After waiting a week to receive a call back, never has such a rude receptionist talked to me as if she was doing me a favor by even answering the phone. Then, after I asked to schedule a time to meet the accountant. told me to send my previous tax return in and they would let me know if they were interested in selecting me as a client. WOW.

I contacted Chris Johnston, CPA & Diana Orlando's (EA & notary public) last April about doing our 2022 taxes in 2023. Diana was very busy finishing up the 2021 tax year and took the time to answer all my questions. Diana is an EA "Enrolled Agent" which means she is able to represent clients in front of the IRS. I was very impressed with her knowledge and friendliness. I UPS'd a copy of my 2021 taxes. Fast forward to 2023, I received a reminder to submit my tax info for 2022, which I did. About two weeks later, presto my taxes were finished. Chris Johnston then gave me a call to go over my taxes and asked a few questions to make sure I had all my legitimate deductions, dependents, special tax credits, etc. since the tax code is a moving target with new deductions each year & deductions that are eliminated. That same day my wife and I received docusign documents to virtually sign. All done! I was impressed with the friendliness, knowledge, and ease of doing business with Chris & Diana. Thank you. As a side note: their price was lower than my pervious tax prep service. It is re-assuring to know that I have knowledgeable tax experts and a point-of-contact regarding any future tax questions.

After many years of having Chris do our taxes , { which were very simple} and having what we thought was a mutual respectful relationship, we had a very negative experience.... Due to the sale of a rental property , our taxes last year were more complicated ....Chris showed impatience and short temper when asked for any explanations ...we felt it was legitimate for us to understand and ask any questions that needed proper and clear answers. We also felt the fees charged were exaggerated ...and Chris took advantage of our situation... He would not respond to inquiries and basically "wrote us off" . We certainly do not recommend him anymore as a professional CPA with the attitude he demonstrated.

Weird vibe and the guy looks like a beach bum drunk They wont do face to face interactions and have a thin staff and are rarely open. They dont want to do anything more than they have to and have no interest in problem solving nor working together. Out of the three times we used them, the last time was the inly time we came out agead and did not owe anything. No special care or effort was given. There is a reason they dont want to let u in, the appearance of the staff is u professional at best.

Chris has been my CPA for over 20 years. He's a CPA so of course he is knowledgeable about taxes and tax law but more importantly he is proactive and works to understand what is best for me in what and the best way to address sometimes complicated tax situations. I have never been audited in his 20 years of doing my taxes and his advice has foresight and insight to my needs. He also just a really nice guy and enjoyable to work with as much as taxes can be.

Rude, unprofessional and recklessly-careless - his negligent failure to properly consider, complete and include Form 8829 in our 2019 and 2020 tax returns caused my wife and I to lose out on claiming over $16,000 of qualifying home business expense deductions. When I politely brought this disappointing and costly omission to his attention he (shockingly) demonstrated he was not even aware such expenses could be carried-forward (for use in future years,) rudely and unprofessionally refusing to simply "man-up" by acknowledging his blunder and amending our returns (which I even generously offered to pay him to do - until he began lashing-out demonstrating (even further) his reportable rudeness, unprofessionalism and carelessness.)

I told the receptionist that we were new in the state and looking for an accountant. We were told that Mr. Johnston would not even take a telephone call until we sent him our last filed taxes. Goodbye.

I can not say enough good things about this business. Chris and Diana handled our tax situation promptly, professionally and saved us a lot of money in the process. We have since used them twice more and plan on using them going forward. Quick responses to questions, very thorough and detailed, and honest. Highly recommend.

Moved here from the Midwest in 2014 and found Chris and Diana I believe on Yelp. My father had recently passed and had always done my taxes. I've been using them over 5 years now and they are very fair and asked all the right questions to prepare my returns over the years. I was so impressed that I have them preparing my Mom's return over the last few years. I highly recommend.

Discovered this practice through Yelp last year after I was desperate to find an effective CPA and tax advisor/preparer. Had such a terrible experience with my prior servicer and Chris and Diana helped clean up their mess! They are top notch, professional and so efficient and definitely the best choice we made. I know we are in very good hands with them and have so much trust in the quality of their work.

I am new to the area and chose Chris Johnston due to his reviews on yelp. I was very pleased with the service and impressed with Chris's knowledge. The office staff was great and responded to emails and phone calls. Tax time can be very stressful, but with Chris he made it a breeze. Chris was patient and answered all of my questions. I will definitely be referring him to anyone with accounting needs.
