The cashiers at this Walgreens location are rude. The worst service you can get. They rudely kept telling people to 'form one line on one side of the aisle' when they didn't have a sign/ indication for it and when suggested to put a sign, the look of disgust was amazing.

Horrible customer service in pharmacy. Tried to get prescription filled through workers comp. they were sending to wrong dept. & when we tried to call them to get them the correct information we were transferred multiple times, eventually reaching the rudest human on the planet. Person we were talking to put us on hold, didnt say she was transferring to another person, when she picked up my daughter told her we were on hold for another person and she says you called me,how am i supposed to help you if you dont say what you want? She explains whats happening and this rude manager keeps telling her how they cant change anything(like to the right phone number) she was rude, terse and condescending and when my daughter told her she didnt need to be so rude and condescending she was worse, she then said they would not fill my daughter's prescription and shed have to go elsewhere. I called back to complain and turns out shes the pharmacy manager and she told a lot of lies about how my daughter was too upset and medicated to understand

This is the Walgreens I shop at most of the time, located in the Westlake shopping center, so, conveniently located where I do most of my basic shopping in the evenings and usually stop here and Target and sometimes at the Trader Joes, after making my daily stop at Safeway. The store itself is fine and one of the bigger Walgreens stores with more items than a Walgreens in the city. The staff are generally nice, especially Trang who has a super personality and always goes out her way to say nice things and please her regular customers who check out in the cosmetics register. The shoplifting problem in this area is amongst the worst at this store and is frustrating to watch. Some of the prices are exorbitant compared to other stores and Amazon, but the one thing that really bugs me about this store is that the Cashiers almost never pay attention to when a very long line forms, without calling for an IC3! that and the fact that they imposed this 'one line' rule where everyone is to line up somewhere between check stands one and two and even put up a sign that says "One line starts here" but have since removed it, but the cashiers don't pay enough attention to their own rule and there is no consistency on that! I don't even know how this rule is supposed to benefit anyone or what purpose it serves; just confuses people and some people even get into arguments over who is next in line.

Let's start with what I like: Open 24 hours However, this is one of the worst places to have your doctor send a prescription. There's usually a shortage of pharmacists, and a long line ensues, with only one functioning counter that tries to service several patients. If you need a consultation after pickup, good luck, as there is another line and often the pharmacist isn't around, so be prepared to wait in front of an empty window. I have empathy for the employees, as they stated they are short staffed, but that's a problem for the corporation to solve. Making customers wait 30 mins in line, only to tell them their prescription isn't ready, and then to stand in the line again is a colossal waste of everyone's time. What we need is a better check-in and pick-up system that uses technology (a phone or a kiosk). To be fair, the overworked, under appreciated employees are nice, and struggling because of Walgreens corporations cost-focussed mismanaged HR priorities.

I pressed the service bell and within a minute a staff member came to assist me with the medicine in the window. Thank you very much. Also, their beverage cabinet is not open, which saves electricity, but you can see what products are inside through the screen without opening it. Very smart! And there are many vitamins that have discounts and coupons. And it is open 24 hours, thank you for providing convenient service!
Thank you to the lady who opened the cold /flu medicine window for us today!Happy new year.

I wish I could give negative 100 stars! 1. They gave me the wrong prescription and then when I brought it back they acted like I was lying. Why would I lie about birth control pills? If they made this mistake with me I’m sure there are many more mistakes some much more serious than the wrong does of birth control pills! Not only that but they are beyond rude!

We went to Walgreens to pick up medicine about one hour ago. We found the people here are very friendly, working hard and efficiently. In particular, Grace, Bernard and Tran etc are very warm, responsible and very patient. We really appreciate their excellent service.

Would it not make sense to first see if you actually have the medication before you make a customer jump through a series of time-consuming insurance hoops? Not at Walgreens. Each time I visit Walgreens at Westlake they figure out a new and improved way of wasting an hour or more of my time. That takes real talent. Don’t think for one second that you’ll be saving time because this Walgreens is open 24 hours. Whether it’s 8am on a Sunday or 5pm on a Wednesday, this staff is always incompetent and ready to not serve you. UPDATE: It’s not their fault. Like everyone else, Walgreens has consciously cut back on their staff to try and make more profit. It’s just pure greed, and it’s come at the expense of employee sanity and customer convenience. The CEO is Tim Wentworth. If every Walgreens customer began sending him and every member of the board daily emails and letters to both their homes and offices it might make their life inconvenient as well.

Horrible! Pharmacist Saba - most incompetent egomaniac pharmacist ever! Absolutely incredible! Went in person, was given wrong medication after having verified that it was available for pick up. I get home and have to call back no less that 12 times to get them to help but to no avail - first doesn't know what medication should be available, then doesn't let me talk to tech who had just told me name of medication; I have to call back to speak to the store manager to let me talk to the tech to get the name of the medication; the tech is afraid to talk to me because she is intimidated by pharmacist who still insists she knows best what is going on. Finally the tech gives the name of medication, then transfers to pharmacist who hangs up on me. Again have to call back the store manager to get me to pharmacy because they are not picking up. Finally pharmacist Saba attempts to process medication but then says her computer is too slow and that I should call in the morning and hangs up. Again, I have to ask store manager to go help pharmacist Saba with the computer, she then again hangs up on me. And, same process repeats several times- finally computer processed and says she'll check if medication is in stock (which had previously been verified was in stock and ready for me to pick up - and again pharmacist Saba hangs up on me. I call yet again and go through store manager because Saba is not picking up in pharmacy or pick up and hanging up. Now pharmacist Saba says they don't have medication in stock. It's been more than two hours - never in my life have I ever experienced such outright malicious incompetence! Absolutely horrifying!

Wish I can give this pharmacy what it really deserves...ZERO STARS!ABSOLUTELY, WITHOUT A DOUBT, ONE OF THE WORST PHARMACY'S IN CALIFORNIA.ALWAYS A VERY LONG LINE, UNDERSTAFFED, AND INCOMPETENT CASHIERS!!!I had all of my prescriptions transferred over to another pharmacy but unfortunately my Dr didn't read the notes and sent 2 to the Westlake Walgreens. After waiting itinerary for a half-hour (due to only one cashier) I was told the Rx wasn't ready and would take another ½ hour to 45 minutes.Never again will I give that improperly managed store another hard earned dime.I won't add the expletives but you can be assured I wanted to.

I’ve been coming to this Walgreens for at least 30 years and I have never imagined being treated the way I was. My dogs vet wrote a prescription and asked me to please head to Walgreens to pick up since I was headed out of town. I arrived at this Walgreens and was greeted by a very rude pharmacist. They pharmacist review the prescription from the vet and told me she could not honor the prescription because the signature was different from the writing(of course print and handwriting is different). The pharmacist then explained to me the doctors signature is in blue and the writing is in black, someone else wrote this. I asked the lady, how do you know the doctor did not write this? Do you have a degree in calligraphy? May you please call the doctor? Apprehensively, the pharmacist agree to call the doctor who not only verified he wrote the note, but also explained he’s never experienced this. The pharmacist then looked at me and explained to the doctor, I would have to return to the vet to retrieve a new prescription with the doctor’s signature in black. The doctor offered to fax or email the prescription, but the pharmacist would not accept it.Once the pharmacist got off the phone, I asked the pharmacist to please check if she has any of the pills in stock and or if any other Walgreens does? The pharmacist told me she could not do this. When I question why, she then said oh no, I can call and check but it will take me a while. As I was waiting for the pharmacist to contract other pharmacy’s, I noticed she continued helping other customer. When I asked the pharmacist, May I have an update she said oh I’m waiting. The pharmacist then walked away and came back and then said no other locations are open.I took this opportunity to inform the pharmacist that I’ve been helped here before with the exact same prescription and I am very disappointed. I explained to the pharmacist, the first time I came to pick up a prescription was when I was in a suit. I told the pharmacist because I am in a sweatsuit with my natural hair out I feel as if I am being judge. The pharmacist told me I was accusing her of being raciest. I explained to the pharmacist, this is not what I am saying however since you’re pointing it out, yes I feel this way. I explained to the pharmacist I work to hard to be question and or accused of writing a false prescription. I explained to the pharmacists, you’ve spoken with and called the doctor however you are still making me return to the vet to retrieve another note because the doctors signature in your eyes did not match his writing in print. Further more, you feel as if the note is fake because the doctor signed his signature in blue and not black. I explained to the pharmacist, it is people like her who continue to take the country backwards and she needs to think of the impact she is having on others. As I was walking away, the pharmacist made sure to tell me, once you switch prescription be sure to give the other prescription back to the doctor. Also, even when you do come back, I only have 10 pills in stock at the moment.Instead of responding, I walked away and just shook my head. The amount of misery this person is sad. I will be reporting the pharmacist to the store manager, general manager and regional manager. Absolutely no one deserves to be treated this way.

Walgreens is suppose to be open 24/7! Don't be fooled. Last night, I had trying meds for my post op pain control but I could get any person to answer the phones. I was in the hospital trying to assure, I have the meds for severe pain. I was on "hold", for the 2 customers ahead for 25 mins. I was then told they were 24/7 closing early! This is not the first time that this 24/7!closes early. I called several times to get updates from anyone but again the "hold time for 1 customer ahead" were absurd! Finally I get a real person, can't give me any information about the "real pharmacy hours today". Now, at home, I am so stressed that my son in law waiting for the prescription that was sent at 6 and is still not done at 9:30. He is told to wait or he will not be able to go the meds. 9:50 he is told that they can not release to him. I sent the photos of the Home Orders Post Op care. They said they are closing at 10 pm. I don't what my son in law, the medication were release to him. Customer service at this location has never been great but the 24/7 has kept me as a customer. I gave 2 stars because a previous time, a female was kind that to rush a home delivery of meds that were supposed to have picked up. If you have to use this Walgreen WestLake location, VERIFY THE OPEN HOUR! Also, their in store wait line is horrible. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS WALGREENS LOCATION. I hope this review spares you stress

This is for the pharmacy ONLY. Rude customer service. The pharmacist or lady answering the phone was not helpful and had a condescending tone when asked about transferring meds to their location. It's no one's fault you're behind on filling prescriptions. They need to hire better employees and management to run this pharmacy. There is ALWAYS a long wait time for medication, refills, and standing in line!
