Anesthesia did not come for over 2 hours after my labs, IV and fluid were in and it was too late. When she did arrive, she played on the chart for 5-10mins and announced "well YOU know I'm not a miracle worker". I perform epidurals and never once mentioned that -- I guess that's the info she was digging for. It was as if she decided to intentional contaminate her kit in order to stall. The comment she made hurtful, I was pleading for anything. My brand new nurse gave me my only allowable dose of pain medication the second I got there. I felt trapped. My baby was malpositioned - OP. No attempts were made at repositioning him and I have a massive rectocele now. The kicker was the tubal. After delay after delay and them fear mongering because of the holiday that I couldn't do it. I went at 5 pm after not eating for an entire day. The anesthesiologist told me he would put a "touch of tetracaine" in the spinal. The man was in his 70s and was practicing before I was born. I said nothing despite my surprise about his unorthodox technique. The first attempt completed failed and he repeated the spinal. A risk not many I know would take and it lasted over 12 hrs. I was alone all night paralyzed with a baby crying every 30 mins. Nurses were too busy to help me and I had my husband at home with our other kids. Terrible would be a polite way to put it. I could barely sit up and reach over the bassinet let alone do it in a way that wouldn't wake him up. Don't go there even if you plan to not need anesthesia, these anesthesiologists are out of practice and their skills are not efficient with reality.

My wife and I have been under Sutter healthcare for four or five years now, and could not be happier. Dr. Disilva as our primary is so kind and very knowledgeable and thorough. Dr. Ferguson has been extremely good as well in urology. Dr. Porter did an excellent job with my knee problem. Dr Michels in dermatology also excellent. Can't leave out Dr. Magpantay who has done wonders with my allergies. Our only comment is that the wait time for appointments can be a little long. But other than that Sutter Davis is an excellent medical facility.

I was admitted to the hospital via the ER. Great care up to that point. One in my room a Dr. DeSilva comes in. I asked him 2 simple questions, both times ignored. Ask for a new doc and get Dr. Wang. Nice guy but speaks poor english and laughs all the time. Impossible to communicate. After being there for a week they were still clueless as to what was wrong. The nurses were all very nice while the lab tech major attitude. The rooms on med surg all look like they were converted closets or offices while the ICU looks state of the art. If you can go to Sacramento, you will be much happier.

Nice staff, went to the ER for difficult breathing, serious pain and nausea at 1am. Care is provided very fast, no waiting time, and an hour of waiting for test results with medication provided and prescribed.

The operator who routes calls should be fired. This was my first time calling the hospital and had a horrible experience. The operator today 1/30/24 at 11:34 am was very unprofessional, lacked customer service skills, had no empathy, and really shouldn't be in the business of dealing with families or patients at all on the phone. This is a hospital for god sakes. I called several times and she still had an unpleasant attitude and was angry when asked simple questions. Do better Sutter! You can tell when someone just hates their job.

We called the advice nurse because due to Covid ( yes I am fully vaccinated), my throat was so sore I just couldn't swallow anything . The advice nurse was concerned about dehydration and recommended the ER. Once at the ER a blood test showed I had a very low sodium level and was admitted. I experienced the doctors, technicians, and nurses to be good. I experienced the aides to be pretty bad are the people to help you with basic needs and comfort . They came in and did nothing to even initiate washing up, brushing teeth, etc. I are currently not mobile so I needed assistance. They seemed to leave the room very quickly. I called the aides to help me sit on the bedside toilet. The aide said go in your pants and we will clean you up because the physical therapist here said that you are too weak to get out of bed ( which I wasn't with assistance). The issue with that is that no physical therapist had been in to see me. I hung up on her. Waited a few minutes and called again. Another aide answered and came in to help me. Guess she didn't want to be bothered to do her job! One last thing, the food is awful. I could eat only food that came in little plastic cups with a sealed cover on top--such as applesauce and pudding --purchased foods. On the other hand if you like buttered wheat bread with a piece of packaged turkey lunchmeat or tan or brown gravy over some chewy, mystery meat, this is the place for you if you need a hospital.

It's just awful! I can not believe this organization is allowed to operate in the offensive manner it does. I was treated horribly by doctors DaSilva in Davis and Hamid Kourdoni in Yuba City. Both doctors and their staff and management are aggressive, hostile, and completely ill-mannered. Dr. DaSilva makes medical recommendations and simply does not follow through. His supervisor, Lydia, is offensive and sends hostile and threatening emails and letters when you try to get your medical concerns and needs met. Both the Yuba City and Davis branches have no hesitancy to simply lie and make things up! Do not expect to be respected, and certainly don't expect prompt and appropriate treatment of your medical care. Just awful!

Our family has had two recent experiences with SDH emergency room and one hospitalization. In both cases the ER treatments were very thorough and diagnostic procedures very helpful in achieving a proper outcome. Facilities have been upgraded and up to date. All personnel have been very clear in communicating. I understand that no one likes having to be admitted to a hospital but I think SDH provides high quality care. Patients must be willing to manage their own expectations realistically in order not to be disappointed.

I never thought I'd write a positive review within the context of a difficult and traumatic part of my life... but I want to give a huuuge shoutout to ER Techs Michael and Desmond at the Sutter Davis Emergency Room. Michael is very attentive and anticipated my needs to ensure I felt comfortable during my stay. He is also a wonderful conversationalist and has an impeccable sense of humor. Desmond is very upbeat and lightened the mood with his goofy personality during an otherwise depressing situation. He made sure my visitor friends and I were all nice and situated and even participated in our fun little shenanigans. If you ever cross paths with either one of these gentlemen, you can be rest assured that you're in great hands. I was very lucky to have been under their care during my time in the ER.

This now the 3rd time I am doing this because my review was taken down the last two times. Sutter Davis ER is the worst ER I have ever been to. The staff is rude, unprofessional and are bullies. When I walked in two girls working the front looked up at me looked at each other and then both gave me dirty looks. They came off as immature mean girls that still have high school mentality. I waited over an hour to be called for my vitals to be checked that never happened 45mins into my wait a couple came in who apparently thought that were priority over everyone there the husband after only 5 mins of being there started to be pushy and say his wife in pain. I was in severe pain myself but that staff accommodated them while other people such as elders and children were waiting a long time just to have their vitals checked. When I asked the staff why is it that she is being seeing their response was she's in pain. Okay I'm in pain too severe pain intact I had noted on that paper. The nurses were extremely rude and racist, clearly there's a reason why they let that woman go in front of everyone that's been waiting for over an hour to be seen. And I do understand the priority system but there was people that had way more going on then her that they made wait. I decided to leave because at this point the staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional. When I called to speak to the charge nurse who is also extremely rude and unprofessional, would not let me get a word in in fact he yelled at me and I asked him can I speak? And his response was NOPE. Then I said you are a nurse do you.... Click! The charge nurse hung up on me! I was going to ask if he had any compassion for people but clearly hanging up on me he did not. When you have people like that I charge poorly unprofessional people in charge you end up having a poorly unprofessional staff. This ER staff has has disgusting attitude towards patients and is extremely rude. I ended up at downtown Sutter Sacramento and that ER was so much better and the staff was kind and caring and way busier then Sutter Davis but still makes sure everyone is cared for. I will be filling a complaint with the patient relations department. Yelling and hanging up on a patient is not something someone should get away with. That charge nurse didn't even care to hear my side and try to resolve the issue. But explains why the staff is the way they are.

literally the worst experience. I come in with chest pain and head ache, so guess what they do. electrodes and chess scan for the chest and just some tylenol for the head ache. head ache is gone so now there's just the chest pain, and what do they do. Give me some medicine and check up on me after 40 minutes. All because of some b******* about my nerves being confused and that the pain I feel in my chest is really coming from my stomach. Then when they ask me if the pain is gone I utter the words "a little bit". Next time the nurse shows up she has the discharge papers in her hand and sends me out. I literally feel the same coming out of the hospital as I did going into the hospital.

Came to the ER for my boyfriend yesterday, as he was experiencing a fever of over 102, chills, and headaches for several days. After being seen, we were only prescribed nausea medicine, however completely disregarded his fever and heart rate of over 120! Not to mention, giving him a hard time about his MediCAL for over 30 minutes, clearly showing how greedy they are, instead of doing their job. My partner was clearly dehydrated and lethargic, but after requesting an IV fluid, we were denied and told by a really rude blonde nurse that "if the doctor says it isn't necessary then, it isn't" and that every facility is "different." Today, it was shown how "different" it really is after going to the Kaiser ER in Sacramento and being given an IV fluid almost IMMEDIATELY. It is really sad to see how discriminatory they are against their patients to deny us the treatments we need. Not surprising for it being YOLO county. Never coming here again. If you want to go somewhere, where you actually feel cared for, go to Kaiser!
