Tired, worn out, stay away! Night 4 with NO room cleaning/make up. Called for toilet paper, maybe a couple of towels-please (the fourth night there!), and instead of receiving anything/help/support/, I got a lecture on how to not hang the "do not disturb" sign.....SERIOUSLY???? Never even brought us T.P.!! Checked out the next morning at the front desk, and HILTON still charged me for two additional night stays. We were not there!! Valet guys were good!, desk staff were rude!!!!!, no other staff present.... HHonors member for over 10 years....NEVER will I stay at a Hilton property again. Please, Please, stay elsewhere...(Marriott 1 mile north is FANTASTIC)-a pup tent across the street would be better! I am closing/cancelling my HHONNORS account. Never again. Zero stars was my first option

I am shocked this hotel is a doubletree Hilton in Dana Point no less. the photos I posted speak for themselves. The shower ceiling looked like it was going to cave in, the bathroom faucet was decades old and filthy, the bathroom walls were caked with some kind of mysterious gunk, the Kleenex box hadn't been dusted in how long? And the toilet handle was broken and didn't flush. Also the employees act like they do not care and can't be bothered. The parking structure is teeny and hard to navigate. I absolutely would not stay here,

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Doheny Beach in Dana Point, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The front staff, including Walter, Jackie, Lisa, Rolaura, and Miguel, were not only professional but also exceptionally friendly and helpful. Their warm welcome set the tone for a fantastic stay.To our pleasant surprise, we were fortunate enough to receive a complimentary upgrade to the surfside suite, thanks to our Hilton Diamond Status. The surfside suite was not only spacious but also offered breathtaking views, making our stay even more special. Room features a king-size bed, a sofa bed, a balcony with ocean views, and even a fireplace! The attention to detail in the room's design and amenities truly reflected the high standards associated with the Hilton brand. One highlight of our visit was dining at the Longboard upstairs lounge, where we were treated to exceptional service by Kerri. She went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable, providing recommendations and attending to our needs with a genuine smile. The atmosphere at the lounge was relaxed and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind.Overall, the DoubleTree by Hilton Doheny Beach exceeded our expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay in Dana Point. The combination of friendly staff, excellent dining options, and thoughtful upgrades made our visit truly memorable. I look forward to returning to this beautiful property in the future.5/5 Stars!

I am an Old Hilton customer this hotel shouldn't operate with this situation everything is old shower , faucet , bath tub disgusting that we didn't take shower. At the end they over charged on my card and when I called to resolve it two rude persons kept me on hold for 35 minutes. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. Sina

I stayed here for two nights on thanksgiving. The view is beautiful and the room is clean. They provide coffee every morning at the lobby. The staff is really nice and helpful as well. I had good breakfast here as well.

The view is great. The location is wonderful. The hotel lobby and gym are very nice. The rooms need some serious. attention. Lots of things not functioning very well. Sliding glass doors, sink faucets, and other items. The staff are very friendly. The food in the main dining room in the evening is not very good. The breakfast however was good but, the staff was not very attentive. I think with some TLC this place would get five stars no problem.

I recently booked a trip to stay in this hotel over the weekend for a wedding. I booked a few weeks in advance but my car broke down 5 days before I was going and I couldn't make the trip. I understand the no refund policy but they wouldn't make any exceptions. Greedy, no good business practice!!! I read the fine print but had an unusual circumstance that they were not willing to understand. I feel sorry for anyone that books reservations at this hotel. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Thanks for nothing Double Tree!

Staff upgraded me to Surfside Suite, which I really appreciated. The staffs are also very nice and attentive. I dined at the on-site restaurant and I was sadly disappointed by the quality of the food. We orderedabout $100 worth of food from steaks, kids meal, ahi tuna, to desserts. Steaks were bland, chicken tenders were hard as rock and couldbe literally used as weapon if you really want to. Staff comped the chicken tenders for that reason, which is appreciated.Pool was also closed but weather was cold anyway.

What a dump! This place is in DIRE need of major renovations! No lighting in the seating area. The carpet is disgusting. The bathroom was small, filthy, & worn out. Very happy we only had to stick this out for 1 night. They had just completed painting the exterior on our visit and the sliding door was still covered in heavy plastic - so we have no idea of how the view was from our room.Extremely disappointing for a Doubletree property.

Do not go to this hotel. This hotel is in deplorable condition and should not be a Hilton. Forget letting management know, they are aware and will do nothing but make excuses. The hotel has been telling guest that they are going to renovate.I called Hilton and they will not do anything as well.I am adding just a few of the many pictures I have.

If I could give zero stars, I would! This hotel needs to seriously be gutted and remodeled from top to bottom. We are checking out a day early because there is no way I want to stay here another night. After trying 3 rooms, air conditioner so noisy, 2nd room- A/c didn’t work and then settling for a full bed instead of a queen, the bugs, the mold, the dirt, spiders, broken doors, broken elevator button, rust, disgusting tub, white stuff all over headboard and the list goes on…. Please see pictures. We told the manager and the manager said that since we were through Hilton Grand Vacations, he couldn’t do anything to help us or to move us to another hotel. We called Hilton Grand Vacations and spoke to Chrissy and she told us to tell our manager and that she would pass on the info. We never heard back. We told all of the people for Hilton Grand Vacations when we went for the presentation and they gave me a piece of paper to fill out and said they would pass it on. I suggest to NEVER stay here!! It’s deplorable! This place should be shut down! Oh, $35 a night to park where they have supports holding up the ceiling of the garage and limited parking due to this. It is all roped off!!

No privacy whatsoever in the bathroom - you can see and hear everything that is going on via a glass barn door that does not completely cover the opening! You have to turn on the TV then turn it up loud to mask the sounds coming out of the bathroom! And the bathroom is tiny with no counterspace whatsoever. Paper thin walls on both sides so you hear everything going on next door even though no one is being overly loud. Every time the door was opened next door it sounded like our door was opening. And room service that took nearly one hour on a weeknight and was delivered in a paper bag! I am shocked that Hilton would put their name on this hotel. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

As others have mentioned, the only thing good about this property is the location & the staff. The bathroom provides absolutely zero privacy with the glass sliding barn door that is literally 3 feet away from one of the beds! Lipstick on a pig is the perfect description. They have basically slapped new paint on walls that are in need of repairs. Peeling wallpaper. Dirty balcony in need of cleaning. The hallways reek of the smell of weed. (Not that you can avoid that these days!) Rooms come with two double beds for $300 a night in October with another $35 parking fee. For that price, they should at least have queen beds since no one could possibly sleep on the supposed pullout bed. Its like sleeping on springs. Definitely not worth it & will not stay there again.

Nice hotel and close to Laguna Cliffs Marriott, host hotel for conference. Close to Doheny State Beach with nice trails. Quiet and modern rooms. In process of renovation. Bathroom is a bit tight for me. Would definitely stay here again.Rooms: 2 Large TVs in room. Bathroom is small. Nice appointed.Walkability: Easy access to trails across the street at Doheny Beach.
