Stayed here for over 2 weeks thanks to a work trip. This place had free EV chargers which was amazing and saved me a ton. Breakfast sucked as it was the same thing everyday for the entire 16 days I was there. On a good note though, special shoutout to Cameron at the front desk for making this a great experience. Give my man a raise!

Hyatt House Davis was perfect for housing my 30+ student-athletes traveling to Davis for the weekend. The rooms are extremely spacious, have a lot of space to lounge, and are perfect for 4-6 people for a room. Very close to the UC Davis campus and downtown Davis. Highly recommend if you are traveling with a large group!

With three adults and a child, we paid extra for a room with a convertible sofa bed, but the mattress was absolutely unusable. Thin, worn out, and you could feel every piece of spring and metal poking up through it. The only logical explanation is that the Central Intelligence Agency no longer had use for it as a torture method in Guantánamo Bay, and Hyatt was able to pick it up for a song. Less understandable was the electrical outlet situation. Nearly every single one in the room was on a 30 minute motion detector timer. This made it nearly impossible to charge devices overnight, and the CPAP machine of course stopped functioning. I understand the need for energy efficiency, but what guest device exactly, becomes unnecessary after 30 minutes? The lights, OK. The TV, OK. But what engineer in their right mind would decide to shut down power to something expressly plugged in?

Overall the service and everything was fine. I do wish it was made more obvious that there was a $15 security deposit, from that $10 was used to pay for parking and you get $5 back after your stay. The room was very nice, just confusing to get to. If a room ends in 01, you would think it would be first off by the elevator, but instead it was closer by the stairs. Which at that point it was easier to just take tend stairs down instead of walk down the hall to get to the elevator. The light switches wouldn’t turn on as we were coming in, which was annoying since it was already dark out at this point, and it was awkward trying to walk into the room and the lights only came on after we had gotten into the room and shut the door.Only major problem was no hot water. We tried to shower at 7 AM, no hot water. Left it on for 10 minutes, no change. Tried again at 8:50 AM, still no hot water. Tried again around 10:30, still no hot water. I don’t know if being placed at the end of the hall has any impact on that, we weren’t expecting a lot of traveling at this time so I’m surprised there wasn’t any hot water to shower withOh, the mirror screen feature was great, we were able to watch movies on popular streaming services via the wifi and a code connected to our phone.Food & drinks: Wasn’t impressed with the scrambled eggs for breakfast. The seasoned sweet potatoes weren’t done great either. Bacon and apple juice were fine, as was the oatmeal. Wish there were some berries or other fruit, but there was oranges and green apples.

This hotel was excellent. The spacious room was modern, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom shower had the most pressure of any hotel shower I've ever used. There is a wonderful breakfast with eggs, sausage, a French toast or pancake option, hot oatmeal, yogurt, toast and bagels, donut holes, juices and rich coffee with creamer options. The breakfast area is clean, expansive and a lovely place to relax in the morning. We did not use the pool or nice looking patio this trip. Staff was very nice, although their attire wasn't as professional as I expected. I didn't remember being told that there was no daily housekeeping so we had to ask for fresh towels but they were brought right up. Gladly stay here again.

Nice hotel, but we expected more. The room and especially the bed were comfortable. The sliding door to the bathroom was off-putting. It's a little noisy at night and doesn't completely close. Breakfast was quite plain and spare. I would recommend based on the excellent bed.Nearby activities: The hotel is adjacent to the UC Davis campus, a beautiful place, in my opinion. I would not promote the hotel location as an area for walking.

I want to give 5 stars but the highway noise was a deal breaker. If you're a sound sleeper, this is a great deal. The room was clean and comfortable. The bedside had outlets. For a longer stay, the closet and drawer space, fridge, couch, and desk area would be nice amenities. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap. The shower was large with a nice, big shower head and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was decent - scrambled eggs, ham, pancakes, oatmeal, cereal, bread items, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee, and tea.

Good stay at this Hyatt spot!Staff is friendly. Had a dog with us so I paid a $75 fee. Website mentioned there was a $10/day parking fee, but I didn't end up getting charged. Hopefully stays that way with free parking. Also, parking spots are small. Wish there were more entrances to get into the hotel instead of the main one.Rooms have a good layout. Relatively new feel to them. Decent breakfast as well. When I went in early June, they did have late night construction down the street...to go to safeway there and back should have taken 10 minutes, ended up taking an hour...so just be aware.Would definitely be back in the future!

Pretty standard Hyatt House, on the newer side, so most things were in good shape. Best part of the stay was the staff at the front desk, always friendly and eager to help. I would definitely stay here again when I'm in the area. Other things to know:-Shower water pressure was light. -Small, but adequate gym. Life Fitness cardio equipment. Good AC in there, but still gets a little stuffy without any fans. -Located next to a freeway without much in easy walking distance. Lots of stores and restaurants within a 2-mile radius though, so either plan for a long walk or quick drive. Nugget Market was a great place to get snacks for the room, and Yang Kee Dumplings was my favorite restaurant in the area. -Free breakfast buffet -- edible, but not great. -Free parking. Landscaping was very overgrown in the lot.

IF you stay at this hotel, avoid the side facing the freeway+railway. There is a noise/hum 24 hr. This makes it impossible to open the window for fresh air. Bring ear plugs. Also, bed was very soft, not firm.

Great hotel. Big rooms, fantastic shower, satisfying breakfast. The only draw back was the laundry facilities are coin operated. We were told the desk had quarters but when we went down there about 10 minutes later they didn't have any.Nearby activities: Davis is a cute town with lots of shops and restaurants in the downtown area. The university has a beautiful nature walk.
