“I ordered two bowls for Christmas 2025. When they arrived, the smaller bowl was perfect, however the larger bowl was not even close to what the picture I sent, and the bowl color wasn't correct. Debby was easy to work with, and she sent a new bowl directly to the person I intended it for. It was perfect & just like the original picture. The bowls are so whimsical and cute and both myself and the folks I gifted them too are thrilled!!!”
“Living Art Gallery is the best tattoo and art gallery I've ever been to and Monte is a master of his craft.
I've been to him twice now and will absolutely be back for more work. I've never received so many compliments on my tattoos before.
The first time I saw Monte, I had a basic idea of what I wanted and he spent a good deal of time talking to me about the concept, the meaning behind my idea, and then he went and made a few sketches. He came back with incredible options. The way he understood and interpreted the idea I had into an actual piece of art was unreal. Never once did I feel rushed or pressured. When it was time to actually put it on my skin, he was very precise and spent time lining up the sketch to my skin before he used the needle. He wanted to make it perfectly aligned with my veins and he did exactly that. Then he tattooed me and it was relatively painless. Once we finished, he thoroughly explained aftercare instructions and gave me all the necessary products.
About a year later I went back to Monte. This time I had so many ideas and took up a lot of his time talking about all of them. Not once did he rush me. He listened to each and every idea until we landed on one that felt right. Again, he took his time sketching out his vision and again, it came out truly amazing. I couldn't be happier with his work.
Monte is a true artist in every sense of the word. You know this as soon as you meet with him. He deeply cares about his clients and the art he creates. People always ask me who did my tattoos and I always refer them to Monte.
In addition, the atmosphere is excellent. There's tons of art, the place is very clean, and everyone there is friendly. It truly is the best tattoo experience one could ever ask for.”
“One of the best commercial galleries around. Art tends to be contemporary to abstract, a collection of new all the way up to established artists. Easy accessibility with parking unlimited at the Mission Viejo mall. Well serve by public transportation as well if you just don't feel like driving.
Highly recommended is their monthly Art Gallery reception, first Saturday at 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.. See you there!”
“Amazing artist. And conservation advocate and musician. I was able to hear him talk this last weekend about his work, music and see how many people were interested in meeting him. And pretty impressive 47 years at this location. It said no photos of his art inside. So i just took one of his music and the outside. I have always enjoyed going to the Laguna Beach art galleries over the years and the sawdust festival. My mom and dad owned one of his pieces at one point. There is also one in Hawaii where I got the whale tail necklace with my grandmother. Thank you Wyland for bringing the ocean to our family. We love Hawaii and we love art & music.”

“This review is long overdue. Just wanted to express my gratitude towards The Dawson Cole Museum and in particular Jason who made my family feel extremely welcomed during our road trip to Laguna Beach. Not being locals we were particularly excited to come on a weekend of which Laguna holds its annual art walk. To our surprise it was extremely dead in regards to attendance and most galleries closed early that night. We managed to view about four galleries of which we encountered staff who seemed uninterested in engaging with us due to the lack of attendees. Once we reached the Dawson as our last stop the vibe completely changed for the better as we were presented with a great collection of the most unique sculptures and paintings. Jason, who was managing the gallery that night, was extremely inviting and attentive towards my family as he was super enthusiastic to talk about certain pieces. We instantly felt right at home as we were able to not feel the pressure of having to get in and out as quickly as possible. We even got some great recommendations on some local restaurants and bars that we visited that same weekend. I am deeply thankful for the warmth and hospitality of the Dawson Cole team. Thank you so much for making our trip memorable and fun!”

“Really enjoyed seeing the art of Dr. Seuss on display! There's so much packed into such a small space -- I saw pieces I hadn't seen before and learned new things about Dr. Seuss. Definitely a worthwhile experience, especially if you've ever enjoyed reading a Dr. Seuss book.”

“The staff was very helpful and warm. They did an amazing job cleaning up a dusty old print and fixing any folds in it. They were also helpful in finding a frame I loved within my budget. The final product was perfect! I only wish they were open on a weekend day or a little later during the week so I wouldn’t have to go on a lunch break.”

The studio has a beautiful outdoor space perfect for entertaining, a very spacious interior for seating - with the perfect laid back laguna chic vibe to the entire venue. Shaun and his Studio Manager Lili were amazing to work with and worked tirelessly to make our event special. I would definitely host there again!”
