“A bit clustered in the store. Somewhat challenging to organize. Good name brand quality pants and shirts at great prices. Told that Tuesday discount day for seniors. Not sure of color tag day discounts. Street parking and lot parking I think by Walgreens. Staff is friendly and customer oriented.”

“This is my favorite goodwill in SF. Not only do I always find a treasure the people are amazing humans. Unknowingly I dropped a family heirloom ring while shopping. Terrified when I realized and got home I called , and the women here say it and were holding it for me. Super grateful for their honesty and help.”

“Excellent place for getting souvenirs, there are couple stores in the area... I would recommend go visit all of them and see first the options, there are places with the same things and some others with better options and better prices. Overall here is a good option more taking in court it's not closed early”

“I love this store- very sweet staff and good stuff but here's the thing ...I've now come here twice when they are supposed to be open according to their posted hours and they're not open. So I have come all the way across town to pick up a wish order and look around and they're not open. :(”

“Although, the program didn’t work out for me due to my need for dual diagnosis, I still think it’s a great program. The staff are caring and patient. There are a lot of rules with strict consequences but it’ll help provide the structure and discipline you need. The work program can be a bit overwhelming but it’ll take time to get used to. You wake up at 5am weekdays and 6am on weekends. There is 8 hour shifts/5days a week in which you receive a small gratuity. The food is wonderful and the home is beautiful, well kept and clean. You are required to sign over your EBT benefits to them but they provide plenty of good food and you’ll easily gain healthy weight in no time. Shoutout to Courtney for being so patient and kind and Sabrina as well. The Filipino woman that answers the phone is extremely judgmental and rude. She questioned whether I was “real woman” because my chest is very small. Horrible feeling and it definitely didn’t give me a great start to things at all. They provide transportation to and from work and well as lunches you pack yourself at the house. You’re not allowed to smoke at work but get plenty of free time to smoke at the house. The showers/bathrooms are awesome. Bed are comfy and blankets nice and warm. It’s two people to a room but it’s spacious with plenty of storage. Curfew is 9 and lights out at 10pm. You get coffee in the morning and at work. There are plenty of books and movies to pass the time. Most clients or “beneficiaries” are court ordered. My only hang up is that it isn’t dual diagnosis so there is no mental health services at all and that religion is forced on you from the beginning. You must dress, act, sit and follow all of the captains commands to a T or there will be consequences. If you don’t mind the religious aspect then overall it’s a wonderful program. They have aftercare resources once you graduate as well. Thank you for my time there! I was difficult without the mental health resources but still think very highly of them. They made sure I was taken care of and even provided a jacket when I left. You’ll get plenty of good clothes while you are there that you return if you don’t graduate. Tons of snacks! Only other thing is that they could possible cut down the shifts to 5 hours in order to allow for meetings and classes from more trained professionals without taking away from the limited free time after work. You will be closely monitored but lead well by your peer mentor for the first 30 days. Captain is a bit intense kind of with expectations but is still kind and caring”

“The donation process was absolutely easy for us. There is a 15 min parking in front of the store. You park, let the staff know what furniture/item you’re donating & they will check the items to make sure everything is in good condition.”

“OMG! In early April I dropped my wallet inside of this Goodwill store!

Unbelievably, another customer found it on the floor and turned it in to Jackie at the register.

Jackie then called my AAA insurance card in an effort to track me down, as my DL is from out of state. Jacky worked with the AAA agent to locate and contact me on her behalf, which he did 2x!!!

After a few days of being in a panic I received a call notifying me that my wallet had been found.

To my utter surprise, upon my arrival to the store, Jackie knew exactly who I was and I was easily able to recover my wallet (completely in tact with the $300 cash inside) by answering some qualifying questions!

Jackie went above and beyond to track me down and to make sure my wallet was returned to me. I’m eternally grateful.

When you shop here..ask for her and tell her she’s awesome!

The Haight Ashbury is the best neighborhood in SF! ?”

“This is a great place for slightly used clothing and home goods. Lots of choices nicely displayed. They also made it very easy to donate with parking lot in the back for easy drop off.”

“I always find gems here! This time, it was a like-new Princess Polly crop top and some fun costume items. Diana is so sweet - she let me take the items out of the package to make sure the sensor hadn't made any holes and even offered to check the back for un-sensored items. I'm looking forward to selling here - hopefully will have a great experience with that, too!”

“The throat store part is alright. It suffers from the same problem all thrift stores in trendy areas have: hipsters pick through it constantly so it's all just junk. However, the donation part is great. You can drop any amount of clothes or appliances or furniture and they'll accept it. We dropped off 5 bags of clothes and it took us 30 seconds. They DO NOT accept rugs, according to the guy working there.Donation center is on 26th, next to formerly Wild Pepper. Great for clothes donations.”

“I took my teenage grandchildren here during vacation in Pacifica and ended up going back again before we left. One of the best consignment/used clothing stores we have ever found. Huge selection for younger adults and teens but I found a few things also. Converse, Urban Outfitters, anime, graphic tees, jackets, tons of jeans and shorts!Friendly helpful waitstaff especially Madison, Kira and Ali.Going back again soon......worth a trip across the bay.”

“This goodwill store is almost like a boutique store in a way that they have really nice selections of cute brand names clothes for both men and women at rather higher price than typical thrifty store.
I’ve found pretty high quality dresses, sweater for myself and linen shirt for my husband that might be perfect for summer vacation.

I am so happy to have found this place where you can get brand names clothes like madewell , Zara , anthropology for better price.

I am taking one star out because they do not have fitting room, 7 days of refund period with store credit only .”

“Its a good place to drop off your old clothes. The staff took care of everything. But be beware there parking lot is really small and fills up. I drop off some donations and I tried to back out and the other people in the lot wouldn't back up there car when i tried to leave. I know this is not salvation army fault for having a small lot But just want people to be aware of this before parking in There for a drop off”

“Wonderful thrift store just around the corner from 24th St station. I came in to sell and the employees were super nice. They carefully folded the clothes they didn’t take back into my tote bag and were very polite in explaining why. Stick to this Buffalo, avoid the one in the panhandle.”

“SUMMARY: Solid 4/5 I love the convenience of this little thrift shop along Grand Avenue. Starbucks and all the food places are along Grand, so whenever I'm planning on getting a coffee or lunch in the area I always feel compelled to stop by and skim the racks. I've found a variety of gems all for very reasonable prices (all under $10, with most of my purchases being $5): Topshop cozy sweater, leather heels and loafers, Express slacks, Joe jeans, and more. TIP: while they have a lovely shop and collection on the street level, don't forget to make your way to their basement level for even better deals.”

“I really enjoy going to this location because of the amount of items that they have inside and I also enjoy being at this location because it’s in my neighborhood.”

“The Goodwill Outlets are always a bargain hunter's dream! Since they charge by the pound, even if you only find one or two things, its always worthwhile. Visted on a Thursday and it was surprisinly quiet! I usually go to the one in Oakland which is much busier.Only 4 stars because, even though they clearly have a huge amount of inventory, they don't rotate the bins very often. I don't know why they don't rotate once an hour or so, instead of dragging it out for over 2 hours! Maybe it was short staffed today?Parking was easier than expected! It's street parking for 2 hours but it was quite easy to move the car to the other side of the street. And yeah, definitely bring your own bags!”

“I just dropped some things off at the Burlingame Good Will. I am so grateful to be able to donate some things and have them go to good use. The people there are so helpful and doing such a good job. They help both us the donators and those who purchase our donations. They often help me get things from the car, help sort them and are really knowledgeable about where to put things. Kudos to all the helpers at Burlingame Goodwill. Thank you for everything you do.”

“I cannot say enough nice things about the new store manager Nicole. I was there earlier this morning, and found my mothers place settings of China, ask if she had any more in the back, she was kind enough to look, and I was able to surprise my mother with 6 More New Pl. settings to her China. Denise is absolutely awesome. Highly recommend this thrift store.”

“Love the location, the street is filled with other thrift stores so you can knock out all your shopping in one go. The clothes here are all super cute and well curated. Prices are more expensive than goodwill but cheaper than a lot of other places on the street (about $15-25 for most items). Plus the changing rooms were open which was awesome!”
