“At 83 years old, having spent my life as a dedicated teacher at DHHS, my fixed income has made finding reliable services a priority. The Haus stands out to me as an exceptional auto repair shop, due to its warm atmosphere. Their expertise extends across a wide spectrum of car-related issues, encompassing everything from complex repairs to routine maintenance tasks. Despite being housed in a vintage building dating back to 1954 when I just started high dchool, their facility is impeccably maintained and equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic technology. While their vehicle drop-off policy may initially seem inconvenient, it can be effectively managed by utilizing ride-sharing services such as Uber, particularly for pickup. I was pleased to discover that the cost of a brake fluid exchange for my BMW 530i was notably reasonable, falling below the prevailing market average. Conveniently situated for those living in the coastal area, next to the DP Nursery.”
“These guys are the best! They are working on mechanically restoring my 1965 Mustang Coupe. After many jobs gone wrong by previous shops, this shop has made it right. They care like they have known me for years, I'm so grateful for their care and wisdom! Thank you! Scott Johnson”
“Some windshield repair places are all about upselling you into a new windshield but not this company. They don't provide that service, they only do repairs and are completely candid with you about what to expect and why. Instead of telling you what you wanna hear, they tell you what you need to know. Every chip and crack is different. I learned a lot! That kind of pure honesty is rare these days. Plus their technician is a very affable and helpful guy...a real pleasure. Oh and they cost nearly half what the company on the TV with the catchy song charges. Dana Point Windshield Repair sets the customer care bar so high, other glass companies need to charter a plane just to see it.”

“They were able to put in an ambient lighting kit that nobody else knew how to do. They are very knowledgeable and respectful. If you have any issues bring it to Ruben’s and they will have the best service.”
“I got estimates From Honda for my van and Ford for my Mercury. Then I went to Dana Point Automotive as they had won our town's Best auto repair for many years. So thankful I went to them. Honda told me I had to replace the timing belts, replace power steering pump, repair leaking transaxle. Those repairs were over 3 thousand dollars, and that did not include the AC compressor, or the AC evaporator. Eric at Dana Point Auto said the transaxle was not leaking and nothing wrong with the power steering pump. He replace a hose and an O ring for $25 versus the 1000 dollars to replace the power steering pump at Honda. Eric said the AC evaporator was good and did not need to be replaced. So my total bill was a fraction of what it would have been at Honda. I took my Mercury in and encountered the same situations. I was told the transaxle on Mercury was leaking but it was the transmission oil cooler. He did a complete service on the Mercury at a fraction of what the quoted charges at Ford were. In this day of not being able to trust anyone, it was most rewarding to encounter an honest businessman. They are not the cheapest, but Eric does not pad the bill, and most importantly they do not fix anything that is not broken. I think Dana Point Auto rightfully earns the award of Best Automotive Repair Business in Dana Point. I am a 37 year resident of Dana Point, CA. Patrick. My vehicles run like new and no leaks. Many thanks!Service: Auto maintenance”
