This location is one of the better Ace hardware stores but is it that hard to put a search bar on your website so I csn search specific hardware not involving Christmas light advertisements? Nobody wants to have to scroll through a website that has thousands of products amd there isn't a way to narrow it down with a search option? If I'm missing something let me know because the icon with 3 horizontal lines certainly doesn't have a search option. The customer service was great until I waited for at least 10 minutes with only 2 customers in front of me because the elderly cashier wants to conversate instead of moving the line. I get it. Be nice, friendly and courteous but move the line because some of us do not want to hear about other people's holiday plans when they need to get back to work. Cashiers are there to ring you up and get the next customers checked out efficiently. The lack of other peoples sense of urgency is off putting...

This is a really nice, but small, store. Employees are very helpful. I just wish the employees at the cash registers would not use “do you have a phone number with us?” as a greeting when a customer comes up to the counter. What happened to “hi”, “hello”, etc? I cringe every time I have to go up to the register ‘cause I know what’s coming.

Fantastic store and employees. My AC died yesterday and repair appointments were booked three days out, with three more days of triple digit temps on the way. This store was the only location within 25 miles that had the replacement part I needed. They prepared my online order within 10 minutes of opening, and when I arrived, Will and Robert (both young employees) were very knowledgeable and helpful, grasped what I was trying to do and volunteering options for how to best get it done. Other employees in the store were occupied, but they seemed equally top notch. The repair went smoothly and thanks in part to this store my home is habitable and I have extra money in my wallet. 10/10

I walked into store in need of urgent help with a piece of artwork that was missing the hanging material.
Penten ( hope I’m not misspelling his name) nicely helped me by installing the part that I purchased from their store which helped me save a trip to house and back.
Super kind, polite and a real gentleman.

I had a leaky faucet. Went to store.
Eric really went out of his way , spending time to locate the parts I need and explained to me how to actually change the parts.
This is my store for my home repair.
I do recommend this store to those who want to DIY around their house.
Great service, great people and great selections

You've found the right place if you want to enter a store and be ignored while the manager on duty and two associates talk about how much they hate liberals. Given this is Danville (a town that skews republican) this may be all you need to hear to endorse this place. But terrible service and ignorant political opinions (no matter what end of the political spectrum) arent a good business model if they alienate half of your potential customers.

I’m a frequent customer. I have been shopping here for years. The workers are very caring, but management is horrible. A manager named Phillip was incredibly rude. And I overheard sherry talking negatively about Jennifer, who is mentally challenged. Jennifer has been a caring sweet cashier who’s worked here forever. The only managers who actually seem to care at all are Matt, and Jonathan. Don’t shop here.

This has been a long time coming to this particular Ace store. Why is it every time I walk in (yes, every time!) I feel invisible to your employees? No greeting, no asking if I need help/assistance. But I'd hear plenty asking to others. I'd deliberately walk by 1 or 2 employees, nothing. You had what I was looking for and "I " found it. I go here because it's closer to where I live. I'll be going to Ace in San Ramon.

Always been a fan of Ace in general but this location and Walnut Creek are probably my favorites. Unlike the big box stores, the staff actually offer help locating items and advice when needed.
