There was a strong rot? Trash? Smell in the back. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it was very strong. This was near the meat section. Now, two hours later after eating what I bought, my stomach is having a fit. I'm not sure if I can trust this grocery store again.

I went with my grandson 13 who loves to cook we bought several produce oranges in a bag and blueberries strawberries etc when we got home one of the oranges was rotten with so much mildew we went back to the store and asked for the manager she was like she could care less just get another orange and never even apologized for the awful experience then went back home and when we opened the blueberries half of them where rotten this is at lucky’s in Danville needles to say I dumped them and decided it wasn’t worth going back again especially after the way we were treated I will say one thing I will never ever buy any produce from lucky’s it is discusting and they don’t care

The ladies at checkout are nice if you look like you’re local, but as a gay man I feel very unwelcomed at this store. I came to buy some water and greeted the checkout lady Berna-something, she looked me up and down and ignores me and a few seconds later just goes “do you need the receipt?”. It’s not like she was stressed with a big line of customers. Same thing happened with another lady checker, I think her name was Somer. Super friendly and kind to the white elderly people, but won’t even acknowledge my presence with a hello or goodbye. I would prefer to go to another store but I happen to work nearby sometimes and this is just the most convenient location, so. I guess Danville is a bit different from the rest of the Bay Area, though.

I work close by and have been stopping by in the mornings for about 2 years now. This grocery store is honestly so terrible. The morning staff - Meredith in particular - are so rude. I usually go in the morning and get the same checkout clerk, and she is so rude to every customer. I had an issue with the coupon for the grapes not ringing up in the app because my phone number wasn't linked to my email. I brought up to Meredith that the coupon wasn't working for me, and she said that nobody had problems with the coupons and asked what the problem was. When I explained the issue, she put the coupon in and didn't say another word to me. She always acts like she's angry at the customers, it's very odd.
The produce is old, the bakery puts out stale cakes (I purchased one for $30 and had to get a refund because it was so stale), and their dairy section is a mess. I've purchased expired yogurt from them before unknowingly. The second time, I saw several yogurts expired and brought it to the front for them to take off the shelves. Their half and half is always either close to expiration or expired. Who wants to buy half and half that expires in two days? I took pictures this morning, and the half and half expired on the 7th. So the staff has gone an entire week without checking on their product?
It's such a shame, because the manager (I believe her name is Rose) is actually very nice. She was the one who helped me with getting a refund on the cake (although the staff was rude yet again when I went in). It'll be more inconvenient, but I'll just head over to Safeway. This place is just not properly run and the staff is so rude. Definitely not heading back.

Lucky's in Danville has been out of most eggs for 5 days now. Terrible. I asked a store clerk why they are out of eggs and she said it might be because of bird flu! Just around the corner is Lunardi's Market and their egg case is stocked full.

The only thing this store has going for it is the location. It’s depressing, cluttered, sales are a joke, never any decent steaks, and the prices are not low. They gave this place a facelift years ago and managed to only downgrade the experience. They need to sell this to Safeway or Nob Hill or something.

Staff are great and the store is always stocked, however, the online hours were incorrect when I got here today. Google said open at 6am, when infact they open at 7. Higher ups should correct this immedietly as people leave their houses early to find out the store is closed

The best Lucky ever! Staff are very friendly always. Meredith at checkout did a great job and the lady (sorry didn’t see her name) at deli kindly reminded me to click digital coupon before purchasing. Also, highly recommend their fried chicken! Juicy inside and crunchy outside, plus much cheaper than Popeyes and KFC! Don’t get me wrong, I’m always a Popeyes and KFC fan. But Lucky totally surprised me with their friend chicken!
