My mini poodle was bitten by a German Shepard, leaving a puncture on her right flank. Of course, these horrible things happen on the weekend! This was our first visit to Oak Tree Animal Hospital , and it couldn't have gone any smoother, from my initial call, to the Dr visit (on a Sunday)! When we arrived, the front desk greeted us warmly, we were shown into a room, where the vet assistant(Shania,I think) took her vitals, and wrote comprehensive notes on the incident. When the vet came in, she did a full exam with explanation, and discussed the recommended medications. A very scary incident( for both my sweet dog and I) was made so much better by their reassuring demeanor. I've had dogs all my life, visited many veterinary offices throughout the years, and this was definitely one of the best experiences I've ever had! Although it's 35 minutes from my home, I will happily make the drive for great veterinary care. Thank you, Oak Tree Animal Hospital, for getting us in so quickly and for great care!

Both my babies got sick so we drove 1.5 hours to Oak Tree Animal hospital because of their amazing service and on point diagnosis. Both boys are now healed and wagging their tails happily. With that said thank you Dr. Arman and his amazing staff.

I am so very grateful to Oak Tree?My fur baby Taco (chihuahua) had a mass and getting an appointment at my former vet Almost 30 years was so out there. Oak Tree didn't Hesitate and he was seen immediately and the surgery done soon after. I am so grateful? He is doing great, and they had such loving care towards my little sweet Taco. My three dogs and two cats have a new pet hospital?

In full disclosure, this will be a long review but feel I need to adequately document my overall experience. On 11/25/23, my husband and I took our 12 year old lab mix here for the first time. Our regular vet was on vacation so we contacted Oak Tree. In fairness to them, it was easy to access a same day appointment online. Our sweet pooch Lucy had a major sneezing attack the night before ( something she had never experienced before) and we were concerned she may have an infection, fever etc. ). upon exam, her temperature was normal and heart and lungs checked out okay. The doctor recommended a course of antibiotics and a cough supplement. We declined lab work that day given her temp was normal and her vitals were good. A couple days later, Lucy became increasingly lethargic and restless. We stopped the antibiotics and took her back again on 11/28/23 and explained Lucy's was increasingly restless, pacing and "not herself" The doctor told us he felt this is "doggy dementia" and he sees it often in senior dogs but we were not convinced doggy dementia would have such a sudden onset but our opinion didn't warrant much validation. We had lab work done and the following day, 11/29 the doctor called to share the results were all within normal limits and again he was suggesting doggy dementia and also suggested acupuncture may help with her pacing and arthritis and we asked if it would help with her personality ( as I said Lucy wasn't herself) he suggested it might....Lucy became increasingly restless, panting and pacing to the point of me calling the emergency vet (Veg in San Ramon). WITHOUT EVEN SEEING HER but just having a phone conversation with me describing Lucy's behaviors, the ER vet suspected a neurological involvement. The next two days were awful watching my canine companion not respond to me, pace my house and not appear to know me at all. On Saturday, 12/2 I took Lucy to the Emergency vet where they immediately assessed Lucy and diagnosed either a brain tumor or stroke and I was told the awful news that nothing could be done for her. I called my kids, waited for my husband to arrive and we had to say goodbye to the best dog I have ever known. I was and still am truly heartbroken.I don't blame or fault Oak Tree for the passing of Lucy - all of our canines eventually leave us. But I am angry for having to spend a week of hell trying to find out what was wrong with my dog and trying to help her and I felt this practice didn't listen to us well. I clearly don't feel they truly tried to look at Lucy and dig deep for a diagnosis. And as a dog owner, I feel I put poor Lucy through hell making her suffer longer than she needed to despite the fact no time would be the right time to say goodbye. We knew she wasn't herself and no one here could diagnose her and give me time to prepare to say goodbye. Instead, I ended up taking her to be checked out at the ER vet, and came home without her.

Friendly staff, and very loving care. This was my first time with my new 3 year old Goldendoodle and it was a great experience for my dog and for me. I made an appointment to have the vet check over my new pet and get established. I am so glad I found this wonderful vet so close to home! J. Strong, Danville

Immediate dog treatment on a Sunday. My dog was bit & my vet is closed on the weekend. My dog received 3 stitches & was a lot better. I thought my bill was going to be expensive but I negotiated the bill lower because I told the vet I would follow-up with my vet which I did.

When was the last time someone asked if they could put your call on hold and actually awaited an answer? This is standard practice at Oak Tree. Great service for humans and furiends and excellent care as well!

The office staff members are courteous and attentive to the needs of the patients and their guardians, and I appreciated Dr. Arman's professional attention to my cat's dental issue.

The staff at Oak Tree have been so welcoming since I brought in my puppy at only 8 weeks old! They have done a great job at providing excellent care for my pup and I feel extremely lucky to have found such a trustworthy team! Here she is after getting her last round of vaccines! I can't wait to watch her grow up knowing her health is in the hands of such a reliable hospital.

My cat has been to three other vets to resolve her urinary issues with no resolution, and no interest in finding a real resolution, but at Oaktree she saw a doctor who knows how to be a scientist (the best kind of doctor). I had an answer within 20 minutes and received an excellent treatment plan that had my girl feeling better within 2 days. It was pretty expensive, but that was in part because I took her to emergency care. I got my appointment the night of and they saw me immediately. I really can't stress enough how good the quality of the examination and treatment was compared to the hours we've spent at other vets. So grateful for my baby's recovery!

I have been bringing my dogs here for about a year and love them!! At every visit, no matter how busy they are, they have been kind, caring and compassionate to my animals and to their worried mom. But I have to rave about my most recent visit. I have an arthritic 15 year old dog who was clearly in pain and slowing down - really showing her age. I was preparing myself to say goodbye. The wonderful Dr. Arman suggested cool laser therapy, acupuncture and an injection (of something that sounds like "umbrella". Be sure to ask what it's actually called. It is a miracle drug!). My soulmutt is acting like a puppy again!!! She's jumping up and down off the bed and doing things I haven't seen her do for months, maybe years! My biggest worry now is that she feels TOO good and will hurt herself. I can't recommend this office enough. Everyone there is wonderful, but special shout out to our techs Emily and Nick! They took their time, were cheerful, and made her feel like part of the family!
