Friendly employees and a great variety of Dana Point and SoCal merch.
Ample parking and store wasn’t crowded. Very clean and organized, pricing comparable to any surf shop which are a dying breed. Love to support local, glad I stopped in after walking by for a year!

My mother, sister, and I (all brown women) had the unfortunate experience of being followed at this store. A young blonde employee kept lingering behind us as we shopped. She never approached us to ask if we needed help, instead she kept a close eye on us, pretending to refresh the inventory. There were plenty of other customers she could have been engaging with but instead she walked around suspiciously eyeing our every move. She didn't do this with my dad (a white man) nor any of the other customers there (all of which were white, as well). Experiences like this are infuriating and distasteful. Due to this micro aggression we will likely never shop here again.

I love Hobie! They have the best seasonal clothes, swim, and beach decor. I love going to all 3 locations, the staff is always so nice and helpful.

I always stop by when visiting SoCal. Great selection of clothes and a great selection of boards. I did some birthday shopping for friends and family that hang out at the beach. Even if you aren't a beach bum, great casual beach attire that is hard to find anywhere else. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Great to ask them what your niece or nephew might want :)

Nice selection of things however the staff needs to make sure all customers are being helped. I was not asked once for a dressing room or asked if I needed help finding a size. As someone who owns a clothing business I found this very disappointing all customers deserve to feel welcomed not like they don’t belong.

I make a yearly pilgrimage to this location when I'm visiting the west coast. I can't rave enough how friendly and helpful the staff are here.

I live in Laguna Beach and we have a Hobie shoo in town, but this one has section that carries surfboards and a shaping room, now my story gets better I went on a lark to see if they might have a board I'd been looking at online at Hobie.com as I prefer to see the board in person and usually I buy custom boards. Well low and behold there it was I was stoked shaped by Michael Arnel and the resin tint looks so much better in person I bought right off the rack first time ever. Now the staff were super helpful professional nice it was pleasure they went out there to answer any all questions very accommodating so everyone thank you

Nice up scale surf shop. Limited supply of surfboards and Wetsuits. Nice selection of Patagonia merchandise. My wife liked their selection of swim suits and other apparel for women.

Went here the other day with some friends and had a great time shopping. Lots of lovely things to buy and the staff was helpful. Yet not super nice, just kind of there. Good quality items and organization was on point.
