried Strength Camp since I got an IG ad, and took a trial class and really enjoyed it. My deadlift form was booty, and the coaches helped me correct it. I've made a lot gains in all my compound lifts the last year, and the speed/cardio sessions at the end force me to get my heart rate up that I normally wouldn't do at a commercial gym.I'm probably the strongest and in the best shape I've been in my life since joining, and the community is dope! The vibe isn't intimidating and everyone is pretty welcoming and friendly. Also the coaches don't shame me for my weekend drinking which is a plus :')

This is a great community of coaches and athletes who want to get stronger and get fit. If you're new to weightlifting or have never used a barbell before, no worries because the coaches will walk you through every step of the way. I've been coming here for the last six months, have learned a lot, and definitely feel stronger than ever. Shoutout to all the amazing coaches: Janet, Stephen, Andy, Kobe, and Eric...thank you!!

I started walking because I knew i needed to lose weight. One day I walked by Strength Camp and decided to schedule a trial. After my first day, I can tell the coaches knew what they were doing and signed up for a month. Coach Kobe took us through the full warmup and showed me how to deadlift keeping my back straight so i don’t hurt it. Just over 1 year later, I lost over 35 pounds, got a whole lot stronger overall - I even competed in my first novice strongman competition this year! The classes and community really help my mental too. I would recommend checking out this gym to anybody that wants to lose weight, or wants to get started working out, or even if you’ve worked out before it’ll be a great push and you might learn something from the instruction.

They are running a scam. Advertising a 6 weeks free strength training program in exchange for marketing permissions. The reality is it’s a bait and switch - they ask for $600 up front and claim to reimburse you once you meet certain biometric goals.I made the commute down to Daly City to meet with coach Eric today. He is real, as is the gym, and his other classes are probably legitimate, but he should (and does) know better than his clearly false advertising - he actually beat me to the punchline, saying: “I understand if you feel it’s a scam.” Yes, I feel it’s a scam because it is one.

2 month review update: Best decision of 2022! I am down 8 pounds!I am more than happy to have joined Strength camp and would highly recommend the place to everyone2 week review: It's been two weeks since I joined and I've been going about 3 days a week. There are few things that Strength camp does really well:- All the trainers are extremely invested in you, they will guide you through every step and make sure you don't injure youself and they will also push you to go heavy and stimulate growth- The exercises are challenging and make you sweat, having a group class gives you the motivation to follow through- the gym and equipment is pristine, extremely well maintained and well stocked

Strength Camp is by far the most easy to follow and productive fitness routine I have ever experienced. I have had personal trainers, I've used self-led apps and books, I've even worked in a gym and still struggled to feel confident in what I was doing and couldn't maintain the motivation to stick with it.The format of the classes, Structure - Strength - Speed, over 60-mins, ensures that I'm warmed up, I'm pushing myself while learning how to exercise properly (there's that confidence I've been missing), and I leave class feeling satisfied and stoked to do it again tomorrow (Motivation)! Then there's the people! There's a good social camaraderie among my classmates, I've never felt crowded, and the trainers are a great balance of coach, friend, and specialized instructor. All of the above means it's the most productive 60-mins. of my day, both physically and mentally, and time flies-by almost too quickly, honestly! It goes by so quickly compared to working out on my own where I was struggling to fill even 30-mins. with exercise. In the 4-weeks that I've been going thus far, I see and feel the results of my efforts and I am more excited for my fitness routine than I've ever been before.Highly recommend, two-thumbs way up!! Thank you Strength Camp.
