I would expect a pharmacy to be health conscious, but I was disappointed to find that they did not provide hand sanitizer at the pharmacy checkout. When I asked for some to be provided for the customers, I was given one pump then it was returned behind the counter where no customers could see it. When I asked for it to remain up front (I hadn't yet paid and knew I would need it again after i touched the pinpad), I was met with great resistance. As a health/drug store, please make the spread of disease a higher priority.

Workers are nosy and seem to have nothing to do but sit at the counter. Whenever I shop I feel like they're just waiting for me to finish.

Extremely slow pharmacy staff. I got there a little before 5:50 and didn't have my prescription until 6:20. It had been reshelved and I was told 15 minutes which didn't happen.

Extremely rude and discourteous pharmacist with an attitude who refused to help locate a much needed medication. Have never experienced this with any other pharmacy or location.

I specifically get my prescriptions now at this Rite Aid because of the great pharmacy staff who are always polite, helpful and professional.

I was in a bit of a rush picking up my medication this evening and the fem working at the pharmacy counter was great! They were quick, efficient, and polite but not overly chatty.

went there to get passport photo. it's 8.99 here, it's cheaper than CVS. but you need to cut it to 2x2 yourself. they don't cut it for you, they just give you one big sheet with two photos. it's not easy to cut to 2x2 exactly to requirements..do not go here for passport photos. go someplace else where they give you the photos already cut. UPDATE: the head in the pic might be too big and rather than risk a rejection we took a new pic at the ARC. just take the photo at the ARC for $15 when you submit the passport app is easier.

They will leave you on hold until you hang up. After 10 or 15 minutes, just give up. They're not gonna help you.

Pharmacy mostly is ok but often is hard to get ahold of. This time they received a prescription and texted me to inform me they couldn't fill it. I tried calling as it was somewhat of an emergency and no one will answer either at the pharmacy or at the store. I've been trying to call for two hours now. They didn't actually input the prescription into the computer so no other rite aid stores can help me with it. And since it's the weekend I can't get ahold of my drs office.

Really disappointing service. They don’t answer the phone. They don’t inform you there’s a problem with your order so when you come in is when you find out you have to do other things before you can get your meds. Then when I came in for the 3rd time they tell me to wait for 30 minutes. I come back an hour later and they tell me to come back tomorrow. Don’t come here.

Really awful pharmacy. If you call, no one picks up the phone 99% of the time. The 1% someone picks up they say "Hold" and never get back to you - have waited as long as 20 minutes. They're not any better in person, they don't know what they're doing, take forever, and are rude. Last straw. New pharmacist will not refill prescriptions for medications I have been getting there for years without "discussing with my doctor". Seriously?! I am not interested in RiteAid employees second guessing my doctor or me and interfering in my healthcare. I will get my prescriptions filled at a different pharmacy.

Overall this Rite-Aid is "Okay." I looked through some of the other reviews, and I do agree that the older woman in the pharmacy has never been easy to get along with. She makes you feel defensive as you pick up your medication. I've often felt a little glad when it hasn't been her who has been there to assist me. That being said, I do think she has improved somewhat during the 5 years that I lived in Davis. Her attitude has adjusted somewhat to be more hospitable, although I do not know if that is a result of me continuing to use this Rite-Aid, not just as a student passing by from one year to the next. The younger staff is often more kind and friendly. There is one younger, asian pharmacist who provides wonderful guidance on using the medication. Shout out to her. My last experience though was this August. I asked for a flu shot (honestly so that I could beat the rush of students who would arrive in September and October). The staff (neither of who are ones I mentioned above) loudly spoke to each other grumbling about how more students like me would be coming in so they need to start getting ready for flu shots season. That kind of bothered me because I was being made to feel like a nuisance to them. Again, maybe because they didn't see me as someone more than a student. I'm not even a student. I felt like I had to defend myself and say that I was coming in specifically to beat the rush of students, and the staff member looked at me differently. That didn't stop her from jabbing the needle into my arm. I'd never experienced the amount of blood which dripped down after a flu shot. I looked down surprised, and to be honest I think she wanted to cover up that this wasn't a normal occurrence because she said "yeah that happens all the time." But I don't think it does.
