As we all know Covid has decimated the work force. Leslie's pool supply is no exception. Prior to Covid their stores had friendly associates willing to help you with any questions you might have. They still can provide excellent pool water analysis...but that's where it stops. Two weeks ago I brought my Polaris 380 in for some work on the water management system (the wheels were turning slowly and were "grinding"...normally that is a belt change and about $30 max. Well, in the Walnut Creek location the SINGLE employee (nice young lady) said there are few if any certified techs that can work on Polaris left at Leslie's. Danville store was my best bet. Danville employee (singular) did his best. Leslie's needs to pay more to bring in more staff. Trained staff so that things go more smoothly.

We thought we might have to buy a new pool pump, but Patrick really helped us out. He actually diagnosed the problem on the phone, explained why it might be happening and walked us through how to resolve it. We followed his instructions, did exactly what he recommended and the problem was solved! Thank you Patrick P for fantastic customer service.

My pool sweeper crashed. I talked to another pool repair company, they stated it was UN-repairable and quoted me a new one of around $500.00 dollars. I went to Leslie's Pool in Danville and talked to Dave the manager he did the repair just like new and saved me a lot of money! Thanks Leslie's and especially Dave our Hero! From a Senior Citizen.

We ordered a Polaris pool cleaner that had to be shipped from another Leslie's. Dave and staff was wonderful, helping us get the pool cleaner that we needed and other supplies to make our pool ready for the summer. They answered all our questions and directed us to the right merchandise. Dave is knowledgeable, helpful, patient and wants to help his customers. Leslie's Danville is our #1 go to for pool supplies and accessories.

Bad overall experience. I waited for a year (not a typo - one YEAR - 365 days - 52 weeks - 12 months) for equipment to be available and installed partly due to covid. The store manager I dealt with was pretty good but the installer was another story. He ignore my requests, refused to do what had been agreed to, and left me hanging with a partially installed automation system. The work was amateurish and unsafe especially the electrical work and I had to personally spend another day or so correcting the work myself. To top it all off some of the equipment that the store manager had kindly reserved for me while we dealt with covid related shortages was sold to someone else and never replaced. It literally had my name on it. Never again. I've learned my lesson. The pool equipment manufactures are crooks trying to hold on to their oligopoly and forcing consumers to go through to go through "authorized" dealers which creates zero incentive for dealers to be conscientious and professional. The two stars are for the store manager I worked with. No one else deserves a star.

I was having difficulty getting my chemicals balanced in my hot tub and took water into the Danville store, and the young man was so helpful in letting me know how to fix the foaming and get the hot tub balanced again. I couldn't be happier. So sorry that I didn't get his name!

Dave deserves 10* not just 5! He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, personable and willing to help out the clients understand everything they want to know about pools. We recently moved in this area and we had a bad experience with the pool company that the previous owner was using to service the pool, so I am very happy that we discovered Leslie's pool in Danville and that now we have peace of mind knowing our pool is maintained properly.

I am a frequent customer at Leslie's in Danville and it is due to Dave and his crew. He gives great advice, friendly, and goes beyond my expectations in answering questions and servicing our repair needs. Nice to see these days!

The Danville Leslie's store is great. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. However, DON'T USE LESLIE'S TO SERVICE YOUR POOL! They keep sending inexperienced, minimally trained technicians. A couple of years ago, I tried their service dept. for a simple filter cleanout. They sent an inexperienced technician and I ended up having to teach him how to do it. It has been a while, so I decided to give them another chance today. When I set up the appointment, I told them I have an older PacFab Nautilus D.E. filter and asked them to please send a more experienced technician. The technician showed up within the promised time window, but he looked barely out of high school. He'd only been on the job for two months and my filter system is older than he is. He'd never seen or worked on this type of system and I didn't want to take a chance on having him break something, so I asked him to call his manager and see if they could send a more experienced technician who has at least worked on my type of filter. Unfortunately, after I took a day off to wait for the service, they didn't have anyone else available today. He promised that the dispatcher would call me "in a few minutes" to reschedule for tomorrow, and he drove away. Nobody called or followed up so I'm left hanging. Bottom line -- if they don't have the experience to handle a simple filter cleanout, you'd have to be nuts to trust them with anything more complicated. LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR QUALIFIED, COMPETENT POOL SERVICE!

This store's staffs are very friendly especially the store manager David. He is very knowledgeable and knows what he is talking about. He has been a great help to order the parts that we need and provided very professional service. I have to drive 25 minutes to get there but it's worth it.

The store has zero customer service ethic. Orders are lost, promises are forgotten, and staff are rude or indifferent. It appears they are complacent because there's good local demand. The Crow Canyon store suffers from similar issues, so I have been forced to drive all the way to the Dublin location to get decent service
