Safeway is not the business we remember. The interactions with the employees used to be a positive part of the experience. The new employees there are not friendly and the guest service is horrible. They make it feel like it is your fault if there is something that is mislabeled with a different price. For example we purchased coffee marked $5.49 but we were charged $15.99 with our Safeway Club Card. See photo below. They wouldn't honor the price on the box of $5.49 and said the price on the register was correct $15.99. The woman at the customer service desk was not helpful and a bit rude. We are definitely considering shopping at Nugget. It's a little further and maybe a little more expensive but a much better shopping experience. We miss the old employees that worked there. Shop at night when Dave is there. He is helpful and has great guest service.

All the employees I've interacted with here are super nice and always helpful if you can't find something. I'm giving 2 stars because some low IQ manager decided midnight on Halloween would be a good time to block off the whole liquor section to wax the floors. I'm sure they knew what they were doing but why would you intentionally try to piss off your customers. Just lame

Please retrain Molly I have been here on 3 separate occasions and everytime she just throws my stuff in a bag and smashes the chips and bread. She on multiple occasions has shown she doesn't care. Just please retrain her because I don't like to be rude but ill have to say something next time if it happens

I had to run to this Safeway deli for sandwiches yesterday. I was hesitant since trips to this safeway's deli have been difficult in the past. This time I was quickly greeted by Kendall. Kendall helped me, making multiple sandwiches quickly and making sure each one was exactly what I wanted. He made my whole day better. He also immediately went to help other customers after he was sure I was satisfied. He was awesome.

Lots of essentials missing or empty. Lactose milk almost all gone. Had to resort to quart size cuz ALL the half gallons of every brand is gone. Snacks such as fig bars or bars are almost empty as well. WTH! It's middle of the week. Literally! Maybe it's just my luck. Unfortunately was a bad experience for me. Just a bad night I guess. Pros is that it opens late so accommodates the desperate, last min shopper and night owls.

I'm mostly here to make a complaint but I'll highlight the pros first. Safeway has great prices and large variety of goods. I haven't interacted much with its associates but they seem friendly enough. The first time I received an e-gift card the associate used it with no problem. The second time I received an e-gift card the associate mentioned how the e-gift cards wouldn't scan all the time but he still tried. Fortunately, I was able to use my e-gift card for that transaction. - The third time (which was today) I showed my e-gift card to the cashier and he refused to even try to scan it. He simply told me it didn't work. I mentioned how I used an e gift card last time and he stayed silent. ***Here's my main issue. It takes less than 10 seconds to even try and scan my electronic gift card off of my phone. Especially, since I already had it pulled up. Fortunately I had other methods of payment but there are no signs in the store mentioning that e-gift card can't be used. I walked 2 miles in the cold rain just to be denied a service that you guys offer. It's baffling. I'll continue shopping here but it's a small yet very disappointing detail that ruins a loyal customers entire experience.

Horrible customer service all round. A deli worker slammed metal tongs when I asked for service, a cashier refused to say hello while having ear buds in, the floor workers blocked the breakfast meats and ignored me when I asked to get by. This all happened in my last two visits. I've decided to take my business to the far superior Davis Food Co-op and Save Mart because this type of service is par for the course at this Safeway. If these were isolated incidents I'd let it go but this is about 90% of my trips.

Terrible experience i am two months pregnant i was followed around as if i was stealing i'm sure due t the color of my skin my boyfriend were the only two of color there the loss prevention guy i caught "sneaking around " every time i looked over my shoulder . i asked the manager for a bag , well my boyfriend did and he just started at him i grabbed my own bag and proceeded to shop . once we were in the back where the bathrooms are we were followed , i asked if he could replace the toilet paper in the bathroom he ignored me Completely and turned around and walked out ! Once we got to the register he stood there throughout our whole transaction not knowing i'm a shopper for door dash and this wasn't even a personal trip i am pissed completely and will never ever come back here . if i do i'll puke on the floor so manager can have something to do rather than follow innocent people around . Zero stars if i could that was beyond disrespectful.

Not a safe place to shop. I was in Thanksgiving morning, and half a dozen customers not wearing masks (another dozen or so with noise out of maks) and employees seeing them and not addressing it.

Horrible lines. One cashier to handle the entire load. Counted 20 people waiting in his line. There was also ~20 people waiting tomuse the self checkout. As soon as I saw this, I turned around a walkeds out. Hire some cashier's for Christ's sake
