Great first experience today for a pedicure. The husband took my appointment over the phone with 15min notice and did my nails. He was methodical and attentive, and did a great job with every step. Paid $40 cash (plus tip) for a gel pedicure with many of the luxury upgrades that I would expect from a more expensive “spa pedicure”: sugar scrub, hot stone massage etc. this will be my new pedicure spot in town!

When we entered, the staff was extremely rude. We greeted them, but the man ignored us. When I asked him about removing acrylic nails, he dismissively told me, 'Don't tell my wife anything; she knows what she's doing.' I was simply asking a question, yet he chose to prioritize another customer instead. The rude and discriminatory behavior was very apparent. We will never return to this establishment. If I could give them a negative zero rating, I would.

WOW. SIMPLY WOW. I would’ve given 0 star if they have this option.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this nail salon. There are only two employees, and both had a terrible attitude. On 05/21, I went for a gel manicure and pedicure. The male technician who started my manicure rushed through it when a new customer walked in. He completed my nails in less than 10 minutes without even cleaning the cuticles, and the polish was sloppy and outside the nail lines. I was upset but politely asked him to fix it. He then had the female technician clean my cuticles and remove the excess polish. I thought my request was completely reasonable and I had treated her with respect. She had to clean up the guy’s mess, and I felt sorry for her, which is why I tried to comfort her, told her it was okay, said multiple “thank you” while she was cleaning, and tipped her around 25% in cash for her effort.
However, when I returned with my mother today, I specifically asked for the female technician. They refused, kicked me out, and told me they wouldn’t serve me because I “gave her too much stress.”
I was in shock when I heard that, and almost laughed cuz I was too speechless about the comment. Stressful? For what? Was it because I politely asked them to clean up the nail when they messed up, or was it because I tipped more? Crazy. It seems like they discriminate against Chinese customers because I observed that they were very friendly towards white customers. The same request to redo the nails would never have gotten a white person kicked out.
I am sharing my most honest experience without any exaggeration. Please take this into consideration before visiting this place.

Stylist: Bad attitude, unprofessional manicure, rudeness to customers, rushed service.

I went to moons nails last week and I got a gel mani and a regular pedicure. I wasn't too pleased with the service as my gel mani had a lot of bumps and unevenness that I only realized once I left the spa. I think this is due to them being short of staff and so they rushed me due to too many people coming in, even though I came first. I also wasn't too happy with the vibe they had a huge tv and it was constantly switching channels and just was kinda intense. It didn't have the relaxing spa element I was expecting. I do like the prices here; they are cheaper than some but I mainly go for the vibe and it just didn't have it for me.

I just got a simple French tip and the quality was great, the service was great but there was some confusion when I first walked in on the prices and the lady was nice enough to just give me the price of what I'm sure I was told. I appreciated the way she handled the situation. Afterwards, she kind of rushed me out of the shop and I thought that was a little rude. But overall I would recommend because my situation alone had nothing to do with the quality of the service.

Nails extension not good and please do not go waste of time.
They did uneven nails and they also did not fill colors in the corners.
After telling them also they did not even correct it.

Figured I'd give this place a try since it had so many great reviews but in the end I was very unhappy with my experience. Both husband and wife were working and the salon was super slow so need to rush but it felt as though the husband was rushing. The gel nail polish came out very thick with bubbles making the surface of the nail not smooth. He was very rough and cut my fingers a few times. I had to ask him to clean the powder underneath my nails which made him annoyed. Since I was the only one there I decided to calmly bring up the issues to them only for them to not care at all.

I had a Gift Card my boss had given me. I finally had time to use it so I thought I'd treat myself and get a deluxe pedicure (rather than my regular basic gel pedicure). The place seemed clean, but nothing was remarkable about it. Time came to pay and I produced my Gift Cert and was ready to supplement any additional with cash. Instead, the pedicurist called the Owner over. She told me she was the new Owner, she had recently bought the place. Mind you it still had the same name that was on my Gift Certificate. She refused to honor the Gift Certificate. I was disappointed because I was now out a bit of cash that I wasn't expecting to spend, nor would I have splurged if I knew my Gift Certificate wouldn't be honored. If the new Owner had a business/customer service mindset, she would've honored the Gift Certificate AND secured a life long customer. I didn't even want to leave a tip at this point but I didn't want to punish the pedicurist for her bosses poor decision. So I left with a very unsatisfactory experience. Even disregarding the GC situation, nothing was great about my pedicure. None of the employees even attempted to make conversation or made me feel welcome. The pedicure was odd in the way that the color wasn't on my entire toe nail if that makes any sense. So I just dealt with it until I could go back to my regular spot in Woodland where at least I feel like they want my business and don't mind doing the leg massage, etc.

I love coming to Moon’s Nails & Spa! The owners are so sweet & they do my nails exactly how I like them! I’m very picky with the shape & they do it perfectly!
