Unfortunately, Yelp doesn't allow a negative star but if it would be possible, this place would be -10!Planned a regular maintenance and asked for the engine of my Jeep Liberty to be looked at since I noticed a couple of days before that it made more noise then normal. Appointment set, checked the car in and was told that it would take a day or 2 (brought it in on a Thursday morning). After not having received any updates on Tuesday, I decided to call. 15min into being connected to the 'service department' I finally had someone on the line who informed me that the noise of the engine was due to the fact that the engine was 'knocking' and a new PCM would need to be installed. Part was supposedly not easy to find ... Fine, I would wait a week. That week passed and turned into several unfruitful calls and the request to wait another week. After deciding to go to the garage in person, I was able to talk to the 'service manager' (I forgot his name...) who ordered the PCM and was notified that it would cost $800! Allrightie, the Jeep is worth it, so let's do this.3+ weeks later (and at least 2 dozen calls - last call 'yes sir , we fixed it') I decided to try my luck and visit the garage again as I hoped the promise of finding my Jeep with a new PCM would be granted. But no no no no, that wasn't the case. Not only was I then told that the engine was completely broken (the knocking sounds was a piston that broke) and a new engine would be needed (estimated at $6k - so I better total the car ) my bill had also risen to over $1k!!!! I would be charged for the PCM (supposedly installed but upon opening the hood, all the cables were loose, the cover was as well, filter box dangling unattached... you get it, dismantled the whole thing) and the 'REPAIRS' ????? So not only did they butchered the engine, they wanted to charge me for it? Ended up paying $400 for the PCM (instead of the quotes $800 - all of a sudden there was a discount )Never ever again!!!!! Took the car to another mechanic who confirmed the botched job and had to junk the car.Do not go there!!!!

The Purchase of my Truck was easy and smooth. More importantly, after I purchased the Truck I needed to take it in for Service. After having some communications issues with the service department, the Service Manager Tom, personally called me to help sort things out. This really Impressed me, as it conveyed to me customer service and having happy clients really matter to them. Tom made sure all my concerns were addressed and I was beyond satisfied with the service from that point forward!

The service department here is the slowest and worst I have ever encountered. It's always the same. They are completely understaffed and totally disinterested. They could not care less about your time. It's like the DMV. Once, they made me wait 4 hours for an oil change only to put a totally inappropriate oil in the car. Due to its proximity compared to other dealerships, my spouse kept booking her car here for progressively smaller jobs hoping they could handle it. They cannot. It's always zero star service. They will promise you on the phone that they can turn the car around in a reasonable time. There is only one person checking in several people. That person has no idea why you are there and wants the car there all day for even the smallest things. If you live in Davis and want to drop you car all day for something that will take 45 minutes, then maybe this is a place for you. Otherwise, any other dealership or shop would be better, faster, and a better experience. This place is really terrible.

Pricing information not accurate. I confirmed through email with an employee and with my credit Union's car buying service. When I went there they tried to charge me 4000 over MSRP. They said that the website was wrong and that the employee didn't send that email that it must have been automatic or that it wasn't him even though it clearly was. They were going to lower the price to the advertised one but I left because of their lack of transparency. Will not be going back.

Absolutely the worst. Extremely rude service manager. Can't find paperwork for service contracts. Zero stars for customer service. I will never do business with Hanlees in Davis again.

This dealership has the WORST service department. The ladies who staff the cashier desk are so RUDE and have zero customer service skills. Absolutely snotty and it is obvious they are only there for a paycheck . The service takes forever. I waited 20 minutes just to check in for my service. Some lady completely cut me off and they took her before me. I went to the cashier to explain the situation and she just told me "If it's service I can't help you," I informed her she didn't even let me explain and she told me again "Can't help you.". If you have an appointment at 8 expect to be done by 2 at the earliest. Only plus is that Roman our service rep is super nice! It's a shame that it's the only closest dealership to us within 40 miles

I really wish I didn't have to write this review. I'll start with the positives: I think the people in the Hanlees service department are nice people. Muhammad and Tom, as well as the front desk folks, are always kind and personable. The problem is that they say one thing and do (or frankly, don't do) another. My van has now been in the shop for more than THREE MONTHS. I've called repeatedly and gone in-person to ask what is happening. The best I can tell is that they need to take it to another dealership's service station to fix a particular recall issue, but they have just been too lazy to actually do it. For. Three. Months. Maybe there's some other problem they are trying to grapple with, but if so they certainly haven't bothered to tell me what it is - and I've tried calling multiple times for the past few weeks to ask for more info, and even gone in person. All to no avail. At some point, the convenience of taking a car to a local service department to support a local business where one lives is no longer worth it. That is clearly the case for this location. I wish that weren't true, because as I've said, the people here are nice.I will post an update if / when any progress is made.** Posting an update on 6-2-23: I finally have resolution on this problem. Tom, the service manager, was able to follow up and take my car to another Chrysler dealership to have them complete the recall. He apologized for the delay and provided a number of free services. Although I wish it hadn't taken three and a half months to get my car back, it is now fixed.** One more update, 6-9-23: Downgrading back to one star because the aftermath of this has been frankly unbelievable. When I picked up my car after it had been sitting on their service lot for three and a half months to fix a recall issue that another Chrysler dealership ended up fixing in two days, I found out that the back window no longer worked. When I took it in to see what happened, they said the window regulator broke and REFUSED TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY even though it broke while sitting on their lot due to their own negligence. They tried to force me to pay $1,000 to fix the window--again, a problem that only happened because it took them three months to fix a two-day problem. And although they've promised to fix it by today, today has come and gone without me getting my car back. Please beware: taking your vehicle to this service department is a very, very risky bet. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Elk Grove and Vacaville service departments have both been vastly more responsive and honest than Hanlees Davis.

They had the Toyota Highlander we were looking for at a decent price. However, as is typical of car dealers they low balled us on our trade-in (2016 Toyota Tundra). We really like the car we purchased from them. They failed to even wash the exterior of the vehicle before we took possession of it. Typical dealer making money on your trade-in and on the vehicle you buy.

Unfortunately this dealership is both unhelpful, and unfriendly. It's almost like they aren't in the customer service business at all.In my experience, I came to the dealership to buy 2 small parts for body moulding on a Ram pickup that's still in warranty. I arrived at 11:45 am. The Parts Dept. was closed. The receptionist dismissively told me the parts counter employee was "at lunch" and I could wait until his return-"probably around 12:30." Please note-the website does not indicate any closed hours for lunch. I asked a service advisor if she could assist (she had no customer), and when I told her what I needed, I was told I'd have yo deal with parts. So I returned at 3:15 (note: their website says parts is open until 4:00). Then I was told that the Parts Department closed at 2:00-so I should come back another day.I recommend Hoblit in Woodland. They'll go the extra mile to assist. And they aren't going to dismiss you like it's a bother.

Fraude/Scam/ Do not trust. My fiancé and I traded in our used vehicle for a brand new truck. We were told that the price would be 47k firm (taxes included) with trade in. We were also told that the 47k INCLUDED taxes and additional fees. What they didn't tell us or mention to us as we're signing was that there was a 20k refinancing fee. It wasn't until we got hone and read the paper work that we saw this. Had we known, we wouldn't gave gone through with this. We were also asked to make a $1,500 down payment towards the vehicle in exchange for a lower monthly payment. They ran me debit card for $1,500 for what was told to be a down payment. It wasn't until we read the paperwork at home that we saw they put $0.0 for a down payment and instead they used it to pay off the negative equity of the trade in vehicle.Shame on us for not seeing this at the time of signing but shame on them for scamming us into a false contract. Shame on them for doing this to our family. Do not trust them.Would rate 0 stars if I was able to.

One star is generous. My daughter brought her 2019 Wrangler in for service. An absolutely disgusting example of a service department taking advantage of a young woman. She brought it in to have the battery replaced and was charged $722.50 for a new battery. They charged her $200 for a battery (which is what the total charge should have been as this was the estimate) but they added $400 in labor. We will be contacting Jeep to formally complain about the dealership and the disgraceful business practices.
