Worst experience. I had Toyota Corolla. Had transmission solenoid issue. The guy at the counter as come tomorrow. Leave car for diagnostics. Next day upon return said Transmission need to change cost and used transmission with 60k miles cost $3400. Bring cash and it will be $3100. I requested discounted price but he refused. It was urgent so i had to do, and they took advantage. I dont know if they have even replaced Transmission or repaired it. They returned my car in three days. Even assume they replaced Transmission, where is the Stock fees for returning the old transmission whichnthey pocketed. The car 2005 corolla cost me $11000. After a year, now I had to sell for $3500 due to continue increase in costs. This is total ripoff AAMCO store . TAKING ADVANTAGE OF CUSTOMERS. NEVER EVER visit. I cannot trust this store anymore.

Was quoted 2200 for labor only. Codes reflected major internal damage. I tried to explain issue was intermittent, but was ignored.
In the end, my transmission pan was loose and I was extremely low on transmission fluid. NO MAJOR issues afterall.
Listen to your customers, while I can appreciate that you are the subject matter experts, you may gain useful information such as my issue was intermittent only, would go away with restarting car.

The employees are careless with your vehicle and as a result my truck was damaged with pressure dings and scathes on fenders and side panels. This AAMCO rebuilt my transmission on my truck at 137K mile at a cost of over $6,000 the rebuilt transmission lasted 14 months and failed with only 35K miles on the rebuilt transmission. I was charged another $6300 to rebuild the transmission again. Would I recommend this shop? the answer is no.

Outstanding quality work!! I highly recommend them 👌 Eric the manager at the Capistrano Beach location and all the mechanics there!! Were Awsom on solving my issue!! I'm definitely going there again for future car repairs!!👍😊

Do not have your 10 speed Ford transmission repaired here. Took it in numerous times after the rebuild and they never could get it working. Had to sell it at a $6k loss on top of $8k repair to get rid of the headache. They are nice folks, just not competent on these repairs.

First time taking my vehicle to AAMCO and the service techs and manager were polite and knowledgeable. The transmission re-build they did was 5 star ! Great communication and easy to work with.

Pissed away $5,500.00! Supposed to be A#1 transmission experts, BAH! My business partner brought in the work truck for a lifetime warranty. They never got it right still haven't got it right it's been in there 8 times now and we have supplied most of the parts because they can't figure it out and they still haven't got it right and refuse to do anything to make it right except to LOOK AT IT! Now I'm into it for almost $10,000 for Missed work. Renting of trucks and Buying my own Parts (because they could'nt/wouldn't find them themselves). These guys are too busy to work on your transmission once they've got your check or your cash. Just go to your local transmission place that has a guarantee. Believe me you'll save a lot of money a lot of headaches and a lot of time. AA stands Almost Accountable! You would think after so many years in business they would have BBB status. NO BBB ACCREDITATION. AAMCO SUCKS!

I came in due to my AC not blowing cold and a noise coming from the car. Steve took care of me and called me the same day saying that my car would need a recharge for the AC and they would look for the noise the next day, because I brought the car in late in the day. The next day he called me in the morning saying my car was good to go but they couldn’t find the noise I was talking about. Everything was done in a timely manner and the prices were very reasonable. I would bring my car here again without hesitation. Steve also recommended a tire shop because one of my wheels was bent that I didn’t know about!

If I could give more than five stars I would! Steve was very communicative, fast, helpful, reliable, very personable. He offered discounts and even installed a free coolant reservoir. He works with you. He is fast. He offers accommodations. He undershot other quotes from two other shops by thousands. He worked in our car even when other shops said it was too difficult of a case. Would highly recommend!!!!!

I have a 2015 GMC Sierra. Took it in to have the transmission serviced. Steve and his team took good care of my vehicle and are very honest and knowledgeable. They replaced the fluid and filter and cleaned the magnet for a fair price. These guys are the transmission experts and I'll be returning for any future transmission needs.

I have 2006, Chevy Avalanche. When hot, did not shift, just stuck on 3rd gear. The owner and the manager Steve, worked for almost 4 days to diagnose the problem and finally found an electrical wiring issues which was corrected and fixed. I thought it was going to cost a lot of money, but they were fair and honest about their charges and billed me about $375. Thank you for being honest and straight forward. I highly recommend them. They will not take advantage of you.

Had an AC problem and the guys were so quick and awesome at getting me in and doing the inspection to figure out what our vehicle needed! Very communicative and always used my name when talking on the phone or in person at the shop, which I found very personal & friendly. I will always recommend this shop to my friends and family in the local area!

Went to AAMCO for some service this week and had a great experience. Manager Steve explained my possible issues and fixes in detail, the techs were very nice and attentive, everything was exactly as detailed. In and out same day. Highly recommended this AAMCO location for engine and transmission work.

Steve and his crew do excellent work. I’ve been going there for years. He’s worked on all 3 of my cars and also works on my adult kids cars.
