I am 16 years old my name is Sophia Angel and today my and my dad were supposed to come pick up our new lab mix with pitbull puppy sky. We were very exited and happy to bring our new pup home. My dad was told to fill out a adoption application which took him about 2 hours to do and send a video of our entire house to show where the pup would be staying, my dad did so and talked with the company to get everything figured out. They wanted to charge us an additional $500 as well abunch of fees which were ALREADY PAID. we were told people need to come and look at our house to see where the puppy was going to stay after we already sent a video of our ENTIRE home. We have a 2 story home with a huge backyard set up everything we needed to take our pup home, food, playpin, toys, bed etc. As we were pulling up to get our pup one of their staffs were there taking the dog from us claiming another family wanted to see her after we already filled out the application, sent the video, paid and got approved. I strongly believe this “non profit organization” dose not care about the animals, they are very unprofessional and do not know how to do mange animals or customers time. We’ve left several messages, and not once did they answer the phone when we called. I went home crying and my day was ruined overall. Sky was supposed to be my early graduation gift after we’ve spent several years searching to find the perfect dog and thought we did. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This is a terrible company run by terrible humans all hiding under the guise of being an animal rescue. Toni is completely unprofessional, as well as Catherine. These people communicate so poorly even though I provided complete transparency in who I was what I do and how the dog would be cared for. Yet, they give me the run around for days claiming they are "busy". Yes REAL rescues are busy bc their top priority is getting dogs into loving homes. This is clearly not the case here. I read some of the other reviews and it looks like not just me that has a problem with this place.
FRAUDULENT BUSINESS. READ THE 1 STAR REVIEWS. 5 STARS ARE FAKE/PAID/FRIENDS. IT IS NOT EVEN A REAL COMPANY. READ UP ON THIS LADY TONI SHE IS A BAD DOG

Snowee-Belle has been such a Blessing to our family!Shawna, Toni and Rosie were so helpful and their love for their animals is so apparent. Amazing volunteers at A Wish For Animals. Hurley is perfect for our family and we couldn’t be happier with her quirky, playful and loving demeanor. Even though she may have been moved between foster homes before adoption it’s clear she was given all the love and support she needed before she landed with us! Thank you to Tony and Shannon and the rest of the hardworking volunteers and foster parents who helped save her, Hurley is a gem. Everyone at this rescue is incredible!! I am so grateful for the education they provide to adopters regarding holistic nutrition, medicine, steps to take with your new pup, and vaccines necessary. Thank you for matching me with my beautiful boy, now named Písco. He was just 8 weeks old when I adopted him at his foster home via A Wish for Animals, and I have stayed in touch with his siblings who were adopted locally as well. They were very thorough with the adoption and interview process which I loved- that's what all shelters & rescues need to do!! I was so relieved to find they had been giving him home cooked meals from DAY 1, which made the transition to live with me much smoother as I already cook for my pups. He is the most amazing Blue Heeler mix (we got a DNA test done). Excited to grow with him & continue training and traveling with him.

A wish for animals really tries to save as many deserving doggies as possible! They are great about making sure the dog is a good fit with your family! I have adopted two of my dogs from here.

A wish For Animals truly cares about the health and welfare of all animals. This organization pulls tons of sick, disabled and or injured dogs from Shelters near and far. AWFA dedicates themselves to nursing these babies back to health with their healing hands. They are experts at treating Parvo and distemper and have saved countless lives. They also help other local rescues care for their sick ones. AWFA saves dogs that are scheduled to be euthanized and places them in safe loving homes. This is a true RESCUE in every sense of the word.

The people who are helping to adopt the dogs are amazing,they do everything to help you to find the dog and then follow if the dog are in good hand. I have are really good experience, 100 percent recommend it.
