The staff here is very nice! The store is clean and organized and open late, which is super helpful for when you need a snack while working late at night! Also, UC Davis students get a 5% discount at checkout. The only downfall is the prices, which are WAY higher than any other grocery store in town. I assume this is due to the convenience of being the only grocery store in West Davis.

A great local market that you feel good supporting. Lots of selection for the size and plenty of healthy options.

When you're buying packaged things always check the expiration dates and sell by dates because on multiple occasions I've found expired milk still on the shelf, expired seasonings some still from 2019 and I just bought pork on the 3rd of August and the sell by date was the 30th of July. I didn't notice until I opened it and it had a weird smell.

Local business, friendly helpful staff. Great produce, large selection of everything you could need. Well organized, spotlessly clean. Will deliver groceries to your home-just arrange ahead of time. Wide aisles. They grill Tri-tip, kabobs on some weekends. Please support our local businesses and keep them going!

This market outshines the upscale Nugget and large chain grocery stores. The staff is personable and upbeat! During this 'shelter in place time' this lil family market is able to receive and stock shelves so there is no panic. You may not get your favorite brands, but the stock is there! Best time for seniors is after 9pm until close (midnight). Now the secret is out. Meet Desirée, Joel, Janette, Annette, and the rest of their talented staff.

So friendly! They are small and dont have everything but they will get it if you ask and I LOVE their sammiches. I hate to give such a good review because one of the things I like best is I never have to wait in lines or fight crowds here. Id like it to stay that way but that makes it hard for them to stay in business, so I will out my hidden gem and encourage you to come try their fresh hot baguettes. Just ask them and they will put one in the oven for you. To die for!

No waiting around in this neighborhood market. This super friendly market is small but mighty. Can't find an item? No worries. The staff will be happy to special order it for you and then give you a call when the item comes in. Some items are actually cheaper than big stores. Highly recommend this store!

A bit pricey, but it's got a good reputation. I prefer to shop bakery/deli items at Westlake over Safeway. However, I shop at Safeway for frozen pizzas and food because Westlake's freezer isle is costly. It's got a deli which is pretty good, and the two of the staff that I know are super friendly (Indian guy, and the white semi-old woman.

This place is cute as a button! I stopped in to grab some things for dinner, and I really wish I had discovered it earlier simply to look at all the stuff! They have a lot of items that you won't find in Safeway. Beer selection looks killer. Produce was beautiful. I love this grocery store because it really does remind you of a mom and pop place, which is very comforting. The other thing is, you can TELL these people take PRIDE in their store. As a former retail worker myself, I especially notice tidy shelves (that front facing is on point, you guys!). The store is wonderfully organized and neat. It's obvious that the workers care about maintaining and cleaning. Also, the guy who rang me up was super nice. He was tall, had reddish-orange hair, and wore glasses. Really friendly. Overall, yes, the prices are more expensive because it's a small grocery store, so I understand that. Would I be able to shop here regularly for all my groceries, no. But do I feel good supporting them from time to time? YES. Service is great, they keep their store spic and span, and they have a cool selection of various items.

Westlake Market is the perfect neighborhood grocery store. The staff are extremely friendly and really get to know their customers- many of them know my name and they go out of their way to help. Jeannette always have stickers at the register and a high five for my kids. Candy makes sure they have the right brand of chocolate milk and make sure to ask if I can find everything I need. All of the staff care about the customers. The store is smaller than the large supermarkets but they do a good job of keeping it well stocked and it is so convenient to get in and out. You can alway find a parking spot right out front and I almost never wait in line. This is a local gem.

Expensive. Makes sense because it's family owned. Ben and Jerry's pint was $6 when I can get it at Walmart for $4. Also, the cashier (young male) was kinda standoffish. Wouldn't recommend coming here!

Family-owned local business. It's a really cute market that has most things one would need. Some of the costs are pricier than at local markets, but they also have some great deals! Rarely a long line and they have a great beer selection.
