The pharmacy staff has consistently been rude, unprofessional, unorganized and the pharmacist tech's seem to blatantly hate their jobs. I have been given the run around at that pharmacy one too Many times, I plan to switch to Costco.

This is by far the worst pharmacy in Danville. Last week I spent 45 mins on the floor waiting for my cancer pain medication. Today I've been waiting 45 mins, completely forgotten about, went back in line and was told another 30 mins. Blame it on the power, there was no power outage when I waited last week. Pretty ridiculous. Moving all of my prescriptions from here on out.

The worst customer service I've ever received and I consider myself to be patient and tolerant. They were very rude. I just couldn't believe the way they were talking to me. It was obvious they are overworked, understaffed and stressed (even though I was the only one in line at the time) but to take it out on a customer is just not ok. Switched all my prescriptions over to Walgreens

Absolutely rude on phone, impatient with older customers, refused to place chairs to sit on for long pharmacy lines

I'm honestly shocked by the phone conversation I just had with the pharmacist here. My doctor sent a prescription here for me for the first time. I'd previously been using Walgreens, had some difficulty with them having medications in stock, so wanted to try CVS, since it is also near my house. The pharmacist called me questioning my doctors location- I explained I use Stanford, so yes they're in Palo Alto/Menlo Park, but I live right down the road in Danville. Then he asked why I'd never used them before. I explained I'd previously used Walgreens but was wanting to try CVS. He then said he would essentially do me a favor and fill the prescription this one time, but his concern was taking care of "his patients" and he wanted me to go back to Walgreens for future prescriptions. I'm in healthcare and this conversation completely baffled me. This is a large chain of pharmacies. I should be able to fill a prescription wherever my doctor sends it. For example, if I'm visiting Houston and the nearest pharmacy is X and my doctor sends it there, that should be no problem. Or if I move and the CVS is more convenient than another pharmacy, I should be able to start filling my prescriptions there. I should also be able to switch from Walgreens to CVS if I want. The whole line of questioning and response was totally confusing to me. In the past I always used CVS, but where I lived previously Walgreens was the better option (and that switch occurred seamlessly). I guess this answers my question - no need to switch to the CVS near my house!

My ONLY option was self check out. I do not work at CVS. I should not have to check myself out because CVS is too cheap to hire enough workers to do the job. Walgreens is across the street and THEY have people to check me out. Walgreens will be my choice from now on.

Ever have enough people working pharmacy - feel like cattle waiting in their long lines.

Really has to be one of the worst CVS experiences I’ve ever had. Nobody to assist you when the machine requires an attendant to finish purchasing some items. Try to use coupons, machine won’t allow you to insert them prompting you to call for help that never comes. The single employee at the register sees you’re in need of help and couldn’t be bothered to move. Absolutely unacceptable experience - better off never going again to spare myself the 30 minute ordeal.

CVS Danville Pharmacy does not seem to know how to process insurance cards or information. The pharmacist did not even enter the correct information and expected me as the customer to do the work for her. This is despite giving her the correct insurance card that worked at multiple doctors' offices the same week.

I'm updating my review of this store from last month. I complained that they were understaffed and that they botched a photo order and handled it poorly. The manager called me to say they had re-done the job and he gave us a $10 credit on our CVS account, and was very apologetic. I've been back a couple of times since and there was more staff around. I like businesses that make an effort to correct mistakes. So I'm going with 4 stars.

Pharmacy isn't designed for a great customer experience - lines are long, expect to wait in multiple lines and do lots of paperwork if your insurance changed, prescriptions aren't always ready as indicated, and pharmacy hours aren't the same as the CVS Pharmacy Store. Costco or online prescriptions are much easier.

My sister and I went to the Danville CVS to get our passport photos. We were in and out in about 15 minutes. The gal who took our photos was cheery and professional and it was a pleasure to do this. I recommend this store to get photos and was not expensive either.

Low stock and barely passable service. I'm avoiding it when I can and using Rite-Aid for the time being.

I needed a prescription transferred for my sone after it was ordered to the wrong CVS location. The Danville CVS Pharmacy was fast and very helpful in making this happen before closing the night before Thanksgiving. Very thankful!!
